Hello all,

My roommate is a good friend of mine, but she goes through periods of being very distant and uncommunicative (and even cold) because of stress - but, she'll almost never say what's bothering her and she's very resistant to help or any kind of communication, so it's difficult to help her. Normally I just give her space when this happens and she eventually comes around, but my mom and one of my cats passed away recently and so I'm grieving. While she supported me very well initially, now she hardly talks to me at all. She just stays locked up in her room and any words we share feel like words between strangers. I respect her need for space, and I understand that whatever life circumstances surround her, she feels overwhelmed, and that she's not obligated to talk to me or even support me in my grief. I understand if those are the boundaries that she makes, and I also know it can be difficult and awkward to support someone during grief. I also acknowledge that her behavior isn't personal. But, I really do miss her, and want her support. It feels like a stab in the heart to lose my mother, who was always a good source of emotional support, and then turn around to have another loved one close to home (literally) withdraw from my life. When she's in a good mood, she's done so much for me and I try to return the favor as much as I can even if she rarely divulges what she's struggling with. I know someone may ask if she goes to therapy or to a psychiatrist, and no to both. She knows that she should go get help, but she keeps finding excuses so I think she's afraid to open up that much.

I have a sweet jar that I made for the two of us a couple of years ago, so I'm good on the sweetening front. What else can I do to have us talking and hanging out again like before?

Hi all. I have been struggling internally for a while. These days I have next to no social life much less friends my own age. I feel like all I do is stay career-focused, work, and I am a loner on my days off. The few long-term friends I have are also like me, career-driven, and I barely see them. In the past I had a much better social life and friends who I could go out with often. I miss it and it's starting to make me depressed. I am young and should not be in this situation yet I find it hard to meet new people.

I work for a prestigious company on the night shift. In turn, because my team works a unique schedule, many have become friends outside of work. Everyone likes me, jokes with me, etc yet I don't get invited to things outside of work. There is this one group of guys who have this get together every month. I get along with all of them and talk to some of them a lot. One of them in particular has taken a strong liking to me, talks to me a lot, we order out together, and he tells me all about his life. This past week he told me he was having everyone over to his house, had to cook, all this stuff hyping it up yet never actually invited me. I also feel weird inviting myself. I feel like saying "oh that sounds fun I want to come" or "can I come" sounds so pathetic, needy, and it could be awkward if I am not wanted. Anyway, is there a spell I can do to attract new friendships, including hanging out with some of these people outside of work?

I used to have a "friend" like that too, and after a while it became obvious that i was being told about dinners at her house, dinners out with all the others, and even special social trips they all took together, and i was still never invited and i felt worse and worse. So i know how depressing that can be.

Anyway, we want to get you on the road to popularity and fun. I recommend that you add a little Look Me Over Oil, Attraction Oil and Clove Oil to your regular perfume or cologne. On Wednesdays (the day of Mercury and communication), as you are getting dressed, prepare for work by lighting an orange tea light, dressing it with that same oil blend, and praying for open roads to more friendships.

I would make a honey jar describing the friends you are seeking. Add to the jar Clover for friendship, Deer's Tongue Herb for them to speak, and other herbs that fit with your needs, such as Sage for wise friends, or Five Finger Grass to help your efforts find friends.

Burn a white candle on the jar every Mon-Wed-Fri, and dress it with Attraction oil.

When doing work like this, it is important that you also get out and do the mundane work as well, such as going to social events, go to a place where people are meeting, like a library or an event.

You can do a jar such as the one you describe and then work with an AIRR member or MISC to have candles burned that support the work you are doing, this is called backing up your work, when a church or worker set candles for the same intention, to keep the energy going.

I would certainly suggest working a jar and putting your effort into it, while also going out into the community and joining groups, attending social events, and meeting people.

If you start the work during a waxing moon you can continue it during a wane moon as well.

Another option is that people reverse the petition when working with opposite moons, such as during a waxing moon to draw a person, and a waning moon to eliminate the barriers that prevent them from coming to you.

A Honey Jar on specific people that you wish to sweeten unto you and to continue the work is a strong working. It will sweeten them to you and encourage the relationships.

5. Herbs last until they lose their fragrance, and that depends on how you store them. Cook, airtight, and dark storage is best.. Regarding mojo hands -- in my experience, a triple-strength is considered to be more powerful than a regular mojo in that it has more ingredients (and sometimes more costly ingredients).

I would write one over-arching petition and fold it around multiple small strips of paper with individual names on the slips. It would take up less volume that way.

Magnet Oil is an excellent choice to draw people to you, as are Attraction Oil, Lodestone Oil, and Look Me Over oil. You can blend them. See
