I was going to do a cleansing bath using, bay leaves, basil and mint and I wanted to know would I dispose the water the same way i would if I was doing a 13 day bath, also when disposing the water is it ok to just scoop a cup full to dispose it and let the rest go down the drain? and lastly how would i use bay leaves in my home for protection?

Hello neka83,

Yes, you would dispose of the water ritually, and if you're doing a cleansing bath, you'd want to take a cupful of the water to the crossroads. Yes, you can take a scoop and let the rest go down the drain.

Hi everyone,

I am sorry if this is not the right thread for this question. If it's not, moderators, please move to where it belongs. Thanks.

I know that karma is not taken into consideration in hoodoo but for lack of a better word, I will use it.

Last year I met a guy and we became friends. He liked me and I liked him. When I met him, I didn't know he had a girlfriend but eventually, I found out. Instead of walking away from him or stopping my feelings, I got more emotionally involved with him (to this day we have never dated). His gf broke up with him three months after we met and moved on quickly.

As I said above, we have never dated, even though he was now "free". There could be many reasons why this is the case, I know that, but I wonder if one of those things could be some kind of "karma" for not stopping the feelings and the intentions when I should. I would like to "cleanse this karma" in case this may help our friendship/potential-future-love-relationship.

I get that this may not be the cause why we have never dated but, like someone told me once, only good things can come from cleansing/healing spells, right? So what type of spell could I use for this?

This sounds like very sage advice across the board. I have moments of extreme guilt and self-recrimination at times as well, whether or not I actually deserve it. The feeling can pop up without warning nearly crippling me in my ability to see beyond my own worst moments. These are good notes for me to try as well. Thank you.

Thanks for your advice. These baths were exactly what I had in mind; it makes me happy to know that I am learning about hoodoo more and more every day.

To be honest here, I didn't feel guilty about his gf leaving. It had nothing to do with me (it was her family who got involved). I just mentioned to make the point that they weren't together any more. But I did feel guilty about getting involved with a guy who had a girlfriend and thought that maybe, just maybe, us not getting together was some kind of "punishment".

I will get on to the baths!

Hi,

I don't know what's going on.

A few months ago everything was going great. I was in a PhD, things at my job were great, but my writing (I'm a fiction writer on the side) was not going anywhere.

So I did a blockbuster candle in order to help bust through any blockages so I could write. Well, I think that was a bad move.

Since then -
I dropped out of my Phd since it didn't turn out to be what I wanted, and I'm still heart broken over that.
Things are my job are going insane, and I'm worried about job security.

The only good thing is I am pregnant. So there's that. 13 weeks today.

So here's my question -

What can I do in order to make things at my job better? I really need this job for the next few years.
Anything else you recommend for prosperity to help my writing?
Anything you recommend so I can get back into a Phd that's right for me?

Finally, I can't do any cleansing baths because I am pregnant and am fearful of chemicals. I've been told, for example, that hyssop can induce miscarriage so to be safe I'm staying away from baths.

Hello all,

I hope I'm posting in the right place and this isn't too long and rambling!

I would like some advice about how to approach healing for my mother, who is 75. The background is she moved out of her rented house and into a warden-controlled apartment complex for the elderly about three years ago. Not long after moving there she broke her foot which seriously limited her mobility as the bone has grown back with a bump and made walking painful. Because of this she stopped going out, except for a grocery shopping trip once a week, which made her condition worse and she spent most of her time sat watching television. To add to the problem she has had long-term nausea, now exacerbated by a hiatus hernia, which makes her feel extremely ill first thing in the morning. This has been going on for years, but has got worse in the past year or so, to the point where she was spending all day in bed and calling me to drive down to see her most days. She also has epilepsy, and is terrified of having a fit as it makes her feel incredibly ill.

Things came to a head back in October of last year when she expressed a desire to go into a care home as she couldn't cope by herself. We can't afford to send her to a private home, and the NHS refused to pay for her care, as they assessed her needs as "low". They did however get her a carer service which meant a carer would see her about four times a day, get her up, washed and make sure she ate. This seriously depressed her, she refused to cooperate with the carers, and after a couple of weeks she tried to kill herself by taking an overdose. She was hospitalised and after discussing things with my husband, we agreed that she could come to live with us permanently.

Unfortunately things haven't improved and she still feels very sick in the mornings and now has a lot of lower back pain whenever she gets out of bed or out of her chair. She can walk, and has good days, but they are outnumbered by the bad, and she cries a lot, saying she's ruining my life and being a burden. She has medication for the sickness, a mild antidepressant for her mood, we try to give her a diet that doesn't irritate her hernia, and her new doctor is trying to locate the problem with her back pain. However she doesn't help herself in any way and has sunk into a cycle of self-pity, wishing she would die and just wants to sleep the rest of her life away, which could be a another 20 years or so. She's not a religious person, has no hobbies, no desire to make friends and is just existing. Any suggestion of her seeing a pastor or counsellor is rejected. I don't doubt that she is sick, I can actually smell the illness on her, but it seems as if she is determined to be unwell and does nothing at all to help herself, even something as simple as sitting up as not to aggravate her hernia. Her back pain is made better by exercising but she won't do that either.

As we're doing as much practical work as possible to get her well and lift her spirits I wondered what the best course of action would be for magical work. While she thinks it's weird, she has said she would be open to me doing some healing work for her, so I don't have to be secretive about it. I am thinking around Healing for her physical condition and Blessing for her mental health, possibly washing her room down with something purifying like Florida Water or Van Van. I've asked for prayers on Crystal Silence and have received confirmations of being prayed for, but I feel this work needs to have a lot of strength behind it. I have no definite plan however and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. I hope all is well. I am very new here and am an pretty unfamiliar with everything and am looking forward to learning more. I wanted to first ask for help with two major things. I would like to learn how to remove any curses that may be on me and I want to know how hoodoo or conjure can help make you better person. I've believed in God and higher powers all my life and for the past few years, I've felt the pull to explore more with spirituality. Sometime later, I was led to the saints. I've even I had a couple interesting readings. The first time, the devil card came up and the second time the reader mentioned something about snakes. I was told during the second time I have curses (the reader used the word block) involving love, luck, mental health or success on me and that they should be removed. During both readings it was said that I was supposed to be wealthy in this life which hasn't been the case. I've felt for a while that something, be it jealousy or just bad vibes has affected me negatively. I've felt strongly that I wasn't living up to my full potential. I just want to start over fresh and clean and to accomplish good in this world, for both myself and others, not just physically but spiritually too. I want to have more love for people the way I used to when I was younger. I have no interest in cursing whoever the bad intentions came from I just want mutual forgiveness, reconciliation and peace. For the past few weeks I've felt strongly that I should clean up my living space, unhex or uncross or free myself and take a spiritual bath involving white and white clothes. What a lovely idea! Climate change is a very real problem and everything that can be done to help should be done.

For your goal, I would work with candles on an ongoing basis. You can print out a photo of the planet and write your petition across it (choose the words that feel right to you) and place that beneath a white Crucifix candle. Dress it in a combination of Healing, Blessing and Tranquility oils (this combination of scents is divine) and pray over it.

I'm not sure where to post this, and I'm not feeling so great at the moment so I might not have looked as thoroughly as I could have. This did seem like the best place for this.

At any rate, I have a friend who did a reading on someone they know and found out that individual had been attacked by a malevolent spirit and has been damaged as a result.

As far as I'm aware, this person hasn't been doing even basic cleansing and protection for themselves even though they are sensitive. They've been winging it their whole life while helping their loved ones. That plus the attack has taken a toll on their mental, physical and spiritual health.

So my friend asked me what could be done to help this person.

Thing is, I don't know if she needs something specific because of the type of attack she had and I don't know what type of healing she may need to do or if she needs a specific type of protection.

Most of the research I've done on Hoodoo has been based on my immediate needs. I've never dealt with something like this and like I said, I'm not feeling so great myself at the moment, so I may be overthinking some things.

I'd really appreciate some help, even just pointing me in the right direction to do some more research. As always, thanks for your time.

I'm getting ready to buy the things needed for a House Blessing Spell but I'd like some additional opinions or thoughts for the proper disposal of the ritual remains.

I had thought at first to put them in salt and then keep them in the four corners of the apartment and at the door. But then I thought that salt is often used to bind or lock something. So should I instead collect soil from the apartment complex property and use that instead? And what are some of your thoughts on also collecting soil from parks, etc. where we enjoy going as a family.

Additionally, I'm considering adding the pets in the list of family/household members since one of the cats is having trouble adjusting to apartment life.

My apologies if this has already been covered, I paged through but couldn't find anything quite so clearly about this and a search didn't turn up anything either.

I apologize as I am not familiar with this particular spell but it sounds like you are meant to keep the remains in your home, correct? If so, go with the soil approach, from your apartment complex. You could incorporate some from the park as well, but best to stick to what comes from your own property.

Yes, including your pets in the spell is a lovely thing to do. They are family as well, after all!

I love the idea of printing out a picture of the earth like what Miss Athena suggested to someone on here and using it to heal similar problems like terrible weather conditions(Hurricanes, Tornadoes, etc.). What I am interested in doing that is similar is printing out a picture of both the Earth and of the USA(Where I live) to use in doing healing and peace work to heal all kinds of issues that goes on in the world such as violence, sexism, homophobia, racism, terrorism, tensions between countries and of course weather, global and atmosphere problems like global warming and things like that. Hi all! I hope this doesn't get lost in the thread.

I'm new to bathing with washes. I've done the standard few before spell kits, but whenever 'dosing' (?) myself, I've always preferred oils and powders. Simpler, it seemed. But, now, I have an event coming up in a few weeks, and I was hoping I could get some advice. I'd like to bless myself. That's the best way I can think to describe what I'd like to do.

I'd like to draw attention -not romantically, however. Just attention. I'm seeking a job in which standing out is the best option (it's a field in which people are basically screaming 'look at me! My project's the best!) and I had some luck weeks ago with smaller version of the Blockbuster spell to clear the way, but now I'd simply like to catch and maintain the attention I've received, and intensify it if possible. I'd like to be -for lack of a better term- a beacon that draws people in.

Now, I have cleansing baths and oils, as well as drawing baths, oils and powders, but as I said before, I'm not certain how to employ the washes. I'd like to do this in stages leading up to the event, so any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello all,

I moved into my new house here in December and I love it. The only thing is I at times have been feeling like maybe there is other presence there (could be good I do not know) and then today while at work around 4pm my motion alarm tripped and I checked my camera stills and there was no one in the cameras. My alarm company also called me and the police were sent to do a premise check but they called and told me that no windows or doors on the ground level had been compromised so it seemed secure. I am waiting on an order that contains Chinese Wash, Fiery Wall Oil, and Holy Oil amongst other things. While I am waiting on that I do have LM fiery wall bath on hand and I also have ammonia, pinesol, kosher salt, and Epsom salt. I can bath my daughter and I in the fiery wall bath but what can I put together to cleanse my house in the meantime? I know pinesol and ammonia have been apart of hoodoo dating far back. How would I use them in a cleansing of my home? Thank you!

Just found out today that Pine Sol removed pine oil as an ingredient in 2016 because of cost and difficulty of procuring pine oil. Supposedly you can still by an "original" version of Pine Sol online that contains 8% pine oil. But if you're buying Pine Sol in a store, it does not contain pine.

Can someone help me please! I am going through some serious sh-t with a co -worker who has been doing work on me for a year so I can leave my job. Now because I've been protecting myself she has done work on my co workers where they won't even look at me. how do I even cleanse my office space or even them???

Hi everyone, i did a mirror box spell a while ago, which included goofer dust, crossing oils etc. then i kept this box in a cupboard under the stairs and forgot about it. in fact so much so, that i used the cupboard also for storage for some clothing! now i am worried (probably being silly..) that these clothes are somehow affected by being close to such a negative source of energy...do you have any advice? shall i do a protection wash? shall i throw them away? and what do i do with long term negative spells such as the mirror box? many thanks...

If you are worried about the clothes, you could always make up a batch of 13 Herb Bath tea, and add it to the clothes' rinsewater in the washing machine. Then call it good. And you should really bury that mirror box in a graveyard and get it out of your house!

Hi Sister Jean, many thanks for your reply, that sounds like a very doable solution! Just to know for future spells, given the mirror box is an on going spell and i want it to last, is it ok to bury in a graveyard? Would you say that applies to "indefinitely on-going negative spells"? Thanks again.

I think this is the right place for this question, I looked through this section and it seemed to be the best place for it. So here goes

I did a spiritual bath on me and my children a few weeks ago, one of which has autism. We all took a bath together (they’re under 6 and under) the reason we all took one together was because they wouldn’t until I got into the tub. I wasn’t able to dispose of it yet. And I also did a crown of success on myself and children (myself in one candle and children in another) my candle didn’t burn through but theirs did and has had good results for one of them. I’ve noticed since I done those spell my autistic child seems different, I’ve always believed that he could see spirits but now it seems like he can hear them and when I looking into his eyes sometimes he doesn’t look like he’s in there.

I’m very concerned, what do I do?

Also I’ve also felt like I’ve been in a fog lately. Not sure if that has anything to do with the spell but I’m young and relatively healthy. Sometimes I notice that I space out more and more. In addition to doing those spells I’ve also pulled out an old honey jar that I haven’t worked in a few months to fix things with an ex. Could that be the cause?

All the work that you're describing sounds very positive and uplifting; I wouldn't attribute any negativity to it. The fact that when you look into your autistic child's eyes and it seems like he's "not there" could be due to the fact that staring into people's eyes is usually uncomfortable for autistic people. And I don't know what to say about the "fog" you're feeling. Have you been to a doctor lately?

I hope this doesn't get buried, but I'd like some help with cleansing another person.

I have an old friend who hasn't been himself lately. He seems more despondent than usual, like something's just weighing him down. I'm sure a few of you know what I mean when you see some kind of cloud hovering over people you care about. Well, I live in another city, so I'm not close by enough to interact physically with him consistently enough, nor do I really want him to know I'm doing it because he's just not into this sort of thing and I don't want him to mentally resist the help.

I'd like to know what any of you can suggest in the ways of cleansing. I don't know if his current girlfriend has done work on him (I haven't personally met her), I don't know if someone else has, or if the issue is just himself, but I'd like to wipe it all away. I just want to help lift some of this off his shoulders.

I do have contact with him on a regular basis and personal concerns of his (hair), so perhaps a petition and seven white candles over seven days? Uncrossing incense? Anything would help. Thank you.
