If he prays for the removal of ALL magical work done on him when taking the baths you might consider making a new one afterwards. Keep working the jar you got. Wait and see how he behaves a few weeks after the completion of the baths.

StarStruck, what Johannes said is correct -- the honey jar is a separate spell. Only if the 13 Herb Bath is to remove YOUR love magic as well as her magic would the honey jar need to be done over. Generally speaking, the 13 Herb Bath is to remove EVIL or BINDING or CAROSSING magic, not to remove reconciliation spells.

I know I was coloring outside the lines and generally DON'T like to mix & match cultural stuff, but I practice her anyway and live in a small town in central Texas where I can't get empowerments and the like to do her more magical practices, so I worked with what I had. By nature, she's very forgiving. I wouldn't recommend mixing like this with a fussier deity.

I have a Honey Jar on a Judge involved on my case and I started off using the Purple candles on top! My goal is for him to be nice and award my case!!! Which color shall I use Now?
I love you Jesus!
Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Brown is the most traditional color for court cases, as you dress the candle with Court Case Oil, you would petition and call out the judge's name, 'as this honey tastes sweet to me, so shall you find me sweet and rule in my favor.'

I have a bit leftover of an herb packet that came with the reconcilliation honey jar kit. I was wondering whats the total number of the herbs that are in this mix that comes with the kit?

Can you do a money or love honey jar, not for a specific person, but for people in general? I.e. "all potential business leads / customers / etc."
Thoughts?

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Well I had a strange experience today-- I have a jar that I have been working for nearly two months. It's a half pint jar filled with molasses in which I had placed a name paper citing a work colleague I am interested in-- I also had included (folded in the paper) a strand of his hair and various herbs related to love and attraction.
I've been burning red candles on top of the jar-- before using each candle I have been carving his name on it with a pin, and dressing it with Come to Me Oil.
So! This morning I was burning the candle before heading to work- then I had to leave, so I pinched out the flame intending to relight it again later. When I came home from work, the jar was upside down, completely flipped over, and the partially burned candle was next to it. This is REALLY strange, as it's a pretty heavy and flat jar! I don't see how it could have flipped over.
No one was in the house who could have done this.
Anyway! I'm not suggesting this is some supernatural occurrence, but it sure is strange and it certainly got my attention!!
What's odd is that the spell has been working very well, as this person has been becoming closer to me as a friend and has also pointed me toward an additional job opportunity that I received good news about today. Actually today we were closer than we ever have been! So this flipped-over jar was just pretty jarring to see when I walked in, as I haven't ever had that experience.
In any case, any insights would be extremely welcome!! Thank you so much--

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Hello everyone.. so I just started my honey jar last night and everything went well. Though while the candle was burning I started wondering if it is ok to let the candle burn from the star candle holder (i got one of the LM honey jar kits). My concern is that if it burns from the holder the wax won't be able to melt freely and form and shapes (if there is any residue, of course).
Would love to know what you all think. Thanks!

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
My AIRR reader advised me to put lodestones in my petition paper when making my honey jar. It looks like the lodestones have fallen through the paper, as the honey has weakened the parchment. Is this an issue?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Hello everyone,
an update to my earlier post-- I burned the next candle and the wax did run down through the star candle holder. There was barely anything on the holder itself but there was a drip on the side of the jar. I know that the tears on the side of the jar mean that someone will cry before the spell succeeds.
My questions-
1) How can the candle drip on the side of the jar when there was no wax remains in the holder itself?
2) Can I feed the wax remains to the candle flame while burning the next one?
3) The wicks of my candles never burn out. What does that mean? Is it considered the same as the black sooty residue?
4) Is it okay to remove the wicks out of the holder so that my candles would balance in the holder?
5) Lastly, Is it natural for the candle holder to turn black as the candle burns down?
I would appreciate any answers you have to offer!
Thanks

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
My questions are as follows 1, I was able to call into the radio show today and was told to do my own honey jar, although I'm new to hoodoo, I do after research know what I should put into it, dress it, etc. But what exactly should I put on the paper?? I mean I know to put my name and what around it, will that suffice? You can hear it on the radio show for Aug 28, 2010. I'm hoping someone that heard the show today will help. Thanks!
Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
To make the name paper you need to tear off a square of paper from a brown paper bag. Then write your entire name (first, middle &last) three times on it. Then turn the paper 90 degrees and write the person you are trying to affect across yours. Make sure that this is done in the center of the paper leaving enough room for you to write your wish. You will the write what you wish (for e.g. "love me" "love me" love me") in a circle enclosing both your names. You will do so in one continuous stroke without lifting pen or pencil from the paper. Then you dress the paper with whatever conjure oil you will be using. Lucky mojo actually sells a great honey jar with all the items you need along with great instructions!

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Thanks for your help, but maybe should've been clearer...I was told by the reading to do one on my self!! So I"m taking as to love my self more and to help with my depression issues...so after writing my name and turing it, I don't have another name, so do I put my name again? I'm needing to love my self more and help with lifting of spirits so I'll write around it something to that effect. But I'm just not sure what to put on it after my name and turning and before writing the circle.

I would write your name 3 or 7 times, and then turn the paper and write your petition on top of it - covering yourself with those positive qualities you are trying to bring.
There's no one way to write a petition paper, even for a honey jar. Pick something that makes sense to you symbolically.

If the purpose and prayer is the same, you can use it again, at least I have in the past, maybe someone else can chime in with more detail.
Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Hello. I'm not sure if this has been answered somewhere but I am waiting for some work to be done on an individual. He is not really around right now bc is very confused on his decisions. That's wat the work is for. But I feel we r too distant. I am expecting right now but wanted to start a honey jar. Would this be negative on the baby for the honey jar. And would the honey jar be a bad idea if iim getting clarity work done for him by one of the rootworkers on the AIRR site. also I'm confused as to which jar to get if I gt one. The Love. Stay w me. Or reconcilliation. I've waiting to hear back from my rootworker but it's been a while since I heard from that person and several days since the last time I tried contacting. Does anyone have good advice here? It would b appriciated. I know it takes a little bit for products to come in.

Yes. In theory you can also sweeten a whole neighbourhood by placing a map and dirt from four corners of the area in it and so on.suemarie110 wrote:Can you do a money or love honey jar, not for a specific person, but for people in general? I.e. "all potential business leads / customers / etc."

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
So I've heard about adding brown or either white sugar to a honey jar which I think is a good idea but I was wondering would it be a bad idea to add brown sugar and vanilla extract to a honey jar to make things a bit more sweeter?

Adding sugar to honey.... That's just a bit redundant. Adding Vanilla beans is nice as it is a herb of sweet love.
Now you can make a sweet jar with just white or brown sugar, that's a fine way of working, but mixing sugar and honey is just plain silly, lol, as tho the archetypal sweetener was not sweet enough,

And don't use vanilla extract - if you want to add vanilla get a vanilla bean.

so this was just something i was thinking about today and wanted to know what you guys thought about it. when working the jar which matching personal concerns, would the effect that i'm feeling from the jar be the same that the other person is feeling? or do you think one person would feel it stronger or sooner than the other? just kinda curious what other people's experience was
Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Ok. Yesterday was my 1st day on my 1st honey jar ever.
It was homemade sinc I am waiting to gt mine from LM. But does this sound like a good start off? I only hav one eyebrow of his so added one of mine. Is this too little of a personal concern? Pic of me and him facing each other w names and dob. 2 red rose petals cumin seeds, Rosemary dried, cinnimon stick, cloves (but couldn't gt a hold of red) and my petition paper w our names crisscrossed w requestcircled. I also added oils of come to me and love me to the paper and candle. Different company but it's wat I had on hand. ( and I know this forum doesn't comment on other products but like I sd waiting for my LM stuff:). ). It. Was a pink bday candle. Trying to find red ones also. It burned w a little of a high flame and no residue except the little wax I melted to keep it in place. Oh and this is to gt us tlkn again and gt him to come bak. I hav clarity work being done for him right now. So any constructive comments or suggestions? I pray and have faith this will help.

Actually adding sugar in a honey jar is quite traditional. Far from being redundant I've seen old school workers do it in the case of children by using sugar cubes in addition to the honey. Each sugar cube is named for a child then along with herbs and a petition placed in a honey jar.

Well that's a new one on me! I like the idea of naming a sugar cube for someone in a spell tho. The post I responded to seemed to imply they were simply mixing sugar into honey, which I personally have never heard of being done, and to me seems, well, redundant, but it is not as tho I know everything, lol. Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Hi,
I would like to start a honey jar for my teenage boy. He's a typical teenager I guess and I do allow for his 'raging hormones' but I would like him to be more respectful to his family and a little less 'attitude' would be good. I'm also thinking I would like it to be ongoing to help him with his exams next year too. My question is what herbs would be appropriate to add to the jar and would some licorice root help me to gain a little more control over him?...in a nice way! I have read Devi's advice on spraying some peace water and burning peace candles with his name engraved on the candle...excellent idea and I intend to start this asap. Any suggestions would be great, thankyou in advance.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Start with the Peaceful Home honey jar, and you may wish to add a little bloodroot which helps strengthen respect for blood ties. Add him and everyone in the family there together.
You'll want to work the academic success work separately. If you want to go the honey jar route, then you can use the King Solomon Wisdom honey jar with him.
You could also work a Crown of Success spell kit for him, as a very strong complement to the honey jar work.
You can find all the honey jar kits here: http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatspells.html#honeyjar
The Crown of Success spell kit is found here: http://www.luckymojo.com/spell-crown-of-success.html
Bloodroot is found here: http://www.herb-magic.com/blood-root.html

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
i hope im not out of line asking this , but since i will be putting in an order with LM to make a Lust Honey Jar , why not try and make my own money honey jar with LM products ? im so very new to this but i seem to do well in results with honey jars.this will be with the intention of bringing in more customers and students to me and any money the spirits can bless me with . aside from the jar and honey, i have
LM money drawing oil
green 4" candles
LM Money Stay with me Incense
a small pouch of magnetic sand
cinnamon sticks.
i bring up the magnetic sand because a lodestone feels right to put in it
what else should be added? loose change, perhaps a dollar bill? and what are the best days to burn the candles for this ? im doing all the research i can , but like many newcomers, i dont want to mess this up. and with the money i save up, i can purchase miss cat's book and hopefully take the course soon

Hi reiki79,
definitely get Miss Cat's ''Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic'' which is a reference guide ''par excellence''. It has a wealth of excessively well-written information with spells and anectodes aplenty.
In the honey jar itself, I wouldn't add the incense, but I would burn some every time you burn a candle on the jar. Cinnamon is good, other herbs and curios to consider:
-alfalfa
-nutmeg
-irish moss
-pyrite
-chamomile
-john the conqueror root
-a chunk of dragon's blood resin
You can read about each by selecting them from the LM catalogue!
Blessings and best of luck.

Is it okay to use 6 inch candles/holder for a honey jar or does it just depend on the size of the honey jar. I'm asking because I notice that the honey jar spell kits call for the 4 inch candles/holder.

I have never noticed any major difference, so I would say it was perfectly allright to use 6 inch ones.

You can definitely add money
A 2$ bill and/or a coin of every denomination would be good. A little attraction powder's OK too, or the oil if you prefer: it's a fantastic blend.

I would also include Angelica and Motherwort in your Peaceful Home work.
Hope this helps,

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
I just started a honey jar on a man I am dating, and my name is crossed over his on the name paper -- now strangely enough I think it's affecting me! I just noticed this am that I have been really nice to my boss--which is not unusual but I can get a little snarky with him and I haven't been.. is this possible??? Does that mean my target is feeling it as well?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Hey All,
I recently started doing a honey jar spell on my boyfriend this week. He has been complaining to me that lately he keeps waking up in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. I asked him when did these sleep problems occur and he said it started this week (the same time i started the honey jar spell). Could this be a sign? Also, if it is a sign, what could it mean? Is it negative or positive sign? I appreciate your feed back

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
The issue is what type of honey jar did you prepare. If it is to make him sweet on you, that would be the opposite effect of what you are getting. I would get a reading if that's the case. http://www.readersandrootworkers.org

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
when first honey jar is complete for a specific purpose and I'm ready to start a new one, how to I dispose of the first one or should I not dispose of it? also what effect would putting a honey jar in the microwave or a pot with hot water have? lastly I keep dreaming of a red apple on top of a honey jar how could I incorporate this to my next working? I read the honey jar spells page but all it said about apples was that you can use it as a substitute for the jar itself. anyway I can just include it in the jar or maybe on top? suggestions please. blessings thank you

Hi Luckylulu,
most of your questions are answered in the following thread (which I encourage you to read through since it has much usefull information):
honey-sugar-sweet-jar-questions-and-answers-t5536.html
that said, in response to your questions (from my own limited knowledge base keep in mind):
1- ''when first honey jar is complete for a specific purpose and I'm ready to start a new one, how to I dispose of the first one or should I not dispose of it?''
disposal by burial is common. Since the effects of a honey jar one usually wants to keep close, back/front yards are common, houseplants as well. You can read about the disposal of ritual remains thanks to Miss Cat here: http://www.luckymojo.com/layingtricks.html
2 - ''also what effect would putting a honey jar in the microwave or a pot with hot water have?''
now why would you do that? if you want to ''heat things up'', add ginger to your honey jar, change the condition oils you work your jar with and/or work it more regularly, don't boil it
3 - ''lastly I keep dreaming of a red apple on top of a honey jar how could I incorporate this to my next working? I read the honey jar spells page but all it said about apples was that you can use it as a substitute for the jar itself. anyway I can just include it in the jar or maybe on top?''
You answered the question yourself: I think that you may want to consider using it as a substitute for the jar itself. Try it out and see how it works result-wise.
Blessings and best of luck.

Make a hole in the apple and put a candle in it. Then place it on top of the honey jar.
Mircowaving a honey jar with a metal lid is probably not a good idea.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Hi everyone.. I was wondering if it is better to light a candle on the honey jar when you know your target is awake. Does it work more effectively that way or does the timing of when you light the candle doesn't matter?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
It does not matter a great deal what time you light it unless you are working with astrological timings or are trying to talk to them while you are lighting the candle. Some people are more receptive when they sleep, so if you are aiming at something like that to boost effect you should choose a time when you know for sure they are sleeping. I have found most spells to be slightly more effective if worked at dawn. Perhaps because people usually are a bit confused and receptive when they just woke up.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
Thank you for clarifying Dr. Johannes.
I had one more question.. Is it recommended to light a candle on the honey jar daily in odd nos.? for example.. light a candle daily for 1 week, 3 weeks or 5 weeks and then cut it down to MWF. Or does it not matter if someone burns candle on the honey jar daily for 2 weeks, or 4 weeks and then cuts it down to MWF.
Thank you!

I just work it daily until I'm getting the movement I want, and then I drop down to a maintenance schedule of lighting.

Re: How to Use Honey, Sugar, and Sweet Jars Questions and Answers
You can split the candle in odd numbers by inserting small pins. Burn it down one nail each day. Then wait for one day. Then put another candle perhaps of a different colour depending on movement and results - like; White for beginning, then pink for romance, then red for carnal completion, then blue for "Stay With Me". If you are not used to working conjure, I suggest you go bu odd numbers. Once you got the gift on the move you adapt to what your gift tells you would be best in each case.artsie wrote:Thank you for clarifying Dr. Johannes.

The pins can be used as well. Inserting them in the foot tracks, pinning them in the targets clothes or into the ground where they will pass by etc.

artsie -- i have never heard of the need to burn the candle for "odd nos" of weeks. People make up the craziest "rule." The custom in conjure is to burn the candle daily for one week, then every M, W, and F. Or to just start wiht M, W, and F. Either way. People try to make these nutty commnandments to complicate things. We don;t work that way and i for one find it silly and will say so.
luckylulu -- As for the red apple -- that brings luck and love. Johannes recommends to use the apple as a candle-holder. There is another way to do this in which the apple is hollowed out and filled with honey and a potted plant is planted on it You can read about how red apples and red onions are used for luck in container spells in my book Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic.
