I would recommend that you make a doll baby using his personal concerns to represent him, then do Uncrossing work on it. Smoke it in Uncrossing incense while praying, let it sit and gaze upon candles that you've dressed with Uncrossing oil, and sprinkle it with holy water to bathe it. All these can be done long distance and without him knowing.

I just recently spoke with a friend of my mother's who is a rootworker and reader, and she just told us it was a bad idea that we burned all our reversible candles in our house several times. We weren't well-informed and were never told we weren't supposed to burn them inside the house. We feel a strange presence in our home where we feel our energy-drained, lazy, and unpleasant. Is there anything anyone could kindly recommend what to do to cleanse our home to get rid of all that energy that is trap in our home from doing all those reversible candles? Also this past Sunday we did a binding burial, but in our backyard and my brother feels an unpleasant energy in our home more than over. I would really appreciate your help and advice what I can do to bring peace and protection back to my home the way it was before we did all these spells.

I'm moving in to a new place next month. I will do a cleansing and blessing of the home before moving in. Below is what I've planned out.
Please let me know if something is wrong or in the wrong order!

1. Open all windows.
2. Burn sage counterclockwise around the home to remove all negativity.
3. Pinch powders Cast Off Evil and sweep it through the front door.
4. Use chinese wash and add a few drops of Van Van oil to mop the floor.
5. Close all windows and doors.
6. Put Fiery Wall Of Protection and Protection oil in 5 spot patterns on all windows and the front door.
7. Fiery Wall Of Protection/Protection/Van Van candle spell.
8. Peaceful home and House Blessing Candle spell.

Later on after I've moved in, I will make a Love Jar, Peaceful Home & House Blessing Jar to be put in the house as decoration Jars or hidden in the drawers.
I was also thinking of making Fiery Wall Of Protection/Protection sachets with protection herbs, powders and oils to be hung on the windows and in the hallway near the front door to protect the home from all negativity, from all harm and evil, spirits or people.

How does this sound? LOL

Hello everyone,

This is a bit of a two part situation that I need some help with, please.

For over a little over a year now, I have been having a really bad string of bad luck. I have done many cleansings, uncrossing baths, 13 herb baths, cleansing my home, I used Jinx killer products, Uncrossing products, and I even did an egg cleansing. Whenever I do these, it only works for a very little while (one or two days), but the bad luck just rolls right back in. I have done protection work, blessing work and made a protection bottle, right after my cleanings, but my efforts don't seem to keep away the negative energy for too long. It has really been having a bad impact on my life. For example, I've been on many job interviews and can't land a job, even while doing employment/money or Crown of Success work to back it. I was able to get one minimum wage job for a short period of time last month, but a crazy customer came in and triggered a panic attack in me (I have C-PTSD), and my job fired me for the panic attack. It was such an unusual event, it was like this customer had it out specifically for me. There have been other situations where, although things were heavily in my favor, the outcome was always against me. A junior college that I've never even attended just sent me a bill saying that I owe them $208 for an unearned pell grant; Very unnerving.
At the moment, I'm not in the right financial state to afford to have a reading done, so I'm trying to figure out if there's anything else I can do to stop this or figure out what's going on. I can't understand where the source of the negative energy is coming from, or why it keeps coming back immediately after I do a cleansing, and my protection work isn't stopping it.

The second part of my situation has to do with the job that fired me for my C-PTSD panic attack. I want to file a claim against them for wrongful termination and discrimination, but I am afraid that with the luck that I have been having, things wont go in my favor. Perhaps I should wait to get my luck sorted out before I pursue this further? A lot of my spells haven't even been working for the past year, it's like something is blocking them. So I am afraid to even touch any court case products before I get this sorted out.

I just bought a house with a large (4' x 6') mirror in the basement. There is a negative energy surrounding it. How do I dispose of it? I am thinking about cleansing it with salt water and sage, covering it with a cloth, taking outside to sit in the sun. Someone told me to also smash it and bury it in the back yard... I am concerned about smashing it and then putting it in my back yard.

I like your ideas for cleansing the "negative" mirror. I would use Chinese Wash in the salt water, as that is the way i was trained to work. Setting in the sun is good, and also traditional.

I would NOT smash and bury it in my yard, for several reasons.

(1) If it was not spiritually neutralized first, it might contaminate the back yard.

(2) Mechanically, broken glass in your back yard is a hazard and a mess.

(3) If it were spiritually cleaned, it could be re-used or given away intact, which is ecologically a more sound and just solution to the problem. What i mean by this is that if i were to break every dish that had food stuck on it and bury in my back yard, i would not be much of a housekeeper, or much of an earth steward, either.

I was unsure where to post my question so apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I was hoping to get some advice regarding overall self improvement.
I don't like that I sometimes catch myself falling into traps of jealousy or being involved in spreading gossip or wanting "pay back" against people who have been cruel to me. When I do catch myself being negative, I try to perform some cleansing/protection work, but I also want to better myself to be an overall kinder, more considerate person and specifically tackle the nasty parts of me that I don't like.

You should continue to cleanse and even consider doing one weekly. Pray daily asking God to help you with these feelings. You can d a honey jar on yourself to be sweet and kind to other people. Cast off evil is a great product to help break bad habits as well.

I read on a few pages, which gave different info so I'm a bit confused...Some says that when you cleanse the home and smudge with a sage stick you should close the windows and doors. Some places says that you should open the windows and doors while smudging?? What is the right way really? :/ I thought that one had to have the windows and doors open to drive away all the negativity and negative energy?

Different strokes for different folks -- I always leave ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS open!

And i never, Never, NEVER use Sage, which i find disgusting.

I use only resin incenses on charcoal -- Pine resin being my favourite for cleansing, with Francincense, Myrrh, and Dragon's Blood also among my favourites. Sometimes i blend them. If cleansing a room, i may add some herbs, or a prepared powder incense, such as Van Van or Blessing.

I often prefer to cleanse a place by spritzing rather than censing -- i like shaken-up Peace water for this, or, if cleansing as well as blessing, i use a mix of Van Van Oil shaken with water.

There is no one "right" way to suffumigate a space, or to cleans and bless it. and i have never heard anyone say that one way is preferred in spiritual terms. The preferences are personal and practical, in my opinion.

For instance, a person with asthma would be inviting an asthma attack if they foolishly followed some crack-pot "leader" who insisted that people "must" close all the doors and windows and cense with Sage smoke.

Likewise, my way of working, with resin incenses in a censer, carried from room to room, with open windows and doors, is not "harsh" enough for those who favour Sage.

Aren't you glad that folk magic is not a set of game-rules? I sure am!

Just wondering : what's the best way to cleanse a house when there's a ton of crap lying around? I clean and wash, but since my parents (well, mostly my dad) are clutterbugs, no matter what I do, the place still seems kind of oppressive and delapidated. Also, there are a lot of repairs that need to be done to the house, but we have no money to do so... which also affects the energy of the house in a negative way, in my opinion.

Compounding this, I have plantar fasciitis, so being on my feet to clean and cleanse is something that exacerbates the pain! I know for a fact I'm crossed, however, and it hit my family and by extension me, so I absolutely know this place needs to be scrubbed physically and energetically from top to bottom. I've taken some cleansing baths already which has helped a lot, but unless the house and my parents are cleansed, the funk remains and will reinfect me once again.

My parents also have some health problems that would make it a bit more difficult than usual to clean everything and throw/give away crap they don't need anymore. So, I feel like most of that responsibility has fallen to me, which makes me feel more trapped. And with my dad... he just doesn't want to sort through his clutter anyway. I'm not saying he's a legit hoarder, as it could be worse, but he just leaves clutter wherever he goes. My mom doesn't like hoarding, but even I think she has too much stuff she doesn't use.

Anyway, what are some tips to cleanse with these above caveats? The energetic mess is driving me up the wall!

Sage, the herb. has a bright, sharp scent i find pleasant enough to use in cooking and perfumery. Burning Sage releases a scent i find harsh and overpowering. It contains thujones, medically and psychoactively active compounds that affect the central nervous system, and which, in my case, have a negative affect on my breathing and state of mind. Burning Mugwort, Wormwood, Tansy, and Yew wood also contains thujones and has similar effects on me. This is personal and i stated it as such.

Hello everyone I need some help my boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years and he has 5 children from a marriage 2 boys 3 girls. The boys love me however the girls have never been willing to meet me. All of his kids are adults and the parents were divorced for about 13 years before he and I even meet. I'm sorry about all this trouble you're having to go through, especially involving family. If you believe that the daughters and even the ex might be working against you, try sneaking some Uncrossing oil (just a few drops) in your boyfriend's shampoo or body wash to start taking that bad work off of him. For you, take a 13 Herb Bath. And to stop these people from working against you further, you could make a doll baby for each person and then bind their hands and feet, and command them to stop working magic against you and keep them in a dark place. It won't hurt them, it will just keep them from working that harmful magic.

I have a tree on my property that I am very fond of. We had to cut down a sickly tree last year and it was heartbreaking and now after a terrible drought in the summer and flooding the current tree is dying. I have done everything I could think of in the practical sense to save the tree, even getting an arborist to come in to help. Now it is just a waiting game to see if the tree will make it or not. I would like to do a working to help the tree to heal and come back better. I was wondering if anyone had any insight into a working. A common product is Chinese floor wash or ammonia. Then light a candle in each room dressed with house blessing oil. I would also smoke the house with sage, then use house blessing incense.

New Year Reboot/Cleanup- sorry if it's long!!

My problem is that I feel like there have been forces working against me for the last 2-3 years or so... can't get GOOD PAYING steady work, Delays in payments when I do work, people trying to make me work for pennies, literally having to work MULTIPLE part time gigs to make ends meet, and not a single viable guy has asked me out in the last two years. And now I keep feeling like I'm sick- Like really sick- setting a Doctors' Appt and a reading soon. I have felt depleted and have smoked a lot to dull the pain of what I was feeling and trying not to let dark thoughts consume me. I have been working a chain breaker and crystal grids to clear my root and balance out. Things are starting to clear up, some delays have worked out to my benefit: extra discount, but I just want to make sure I can set myself up for an amazing new chapter in my life.

In the process of clearing and cleansing to make room for the new. looking to really transform my life this coming year. in addition to clearing debts (Law stay away), I'm ready to find new passion, and eventually new love. to create steady work and possibly move. I've heard some awesome detailed spells to work on the Hoodoo Radio show- thank you so much!

-Been mostly working with fixed candles- i have found some relief. i think that some of the oils from Botanicas that i have are not the best.

As the new year comes, I really want to set my space up right. I'm re-dedicating an armoire to my spiritual work/supplies, and looking to stock up on some stuff, plus i plan on applying to the Hoodoo course in the winter. I am thinking long term and planning on setting up honey jars for the main areas of my life (kits in my cart now)- finance- find a job that pays me enough to pay off my debts, attract paying customers etc..., law stay away while I clear debt-favourable outcomes no penalties, love, Vibrant health and protection (Gonna make that one up exciting!!), and of course one for working with Spirit or my gifts. As these are positive honey jars, I plan on leaving them on my altar for a long time.

I def will do the Chinese floor wash. But really trying to find suggestions for great spells to work at the TOP of the year... that can sit long term and can be revisited- similar to the honey jar, mojo bags etc... I plan on doing the two skeleton key spell Ms. Cat mentions- bury what you want to leave behind and wear the one you want to keep with you or bring into your life- I feel like that is my homework too.

My next step before I place my next order is to get a reading, so that I can order exactly what I need. I am currently waiting for Bakers dozen books which I'm sure will guide me, but anything I should keep an eye out for- please let me know!!

Well you have some work ahead of you! Glad to see you are taking action to improve your life, it's a good commitment we should have at all times but especially at the dawn of a new year.

Your plan sounds good. Start off with a thorough spiritual cleansing of your home and yourself. For your uncrossing bath, consider the 13 Herbs bath as a good way to rid yourself of any spiritual messes that may be clinging to you. I do that for 13 days and always feel so refreshed afterwards.

Hello All,

So me and my daughters took a spiritual bath last night (together they are two young to do it on their own) and cleaned my home I used 13 herb bath to wash with and Chinese wash to clean with. I used frankincense And myrrh mixed with cast off evil and fear not. I dressed with protection oil after getting out of the table. When I went out side to dispose of the watch I got locked out and therefore didn’t dispose of it until this morning while driving to work. I got out of my car to throw the bath water over my left shoulder and then drove off.

When my tea light candles burned out some of them still had candle wax in them. The ones from the bath and n my room and the cooler rooms in the house is that normal? Or should I read into that?

Now I went back to my house and it smells like cigarettes and I don’t smoke. Is that from the incense?

Also I still feel like my aniexty is fighting me to stay so I’m going to do the bath again two more times.

What do you guys think? I know I’m under attack that’s what my reader says. Besides doing the recommend prayer what else should I pray for while praying?

You were locked out of your house when you went to dispose of your bath water. This may be either spiritual interference or something as mundane as forgetting to unlock your door. It is hard to know without doing a reading.

The wax remains in your tealights is not unusual. You can read them for signs. A good resource for this is a book called The Art of Tea Leaf Reading, available here: http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatdivination.html#books

The signs are similar for candle wax reading.

If your house smelled of smoke, it may be from the incense or it may be another form of spiritual interference. Once again, it is hard for us on the forum to know. Yes, that would be excellent. If it were me, i would heat some water, as for a tea, put the Lemon Grass in it and steep it. I would then remove one cup of the Lemon Grass tea to drink. Then, into the remaining hot Lemon Grass tea, i would add and dissolve the salt and blueing, and, finally add about ten drops of Protection Oil. This mixture i would pour into a full tub of warm bath water. I would light two small white candles dressed with Protection Oil at the head and foot of the bath tub. Sitting in the bath, i would drink the Lemon Grass tea and pray for blessing, cleaning, and protection.

After praying, i would stand up and stroke the water off of my body, downward and outward in "uncrossing" gestures as the water was let to drain from the tub. I would finish by stroking the soles of my feet from heel to toe. Then i would conclude the bath by stepping out backward between the candles.

I placed my order for several items already- The honey pots and a jinx killer 13 day bath. I think only got enough for one day, so I will def. Need to order some more.

I am also looking forward to my copy of Deliverance. Looking forward to clearing any work that hasn't been working for me. Or work that I may have done to get back an ex that isn't meant to be belong to me (old, old). I think that may be part of the reason why I haven't seen any progress in that area.

I was looking over the forum and I didn't see an answer to your question. I have both lived with a parent who was a clutter-bug and also was one myself when dealing with depression. I can offer you this: my own lesson- Start small and stay consistent.

The first things I started to do was remove duplicates, obvious trash, and things she hadn't touched in years, that she wouldn't even miss. If it was broken and could no longer serve it's purpose, it went. I spent a lot of time showing her the alternative. Like clearing an area and putting some nice flowers there so she could see what was possible. Think small improvements for the good. Also think about the projects that they want to accomplish. Can't bake if all baking ingredient are disorganized right? Before long she was asking me for help to go thru her stuff. I would also burn incense or things that smell good and fresh. It's not easy, but it can be done, if you do it gradually.

Lastly, if any of the items are usable- why not list them on let go or have a huge yard sale- the goal to make money for some of the repairs... Try to show them how it can benefit them.

And maybe a honey jar or two, to have them sweeten to your way of thinking... I am going to be creating these for the first time, for myself in a couple of weeks, but I see people recommend them a lot here.

I am pulling myself out of my depressed/crossed state myself and and every time I clear a corner or purge something else, I feel better.

start small, stay consistent.

What I believe miss Cat was saying is put two candles on the corners/edge of the bath that you enter and exit from, or on the floor on the same side. So that when you enter you are walking between the candles, and going between them when you exit. Not only are the candles used as candle spells, but they also represent a doorway.

I don't know that this is the appropriate forum for this discussion and in fact I don't know that there is one. I will try to answer your question however and you can see for yourself why I would not be appropriate here, or so I believe.

So, this is a hard question to answer given that the practice of hoodoo is such a multi-faceted one stemming from European, Jewish, African, Protestant Christian beliefs, and to a lesser degree, Catholic beliefs, the two latter being the traditions of which I am most familiar. This may be a question for our Resident expert, Ms. Cat but I'll try given my knowledge as a practicing Protestant Christian and Folk Catholic.

In most protestant Christian denomination such as the Baptist religion which is where you'll find most of your hoodoo practitioners, salvation is found and granted while here on earth by accepting Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. This is done by giving a verbal confession and believing in your heart that God raised His son Jesus Christ from the grave. In most protestant denominations, in order to receive salvation or "peace" on the other side this would have had to be done while the person was living. Once their salvation had been secured it could not be taken away from them but if they did not confess their sins and accept Jesus as our lord then their soul, according to Christian doctrine, would be condemned to the lake of fire.

It becomes different because there are different schools of thought on this. Some hoodoo practitioners adopt West African religious beliefs like that of ancestor worship; the honoring of those who have come before us. I honestly don't know in African religions or even Native ones that there is a concept of afterlife that can be gauged according to earthly deeds or lifestyle so I can't really be of help there.

Catholicism however subscribes to to the idea that, more or less, you pray for a persons stay in in purgatory to be as brief as possible as they wait for their entrance into heaven, assuming they are granted entrance in the first place.

Furthermore, this topic in and of itself is specifically regarding the cleaning of a home or actual person who may be afflicted a spiritual condition such as jinxing or crossing. I only addressed it here because I'm not sure that we have a forum on this discussion. Feel free to look around however. You might find exactly what you're looking for. My deepest sympathy to you and yours for the lost of your loved one.

I am very sorry for your loss. Dr Darensbourg gave great advise and understanding from multiple religious stands. As a Christian who is Baptist I believe you are saved by Grace and purchased once one accepts Jesus. To pray for the dead is something you see in hoodoo, and working with ancestors is essential for the work. Creating a nice alter in your work area, offering flowers, water, items they liked, items they owned to commune with them will bring them into your life in the spiritual level. To help those in the family I use blessing and healing oil mixed together on white candles to pray over. Jesus makes specific promises for us about those who die in Christ one is we will meet again, other is blessed of those who mourn for they shall be comforted ( by God).

I did some justified crossing on someone’s finances after they ruthlessly crossed me. However they have finally righted the wrong - well enough of it for me to let them be. How can I cleanse this person while being ABSOLUTELY certain that nooooo negativity will come back to me as it lifts off of them. I do not have physical contact. It would have to be by a doll or using a candle.

Would uncrossing oil on a candle be able to simply remove the negativity without reversing any of the energy onto me?

Karma is not part of hoodoo, there is no rule of 3. Cleansing someone does not send it back, unless of course you ask it to. There is no absolutely no chance of anything in life unfortunately. You would destroy the item used to put the curse on them, you would ask God to end the curse in their life. You can cleanse them with a spiritual bath with a doll or candle to remove it. Then you will bath yourself in hyssop praying psalms 51 to remove sin, dress your body with protection oil and cleanse your house.

I have been reading a few threads and had an idea about mixing blessing oil with adam and eve oil and then using a pink candle to bring in a new unknown love partner. I may add some heating herbs to give it a little bit of spice.

The petition is; [name] is blessed by Yahweh with a happy, healthy, stable, passionate and romantic relationship that fulfills [name] physically, emotionally and sexually.

I had a look at the general petition on the LM website and felt it was too general covering many areas of life so decided to narrow it down towards a specific blessing.

Do you think it is a good idea to mix other oils tailored towards a specific goal such as wealth, love, job with the blessing oil like described above with a petition? Or should the blessing oil be used by itself only with the petition?

It's worth a try, as a wonderfully fulfilling romance is a blessing in life. I would leave out the Healing, as you'd be over-complicating matters. It's best to stay as focused as you can in one spell.

Hello I do know if you have already d this question but when cleansing a home do you cleanse event room? Can you carry negative energy from a childhood trauma? And I was going to make a wash to clean my floors and wall with baking soda, white vinegar, sea salt, lemon juice and John the conqueror root is that too much?

Floor washes are used to clear out negativity and then you replace it with the energy you want. I like pine scented cleaners or verbena, hence I love Lucky Mojo Chinese floor wash. Wash top to bottom back to front. Watch what you wash with and make sure it will not ruin paint or hard surfaces. Then light a white candle in each room after its done and dress it with an oil such as special oil number 20, peaceful home, fiery wall of protection, protection, van van. Pray and recite psalms as you do this. A spiritual bath is normally taken before you cleanse the house then the cleaning of the home.

How does one cleanse the home when there is a lot of clutter from family members, and you don't feel right to throw it all out or even organize it? I wouldn't feel right about it because it's my parents' clutter, and so it's a very different dynamic than, say, if I had children, and I cleaned up their clutter. I can offer to organize the clutter, but my parents always say "Later, because I want to go through it first." And then it never comes. There's a lot of dingy miasma in the house because of clutter and because of how nearly everything in the house needs to be repaired or replaced and we just haven't been able to afford it for years.

I've cleansed the house with lots of purifying herbs, van van oil, have burned purifying herbs and resins, and I physically clean the house all the time. But, there's still heaviness from the excess stuff and mess around, and it's so much work to clean the clutter and under it. I'm the only one in the house who cleans a lot, and I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle because I can never get to everywhere without fighting the space and exhausting myself.

What can I do in this scenario?

Hi QueenScorpio,

What you've described is creating a carpet freshener, it is not a traditional hoodoo method for spiritually cleansing a home (which was your original question).

For carpeting, you can lightly wet a broom's bristles in the diluted Chinese Wash and sweep it over your carpet.
