The AIRR Tech Team put their altars in order today to manifest The Magician -- the second in our series of 22 informative web pages on the Tarot Trumps or Major Arcana. Devised for game-play long before it acquired use in fortune-telling, and featuring other names such as "The Juggler" and "The Mountebank," this tarot card points both to esoteric principles of spiritual correspondence ("As Above, So Below") and to the way in which root doctors give their client encouragement to try spell-craft and magic. Catherine Yronwode wrote the page with contributions by Papa Newt and Nagasiva Yronwode. The card image is by Pamela Colman Smith.
