Hi JayDee! Thanks so much for such a prompt reply! Ok, will do!! Also, great question. I forgot because I'm a super busy entrepreneur and ran a bit out of time that day due to some unexpected opportunities that came up. I was just SUPER focused on getting the names on the paper correct, reading the tips on the Lucky Mojo page about Honey Jars, and adding the special oils I had, and making sure I got myself in the right mindset. The photos were actually parenthetical, in my mind. Then the next day, it hit me that I had forgotten them and wouldn't mind adding them but that it wasn't a disaster if I didn't because it's more about what I feel when I do this rather than a paper with an image. Better time management is something that I am working on each day. :-) Some days are more successful than others. But maybe I've answered my own question here too as you've made me think... Thank you!

NYStarchild ,

As a practitioner I read that you forgot them as a sign of distraction, energy is unfocused or some other reason to the work. Going back and correcting it is what I would do as well. Now pay attention to those individuals and add extra energy and focuses to show you are serious and focused on your goal like a laser.

Hello,

I made a sweetening jar for my ex and I just realized that I forgot to put personal concerns in it. I do have some hair of his from a pair of underwear, he is bald and grows almost no other hair on his body.

The jar contains:
Organic honey
Lavender
Rose buds
A happy picture of us together
A petition to sweeten him to me.

I put the folded petition inside the folded picture.

Should I open the jar and try to add personal concerns to the petition?

Inanna in Diaspora,

Yes, you should -- but also take into consideration that when you leave out an important part of a traditional spell such as this, it may be that either

• you are not yet sufficiently connected to the tradition to understand the root and basis of the work,
or
• you may know the basis of the work but lack focus on your work.

The fact that you ask this question points to the first alternative -- being new at this and not sure of the tradition. So, in addition to answering your question with a "yes," i am also going to suggest that you buy this simple, fact-packed book -- in which your question and dozens of others are answered in detail, and you will receive 100 spells you can do yourself:

Thank you very much for the response! I will order the book shortly.

Do you have any advice on how to open the jar and place the personal concerns? I only have a couple of hairs left but I have his underwear as well as mine that has his semen mixed with my fluids. Can I use a piece of any of these things?

Should I pull out the picture with the paper in it and open both then place the concern in the paper, refold and put it back in the honey or throw out the jar and make a new one?

Inanna in Diaspora,

Making a new paper with the personal concern in it, or unfolding and refolding the original would be superior to wasting a jar of honey.

I already said not to throw out the honey above, and i can say it again a often as you ask. LOL!

Thank you so much!

I opened the jar unfolded the papers, added the concerns, folded it back up and resealed the jar.

I'd noticed that my boyfriend had started pulling away from me and started a honey jar. It has our hairs, a lodestone, violet leaves, deer tongue and daminia. I've been lighting a red candle dressed with menstrual blood and his semen and "love me" oil. The candles all burned quickly and the flames were big and it looked like it was working well. He was starting to come back. However, this morning we had an argument and he broke up with me. But then texted me to tell me that he'll come to the house tonight to talk to me and that I didn't do anything wrong.

What can I do between now and then to help?

Riz18,

Prepare some food or drink with your vaginal juices or menstrual blood plus some of the honey from the jar. Wear a little Love Me Oil. Be prepared to be very conciliating and loving.

The thing is, a honey jar can make someone sweeter, but if the two of you get into arguments, it cannot endlessly repair the conflicts.

I am not your reader, but ask yourself if there is a way to prevent such blow-ups while still being attentive to your own self-resect and your plans for life. He may just be the wrong person for you, or you may have a temper that you need to work on, or alcohol and drugs may be fueling conflicts -- so many things can go wrong.

Hey all,

So I made a very powerful honey jar exactly one year ago on my on/off soulmate of 20 years... who's always in and out of my life. I took a good 2 hours preparing it, put his semen inside it as well as strong love and passion herbs, strong petition, pictures, and honey as well as Rum. As soon as I started the candle on the jar, I got my period that same instant and I took the my fresh blood with my finger and anointed the burning candle with it during ritual. The thing is I got lazy because he always came back anyway so I gave up. After one ritual. The jars still sitting there on my dresser. But now I want to start again but I don't have his semen anymore or a lot of the herbs and things I put inside and we've been fighting on the rocks now for the last 3 months because I befriended his baby mama to get more info on him but really she's interfering between us and uses money and supporting him financially to have him depend on her and still try to be a family together even though they been separated for 6 years now and have a 10 year old Son and she became a lesbian. But she is always in our relations and as long as she knows about us he doesn't want to talk to me or her. But then when he is talking to her he's trying to feel like theyre a family again so hes not alone with his Son, and I'm basically like the lover. She's known him for 20 years as have I, since HS, the difference is they got intimate 10 years into knowing each other and had a kid soon after and their relations have been toxic ever since. I've been intimate with him since the day I met him, it was love at first sight and he was my first love first everything. I know I'm his true soulmate not her, but she got him trapped with a kid 10 years ago and now even if I had a child with him she'll always meddle between us using their kid as an excuse.

My question is can I just start lighting new candles on the old honey jar on him from last year or I need to make a new one? Or maybe start a pink skull candle on him and talk to it for a month before lighting it? To make him only think of me and fall in love with me and obesses over me?

That jar was really well put together and a lot of powerful links were put inside it and a lot of focus was put in it. I'm wondering does the energy inside it still stay or it goes away?
As for the baby mama, her and I are no longer friends as she tried to pretend to be him when texting me to cause problems between us and is a jealous lesbian who still wants power over him and keeps him depending on her financially and thinking she's the only family he can have. He isnt attracted to her in that way but he still wants to feel like they are a "family" even though she betrays him left and right every chance she gets and he is always running back to me whether she likes it or not. so they have this unhealthy attachment to each other even though they know they wont ever get back together. What do I do about them?

Thanks

DaniellaG ,

A honey jar is a container spell in itself, there is a long history of honey and spells for sweetening and love. Many workers, myself included, also add a candle to heat the work up. Because you still have the other jar, intact, I would start working that jar, light a candle on it daily to get it going again, then you can do it Mon- Wed-Fri.

For her, as they do have a baby together, he does have parental responsibilities, but you can limit her, putting her in a freezer spell to freeze her out, using products like stop gossip to stop her talking and slander.

In your case I also think it would be wise to get a nation sack created and tie his nature, you can read more about that here, this is a traditional women's work to control a man.

hi jayDee,

So you dont think if a honey jar hasnt been worked on and just sat there for a year it's useless now?

Also, what do you think about me doing a pink skull candle on him in addition to it to get his mind obsessing over me?

As for her, will freezing her actually stop their toxic attachment to each other?? How do I break their toxic attachment to one another? He has sole custody but she sends him money and uses that as an excuse to basically go over his house and sleep over whenever she wants to see their Son even though it also makes them still spend time together and remain close.

Also, do I put his semen and my fluids together into the nation sack and wear it on me everyday?? Or just his??

She took him to court right now to finally get her own visits with their Son away from him, but knowing them, even with court orders, theyll still basically spend time together when she sees her Son...they cant break away from each other and now she has a 3 year old daughter and doesnt know who the Father is and he basically fell in love with her daughter like its his own even though she's their Sons HALF sister...he is obsessed with her daughter now and acts like now their family is complete, even though they arent IN LOVE anymore...its sick. I need her gone and him to detach from her and her daughter and start a family with me....

DaniellaG,

Nope, that is not tradition, a honey jar can be sealed and worked for years, why? Honey never goes bad, it is an organic item that will last forever. The jar is still workable and completely fine. I would start working it several days with candles to get it going and then keep the work up.

A skull candle to get him to think of you, add Love me oil and follow me boy oil, dress it with some of your vaginal fluids as well.

A freezer jar would freeze her from your life and her influence. Sounds like, based on what you are saying, that a break up spell would be appropriate to break their relationship up, it can be used for love or platonic relationships.

I would also tie his nature and make the nation sack I mentioned in the prior post. Feeding him your period blood hidden in food is also a traditional trick to get a man to follow you and love you.

Hi everyone,

I used to be on the forum as far back as 2008 but life happened so since I can't get access into my old account am using a new one.

I have a question.

I have done different types of work but never a honey jar until a recent order I placed here at Lucky Mojo.

Are honey jars only effective when worked with free standing candles? Can glass vigil candles or tea light candles be used on honey jars?

As for your question --

Vigil lights are way too tall and unstable to set on a honey jar. That's a recipe for disaster.

Tea Lights are okay, but most folks use very small candles, like birthday candles, Hanukkah candles, or 4" altar lights that burn for 20 minutes to 1 ½ hours, depending on their size.

Good luck.

Hello, when I made my honey jar on my relationship, I was not in a good place and was new to hoodoo. I have more experience now and the appropriate candles. Would it be a good idea to replace my honey and do it properly?

Sireanita ,

Honey jars last forever, but you did make a statement about " not in a good place and new", if you doubt the container, I would wash it in running water like a river, then recycle the container and start over. If you feel you are more mentally, emotionally, skilled, then yes I would start over. If however, the container is working, then no need to replace it.

imthefairestofthemall,

That is not traditional at all! Honey is sweet, its virtually sugar, there is no need to add powdered cake mix to the jar. I would opt to light a candle and pray over it while it is dressed in a traditional love oil.

Hello
I've heard that Honey Jars or Sugar Jars can take a long while to get started and once they get started then it's almost forever that it lasts. I've had around 3 Honey Jars from Lucky Mojo, 2 of them were money and the other one was steady work. The first thing that I did when I got them was that I added in tigers iron, jade & aventurine semi precious stones for amplifying the energy more in terms of abundance and a hematite magnet because of the attracting properties and grounding negative energy as they arise but then these things were not in the instructions and things worked out well and still going strong. I recently ordered Devil's Shoe String to add into a Honey Jar that I have built so far to tie down challenges caused by rivals and I ordered Devil's Pod to put at the entrance of the home where I am going to place that Honey Jar. I hope that the Devil's Pod is going to counteract Dark Arts and allow things to run smoothly.

Lovemoore,

This is a common rumor that has circulated the internet, there is no rule that honey jars are slow. I have seen them work very quickly in work. You are correct that they are long lasting work. Honey does not spoil and will last forever.

Why would you add Devil Shoe String to a honey jar? Honey jars are to sweeten a person to you, unless you are trying to sweeten the person you are using the Devil Shoe string on as well. Devil's Pod is used similar to like a gargoyle is used in Europe churches, it scares away evil.

You can learn more about Honey jars from this Lucky Mojo Book.

Hi JayDee

Great to hear from you concerning my recent post and my first post on the Forum. I have gone through the Hoodoo Honey and Sugar Spells Book from Deacon Millett and before that I had made a Sugar Jar that was using Condensed Milk, Maple Syrup & Golden Syrup with Herbs and thought that I was in trouble because maybe the Condensed Milk was going to at some time rot but then it soaked in nicely with the Herbs and sunk right to the bottom and left the top layer dry which was pleasant and worked out very well and even sold a few copies of it to some friends. So in South Africa, it's very interesting how people make Honey Jars because animal fats are added in together with the herbs and they poke a few holes at the top of the Jar because they feel that the Honey Jar needs to breathe and they also add some Black Mamba Fat inside the Jar to tie down danger because some stuff is always going to happen unexpectedly so there must be something in place to buffer it. I just felt that by adding a devil's shoe string to my Honey Jar then I'll only be focusing on using it to tie down challenges because you can doctor herbs individually and allow the other herbs to be doctored together then actually build the Honey Jar thereafter but then I'll post an image once I'm done with mine and I have the devil's shoe string inside.

Lovemoore ,

Thank you for explaining the rationale it makes much more sense now based on the information you provided, and the history of honey jars, and the different preparation that is found in South Africa. You will find honey jars have a nice long history in many cultures from around the world. For this reason, they are one of my favorite workings.

I wanted to share my experience/success with making a honey jar for reconciliation with a former lover.

I made a jar with appropriate reconciliation herbs, petition, etc. I lit candles on it for nearly 6 months, and checked in with some tarot readings. While it seemed there was a deep connection for a period of time, neither reached out to the other. What became clear to me, was that the answer was "NO", but working the jar helped sweeten the bitterness and helped me forgive my former lover.

To respectfully dispose of it, I strained out the herbs and petition packets, and gave them a respectful burial in the back yard. I ate the honey over a period of a week by sweetening my coffee. Today on the full moon, I finished the honey. While my lover did not return to me, this working significantly sweetened my bitterness over the breakup. My heart feels much more healed, and open to love from a new partner. So, despite God's answer of "No" on reunion/reconciliation, within myself, I feel as if forgiveness and reconciliation have occurred. This seems to me a true success in working.

Deacon Millett described the core aspect of reconciliation work as "forgiveness" in his LMCC book "Hoodoo Return and Reconciliation Spells". Hyssop, balm of gilead, and lavender helped me work on the healing and pain from the break up. Thank you to all who have contributed your wisdom and knowledge on sweet works and herbs, both in the book and on this forum.

Hello BellaSolanae,

Thank you for sharing your story and hopefully it can inspire a forum member on how they could approach a honey jar for their own purposes.

Nicely done, and I'm glad you have found peace in your situation.

I've got a sweetening bottle spell that I'm working on someone. It's in an upcycled glass pesto jar about 5-6 inches tall with a metal lid. I burn a dressed and carved candle on it three times a week. My issue is this: every time I burn a candle (a 4" one) I get quite a few wax remnants, including tears down the side of the bottle, on all sides, and wax flows/petals on top. Each subsequent burn I get more. Then sometimes, the candle melts and sucks up all the wax that was left there from previous burns, leaving almost none.

I'm not asking for a free divination, but just to hear from the more experienced practitioners. How much attention do you pay to these candle signs on your bottle spells? Do you do a full candle divination each burn? How do you approach this? Thanks in advance, and I'd appreciate any other resource suggestions.

Hi falz,

In one honey jar I worked, there would be pools of wax on top, and then as wicks accumulated, occasionally a candle would burn into the wicks and pool of wax, and create a long burn clearing off most of the wax. I gave it some significance, as in there was some resistance to the sweet spell by the target, but that with continued working, the target was being sweetened. As you work jars longer term, you will find they can be covered in wax if you use free standing candles and melt them to the lid for burning. Longer term practitioners of sweet jar spells may have more information about what to expect with these workings, as to buildups of wax, etc. I recall Miss cat talking about a years long honey jar that had so much wax on it, she no longer took much notice of it, besides very large signs.

Candle Divination

I find when approaching candles on top of jar spells that it is important to read wax intuitively. It involves relaxing the rational mind, and watching a single burning candle as a set of signs, then considering how the signs from a number of candles make a story of signs.

Depending on the type of sweetening (job/coworkers, court case, love affair, etc), I place more emphasis on my ceromancy for further spell work. If it is a long job, to be worked despite signs of resistance (rotten job environment), its important to keep working. If it is for reconciliation, and the signs are dismal, they are important signs from the spirit world that this road should be considered an impasse, and a different route taken.

Thanks much, guys. I have a copy of The Art of Hoodoo Candle Magic and it's a great resource - will soon be picking up the rest of these books! BellaSolanae, I would be interested to hear more about how you approach ceromancy on long-term bottle jobs like these - when you do encounter signs of resistance, do you typically do more work outside the bottle spell (such as a candle ritual, or foot track work), or possibly change the way you are working the bottle itself (more burns? different candles?) and then watch for changes on subsequent burns? I am beginning to understand that patience and consistency is more key than anything. Thanks again for all your insights.

falz,

Whenever you burn a candle you watch it for signs. You selected the candle, you dressed it with intention, it will give you signs to the work. Of course you need to eliminate outside influences like a blowing wind, over dressed candle etc. The flame, the length of burn, the way the wax melts, images in the wax, are all signs. There are two different thoughts, some just do the work, set it and read it for signs, whether they are good or bad. Others, like myself, work the candle and respond to the burn, such as adapting the flame if its burning low, if bad signs in the wax I would use a divination method of choice to determine what can I do to change this situation, then I would add more spell work based on the outcome of the reading. If its a honey jar and I am getting tears I would see what work I can do, spiritually cleanse, add another candle, or candles around the jar dressed in condition oils relevant to the work, to serve as helper candles, I would pray over it, possibly add figure candles and manipulate them as I burn candles on the jar. I wonderful book, a classic is The Master Book of Candle Burning by Henri Gamache, it discusses the use of candles, moving candles, helper candles, using different oils and Psalms with candles. You can order it from Lucky Mojo, under the book section.

falz,

JayDee described how one adds different types of candle working when you see resistance on a honey jar's candle burns. There's not much to add to his advice.

If you were looking to add different types of working (foot track magic, etc.), I would divine on the results of your burn. Use ceromancy, and then continue with something like cards, throwing bones, etc. to determine next steps.

If you get really stuck, try a reader from AIRR. They are capable of being more objective as outside readers.
http://www.readersandrootworkers.org/

Also, dig around on the forum, both in this incredibly long honey jar spell thread, as well as other sections to explore about various types of divination, etc. There's lots of resources for you to learn and get answers to many questions that others have previously posed, both from practitioners and experts in hoodoo. You can search within each forum topic separately, or the entire forum using the search bars at the top of the screen.

I made a sweetening jar using maple syrup back in September 2021. I have a petition with personal concerns in there. I was wondering is it okay to open the jar and add a second petition in there? The reason I don’t want to remake the jar is because I have strong personal concerns in the current jar and I don’t have any other concerns at the moment cause they got thrown out by someone. So I kinda figured if I use the same jar, but add a second petition at least there is still strong personal concerns inside the jar. If it’s okay to do this, after I add my new/second petition, should I say “as this maple syrup is sweet to me, so will ___ become sweet to me.” Again ?

SugarLoveHoney ,

You can open a honey jar, some workers use the honey in the jar to cook for the person as a method of sweetening them. As for the petition, if the petition is related to the original then yes.

Lucky Mojo carries a great book on Honey Jars that would be an asset to anyone working to sweeten someone in their life.

Is it better to work honey jars every M, W, F or on the days of the week associated with what you want, like Thursdays and Sundays for success for your small business? Thank you!

StellaM,

Yes, you can work a jar on the days that reflect the work you are doing such as business success. Several options exist, Wednesday for communication with customers or merchants, Thursday for luck, Friday traditional pay day is good for money, Sunday for success.

Hello Lucky Mojo Forum! It has been some time since I've posted here and I hope you all are well. :)

I am preparing to do a honey jar for the executive team at my work before I ask them for a raise. However, I am currently on the keto diet, which strictly limits carbs, specifically from sugar. I've always created my sweetening jars with honey, and my impulse is to stick with that, but a spoonful of honey will equal close to my daily limit of carbs. I definitely couldn't take 3 full spoonfuls like one would normal do, as that would knock my body out of ketosis.

I have considered filling the jar with monk fruit sweetener, which has negligible carbs, but it is quite expensive at about $8.50 per lb, so I thought I would ask here first and see if anyone has a better suggestion.

Thank you in advance for your help and ideas!

MissElisia,

I would do the honey jar in the traditional manner, if you cannot eat due to dietary restrictions then dont eat it. Simply say honey as you are sweet to the taste, may also (include what you want sweetened to you) be sweet to me.

MissElisia ,

They have a place in honey jars, used to sweeten a person to you. Some may use Boss Fix for favor of a boss, or Come to me to draw a lover to them, these are all using some form of controlling mechanism. There is even a Spell Kit for and Influence Honey Jar to do exactly what you seek.

Phew…where to start. I will just try to keep it simple. I order the honey jar kit, In the meantime, I prescheduled a call, also in the meantime, I got somethings to do a honey jar (honey, jar, candle, etc). I have my books in the cart ready to purchase, however like a set up intriguing design of dominos, I am waiting for one thing to fall into place before I knock them down. Im not sure if I could wait in my call to proceed because I might need other things to order or not order. I do not have any dressing oil for the candle I purchased and I’m not sure if I need dressing oil or candle to put on top of the honey jar. My the ruins are good with wanting a honey jar and I just want to make sure it is done correctly.
With my honey jar, do I need a candle, dressing oil? Should I but the books first and then do the honey jar so I know more of what I’m doing? If I order the books (they will take a while to get here) what other things do I do in the meantime, or should I just wait until my call (which I’m trying to get rescheduled because of unexpected change)?

Thank you for the feedback.

Frann23 ,

I merged your post with the proper thread on honey jars. Please do not make new topic threads. There is a thread for every topic on the forum already. If you look at the home index pages you can find the topic of interest, or use the search bar at the top right of your screen.

A honey jar is a container spell, it is a spell complete spell, however, many workers, including me add a candle to them to heat up the work. If you ordered a Lucky Mojo Honey Jar Spell Kit it comes with a vile of the oil. My suggestion is to order a few other oils that are related to the work you are doing. If this is for love work, I may order Love Me, Follow Me Boy, Stay with Me. Then use these oils combined on my candles.

Is it best to wait for a reading or to order? That is a personal question, if you know you want the items and will be using them, then order them, you can always place another order. If the reading is today and you feel you can wait then go for it. Should you read the books then do the work? It would be a good idea to do them together so you are learning as you do, hands on application is very effective in learning.

Thank you JayDee
I thought I clicked on the link for the general honey jar questions and answers to post the question. I tried to go back to see if I powered in the right place but couldn’t find the post. I am new here and still learning, my apologies.
My reading is not until next week. I wish it was today. I would be more patient :D I will not get the kit for a few more weeks.
I know I want the items however if the reading is going to tell me something different, it will not be wise for me to invest in something I know is not meant to be.
There are so many ways to do this, from what I’ve read and it’s so confusing of which is right for me.
Thank you again.

Frann23,

Which is right for you, my response to that is there are many ways to cook dinner just as there are many ways to do magic to get a person. Ordering books to learn, working a honey jar to sweeten a person are all typical and suggested workings for clients. I do understand wanting to wait to hear from the AIRR reader on which items are best. You can always call into Hoodoo Psychics for a reading.

My bf of 4 yrs broke up with me out of the blue. He is being very distant and will not come around me, but will only text me a little bit when we communicate. I recently found out he is seeing someone after us being broke up only 3 weeks.

I started a honey jar and I put our pics facing each other stuck them together with a magnet and wrapped the pics in pink yarn. I added the petition, attraction oil, come to me oil, and follow me boy, as well as crown of success. I also added love me and Dixie love powder, I burned a pink candle over it.

I want to know:

Can I open it and add some of his hair?

What prayers would I read daily for it?

Does it sounds like I did it correctly?

Buddy1986 ,

You can open it to add hair. Generally you do not add oil or powder to a honey jar because it makes the honey not edible, there is a long tradition of feeding the honey to the lover via food or beverage. But if you do not intend to do this than it's fine. You should burn a candle on the jar every Mon-Wed-Fri, with a sincere prayer from the heart, its also custom in love work to read Songs of Solomon, I was also taught in reconciliation. work to read Psalms 23 and 32 together. Dress the candle in oil after carving your names in it with a statement such as love me, return to me.

Because he is with a new women, you will also have to do a Break up to end them. Look into the moving candle spell which can be found on this page.

Break Up, about halfway down the page: https://www.luckymojo.com/breakup.html

How can I do a break up spell if I don’t know anything about her. I have no clue who she is. Since I added the oil would I need to start a new one? I have no intentions of feeding it to him.

Also when I burned the candle on it and the waxed melted down it was in the shape of two hearts. So hopefully that is a sign.

Buddy1986,

I will give you links to board topics on Break Up and what to do when you do not know the other party.

No, adding oil and non-edible herbs are ok, if you never eat it or feed it to a lover. Digesting tricked items is a form of magic utilized in hoodoo, such as the book by Lucky Mojo, Hoodoo Food, which is a book of foods used to trick.

Melting hearts is a good sign, you can learn more about candle divination from this Lucky Mojo book, The Art of Hoodoo Candle Magic

When working a honey jar, do I need to bury the candle each time I use it on top of the honey jar? Say on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, do I need to bury the remnants of the candle each time?

Thank you

Hi Angelsmoon,

That depends on the candle you are using. When I burn a candle on a jar, I use a chime or votive that way the wax drips down, encasing the jar. I burn the next on top of the old one, so it is layers of wax. The first candle I light, I pour some wax on the lid, and put the candle in it, so it sticks. If you are using tea lite in the little tins, you can just throw away the tins, or pull the tea lite out and put directly on the jar. If it's a novena, you can recycle the glass. You want to bury the remnants in the yard, that is fine. You don't need to.

Greetings,

I began working a honey jar this past Friday evening. For healing past hurts and to draw my love interest closer by sweetening him more to me. I burn a candle anointed with mercury oil and rolled in deers tongue to foster communication on top of the jar. I already know he is attracted to me, as we are to each other but he needs a nudge. I texted him Sunday morning and got a response from him right away…not just a text but an audio message. He sounded very happy to hear from me and thanked me for sending him a message, telling me to “keep it up”. Now I have noticed that the petition packed has opened up in the honey jar. Is this a problem, in that it will effect my working in a negative way? I feel as long as my intention and focus is there it will be ok, but I just wanted to be sure…should I create a new one?

Thank you much

Angelsmoon,

The natural opening of the petition packet will not effect the work in a negative way at all, this is a normal process that sometimes happens. Some workers tie the petition up in color string matching the purpose, such as pink for love, or red for love/lust. Seems the jar is working based on the feedback, therefore I would not change anything and keep working with it.

Greetings,
I am currently working a honey jar on an love acquaintance who I desire to be friends and eventually have a love relationship with. I have had a root worker read on this person and although they are going through a rough time I was advised I need to be extremely patient as my love interest is very slow because of the turmoil in his life at this time. I was told that it is “written in the stars”. I am wondering is it still okay to keep working my honey jar on him, to keep him favorable and sweet on me until he is ready to communicate and establish a deeper relationship with me? I was working a skull candle as well but I feel it is too much on him so I am just working the honey jar, I have a good feeling about it. My candles are always burning smooth with little residue left. Any advice please? Thank you

Angelsmoon,

You can work a honey jar to continue to sweeten this person to you, this will not overbear on them, or cause some sort of negative outcome. If the person is going through other life experiences that are hard, you can always add candles around the jar to support them, such as a Healing candle or a Blessing candle.

A great book filled with advice such as these are, The Art of Hoodoo Candle Magic and Hoodoo Honey and Sugar Jars.
