Sigh...

I wish that folk magic were more inclusive in regards to studies, thus far, the main topics in regards to tricks/spells are love, money and employment. However, I am sure one can take the knowledge you have and construe a trick that would help one succeed in law school.

So, I am curious, is it proper to do a honey jar for success in law school?

I have a good idea in terms of candle color, oils, herbs, etc.
But, in regards to personal concerns....well, this is where I am not sure.
I can take dirt and property of the school. In regards to moi, perchance, hair? Nothing too intimate.

Where I get stuck is with the use of Psalms. I am going to order Selig's book and see if this one is any better than Power of the Psalms.

Another concern is the target. From what I have seen in regards to honey jars, there is always a specific target, whether the person you want to sweeten to you or the judge/anybody involved in the law for court matters.

But for school, the entire target is the school itself. I don't know if this would be too broad.

What do you folks think?

It would be better to do a Crown of Success and/or King Solomon Wisdom spell. If you run into problems with a particular individual, such as a professor or school administrator, that would be the time to do a honey jar.

If you want to do something on going you can just keep lighting crown of success and/or king solomon candles until you graduate. In addition, you might want to get a mojo bag, and dress it as long as you are in school.

The honey jar idea is great too. I would just make a general honey jar that is used to sweeten up the professors. Instead of putting the pictures and/or name papers of the professors inside the jar put them underneath the jar or put them under the candle holder when you burn the candles on top of the jar. That way you can rotate them as your classes change and what not.

Yes for long-term ongoing work I would do a bottle spell of somekind (like the honey jar) and carry a mojo bag. Light 7-day vigil candles during particularly difficult times for extra support. And don't forget to keep up with your cleansing and drawing baths!!

Thank you very much everybody.

I do have a mojo bag already. Am I supposed to dress it with oil every single day? Maybe once a week on Wednesdays? The instructions don't specify and I did a search option but no results are coming out. It says the word mojo is too common.

Starinthesky

I have always perceived that the name paper must be placed inside the honey jar in order for it to work. I am having a hard time with the idea of placing the name papers underneath the honey jar.

By the way, I tend to be great at participating in class. And most importantly, exam grading is anonymous. So, the professors will grade my exams without knowing it was me who wrote it.

I can sweeten them to like me more, maybe it will influence them in terms of grading my written assignments but when it comes to exams, once more, it is anonymous.

And when you say to light crown of success and king Solomon candles, are you referring to lighting the candles by themselves? Maybe dressed with oils and just a petition paper underneath? I like the idea of doing this on Wednesday (communication) or Sunday (success, goals).

Devi

I never thought of 7-day vigil candles. This is a very good idea during exam weeks. Am I supposed to personalize this candle by dressing it with the appropriate oils and with a petition paper underneath the glass candle?

A drawing bath for sucess. Mmm, maybe with crown of success bath crystals. Why would cleansing be necessary? Curious. Cleansing is done in excruciating circumstances where I come from.

I know I am asking many questions but it is just that I don't see much in regards to school success in folk magic in general.

Cleansing keeps any negative energies from being able to stick to you. Even stuff like mental stress, job stress, school stress can cause negative energy to build up - so by adopting regular cleansing you will keep yourself in a much better position to draw the things to you that you want, and give yourself a higher "immunity" to things are are not helpful to you.

Yes, Crown of Success/King Solomon Wisdom crystals would be good drawing baths to use. You can also use those crystals in your laundry rinse cycle to dress your clothes for success, and you can add it to mop water and use it to cleanse your house to draw that to you.

Yes, you will need fixed 7-day candles with oils/herbs and petition. You can order them from Lucky Mojo, or have a worker make them for you, if you do not know how or are not confident dressing them yourself. But you can certainly make them.

School success is very similar to career success/advancement. So look into career spells and just think of it in terms of school.

I have done vigil candles. I just wanted to clarify the way it is done in Hoodoo. Thanks for explaining cleansing in hoodoo. In my tradition, cleansing is usually done when you have done harmful magic.

If your going to be dealing with the professors for a while then you can put them in a honey jar, however putting them under a general honey jar is also affective. Or you can split the difference and set up a general honey jar and putt people into it as needed, I see no problem with opening honey jars and do this often with my own honey jar. I would make a point to work with King Solomon Wisdom products and with the spirit of the great king himself as King Solomon was in fact a judge(among other things :) )

BTW in the honey jar I would make sure to have Five Finger grass,Solomon Seal root, Sage and a Peach leaf.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks Haildiscordia.

I wonder the effectiveness since I doubt I will be able to get personal concerns (hair or any other bodily matter) from the professors. Perchance, some of them will give us computer-typed copies of assignments but that is it, everything is done via the computer in this school.
I do have pictures of them because they have their profiles on the school's web site. Maybe this will be good enough?

Additionally, I want something that will help me do better and succeed in school, I am still not sure of the effect of sweetening the professors to me will have on this goal. That is the reason I was thinking of the name of the school as the target, but this is too broad.

Also, what kind of petition paper would be acceptable in regards to the professors, "give me excellent grades?"

Also, has anybody ever tried the triangle position for honey jars?

Thanks for the herbs recommendation by the way.

The sweetening of the professors will be able to basically "sweeten" them up to give you want you want. They will be "sweet" and kind to you and give you the grades that you want and need. In addition, to what HD said to add I would also add allspice to the mix. I would use the professors as that narrows down. The school is just a school...the school does not issue out the grades...the professors do.

awesome information here.

jazzie, i also want to do a honey jar spell for success in school, so thanks for asking these questions.

I bought a king solomon honey jar kit from LM - I am sort of confused at what to do. The jar is a spell for my son for focus and to do well in school. Shall I put his name on the name paper along with "focus in school for good grades" on it, and should I put some personal concerns of his in the jar? I'm not sure if honey jar is the way to go for this type of work - maybe i should go with a mojo?

thanks for all the information so far everyone, this is just what i'm looking for.

cheers,
stacy

Starinthesky

Thank you.

To clarify,

I can write one petition paper for all of the professors, then?

Would this be the name of each professor just once and then crossed by my name?

Or something generic as in, the professors I have for Spring 2010 at (title of school), crossed by my name?

I was thinking of taking each professor's picture, write their individual names and cross it.

What do you suggest in regards to personal concerns? Will a name paper be enough? I hope so.

I had a friend when in nursing school , many years ago..she was several years ahead of me, but now in retrospect, when i think of what she used to do i am sure she used some sort of hoodoo proinciples...some of the stuff i remember
1. Created a massive honey jar made from date honey ( think short fat and squat dish with a wide lid) with the intent of 'feeding it as needed' during the 2 yrs of grad studies. I know she would put little pieces of paper in it..what else went in there i dont know...when i asked her she said she put 'prayers' in it..

2. she also kept lots of white candles and what looked like edible glitter in every color of the rainbow ( but green and gold were her fav colors), holy water, powdered sugar, and olive oil.

3.I know for a fact that her only bath aid was basic coarse grain salt..she never used soap to wash herself, and for her hair she used olive oil soap (green)... but she looked radiant!!

4.she also prayed over a lot of food that she would offer to her unit to keep them sweet to her...she also fed me a lot of stuff and i know i absolutely loved her and admired her to bits, so i guess i got worked on too! i still pray over food i prepare just before a party or for guests, and it works well. easiest thing to do is to keep prayed over sugar in the house..can be givn in tea/coffee or added to food..the best way to swweten a large group of people.

I think this is all she did, but she did extremely well with it. The HJ was an ongoing sweetener, and as needed she would light candles and sandalwood essence while praying for success. I think she lit a candle everynight for her night prayers.

i dont know how relevant this would be for you, but i think that when the focus is so general then you need a multi layered approach as the others have already described so well , ie: HJ, candles, mojo, prayers etc...

just wanted to share an interesting story from a different (iranian/indian) culture!

Well I'm freaking out. I went to the graduate portfolio day review back in October and either he over spoke his authority or I misunderstood but the professor who reviewed my portfolio told me he guaranteed my acceptance to the graduate school he was from, which was one of my top choices. Here's the rub, because he wasn't from my department he doesn't have any actual authority. I admit, I thought I was getting away with something because I knew my transcript was really horrible, which was for the most part my fault, others contributed but I had not yet learned to take responsibility for my life and take control, keeping other people from shitting things up for me. Now I'm freaking out because I didn't apply to any safety schools, just that school and two better and now I have no clue if I'll get in to graduate school.

I'm applying for my MFA in photography from SFAI, YALE and RISD. I actually really do feel I deserve to go to graduate school somewhere and had I been more well informed I would have applied to more schools. As it is I really don't want to wait another year, and worry that if I do I might now be able to go.

I had practiced magick for a good solid ten years up until about two years ago when I had so many conflicting ideologies my body literally rejected them, I had something really stressful happen to me, I got sick and went into fever fits and was able to finally expel my catholic upbringing and the toxic effect it had had on my life. For about a year I was a hard core atheist, then I was agnostic and now I certainly don't believe in Jesus or any kind of personified deity but I do think its possible for people to affect their own lives, in conjunction with real life effort, by altering the flow of the time stream and influencing the collective unconscious and connecting with the energies of the fabric of the universe.

I think I am open to try spell work again and see what I think of it, see if it will still work for me without some system of false humility to prop it up on. Basically I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for workings to get into graduate school and if anyone would like to I welcome any positive energy that will aid me in accomplishing my goals, so if anyone would like to do a working for me to get into graduate school I would really appreciate it.

First, since you sound new to hoodoo read This page:http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodoohistory.html (yes the whole thing) Then cleanse yourself with a good Spiritual Bath which you can read about here: http://www.luckymojo.com/baths.html I suggest you use VanVan which you can read up on here: http://www.luckymojo.com/vanvan.html Then, use the Crown of Succses spellkit you can get here :http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatspells.html

Good Luck, your going to need it.

truthfully I actually used hoodoo quite a bit in my daily practice, it was a weird mix of catholic, wiccan, hindu, celtic, native american, hoodoo, voodoo, Pow-wow, Jungian philosophy, and some personal things drawn from my own experience, a real hodge podge spiritual practice. That's all well and good but I'm looking for something a little more aggressive. Maybe a two candle set up, one to represent me and my success and the other representing the review boards and my control over them.

With your situation, you're going to be much better off if you can get an actual personal link from the exact people which will be reviewing your case. A recording of their voice might be the easiest to get as you can grab that from voicemail - we've discussed using tape of people's voices as a personal concern before, so a search should turn up that info.

As you state your transcript is not very good. Magic can help skew the odds more in your favor, but it can't change the fact that your transcripts are bad. This is going to be a hard case. I'd actually suggest hiring a rootworker to read on the possbilities here, and work on your behalf if there is hope.

I'm not even sure where or how I would hire a real root worker as opposed to just come con artist out to fleece people and even if I found one I'm extremely poor right now and have no idea how I'd pay them.

You could also do some things on yourself such as crown of success, luck and so on! the AIRR rootworkers are al listed here:

http://readersandrootworkers.org/index. ... ootworkers

Noboyd will guarantee results, but at least you know these people are trained and sincere.

I don't know what your subject is and that may affect how much your transcript really matters. You also need to try picturing yourself succeeding instead of putting this much time into worrying. Remember this is not life or death. If you don't get in this year you can reapply next year-- it's a hassle but try to calm down. Focus on WHY that professor liked you and try to bring that manifesting energy into interactions with a real review committee!

You need to work crown of success products. The spell kit would be up your alley, but you might need to take some time off from grad school to give more credibility to your applications. Take the time off to really work on your stuff and figure out what you will do with that MFA. I have an MFA that is virtually useless.

I went to grad school in my late 30s and it was my outside academic experience that got me in. I also did a lot of volunteer work teaching children how to read. It was my outside activities that got me into one of the best programs in the country.

Think outside the box.

Not hoodoo related, but I know that many people develop an actual website of their work. Websites are becoming the new resumes so to speak. So I would recommend that you look into doing something that like to display your work even if you are just applying. Volunteering is pretty key when getting into Master's and beyond degrees.

Crown Of Succses. Have a candle dressed with it burning as you study. If some or most of your problems come from procrastination work with Blessed Saint Expedite, tho he is most often petitioned for quick results he can also help people over come procrastination. Personally burning Frankincense and Myrrh really help with concentration and you may want to give that a try. Also a glass of water with lemon juice in it(preferably fresh, but use what you got) is great as a pick-me-up and will help you focus on what is important, as Ms.Cat said "Its like a Cut and Clear on your whole mind"

I hope at least some of that helps. Good Luck

Good consideration HailDiscordia, I drink lemon and water quite often but without the intention, I considered it a cleanser for the insides now I have a new intent. As I always say you learn something everyday from this forum.

Personally, I would purchase the kit because it has everything you will need and instructions to boot. HailDiscordia's suggestion of Frankincense and Myrrh will enhance any spell so you cant go wrong with these items.

Also try King Solomon Wisdom products and Master Key products. Both assist with mental clarity and focus. Try mixing some up with water and spraying around your work area or using an oil diffuser while you work, dress your important school papers, pens you use for test taking, etc. Also a splash of Florida water can be very mentally refreshing when I am having a hard time cutting through the mind flotsam. I can personally report that wearing Master Key oil, especially when I need my mind focused on an important task and am having trouble, truly has helped me focus and gain control over situations that I had trouble finding wisdom on, or felt were out of my control, and also has helped me develop a more focused and centered state of mind. Good luck on your studies!
Thank you Saint Martha for hearing my petition and for your ongoing good works for myself and others.

I am planning to burn the appropriate oils on a white skull candle to help my brother out in school because he is LAZY but smart, and i just want him to feel motivated. I have the white skull candle, john the conqueror oil, crown of success oil, king solomon wisdom oil, crucible of courage oil, and cast off evil powder to make my brother succeed in school.

i have read the threads on this forum and most of them suggested burning some of the oils that i already own on a candle, but I was wondering if there are any herbs that would accompany these oils to help with this?

thanks

If you have a candle already dressed why not use it if it is appropriate for your needs. Everything you listed is to give him strength, courage and wisdom and at the same time remove bad influences. But I am sure you have read "if it is his nature to be lazy...'your words not mine,' this may be a shot in the dark." But if you are like me I would try anyway with all of my strength because you do want your brother to be successful.

How about making him attracted to an environment where intelligence and learning is a part of the indetification signature? Such as a bunch of new friends or a girl who likes to study. This will make him work harder.
Make up a honey jar with a specified name paper, add some Cloves, Peach tree leaves and Benzion. Then set a candle with All Saints oil and get a picture of St. Ambrose and ask him to help you.

Hello all, I'm currently at a place in my life that I want to finish up my education; I only have a year left on my degree. I just got back on my feet and am a bit of trouble with my student loans. I dont have a problem paying them back; I just want to get out of default status, and before I call and start, I was wondering if there was something I can do to sweeten up the whole process. I now live in a new state and need my professors to work with me. Any help would be great. I'm not sure which saint is involved with finances and school. Thanks for any help in advance

You can do the Crown of Success Spell kit. Here is the link: http://www.luckymojo.com/spell-crown-of-success.html

You could have a Crown of Success candle dressed on the altar to. Here is the link: http://www.luckymojo.com/products-crown-of-success.html

I would recommend that you do a road opening spell, and perhaps some attraction work so that they will be attracted to your application as well. If you know who is in the department that will be looking at your application, you could put them in a honey jar, and dress a candle on top with some bend over. Lucky mojo has some great honey spell kits so you do not have to put it together yourself.
Thank u St. Martha for everything you have done on my behalf.

Combine Wealthy Way products with a Crown of Success honey jar to get things started on the right track! Then, when you're back in school, try a King Solomon Wisdom spell for good grades.

Many blessings,

Hey there,

Perhaps you should focus your energies on spells for "decreasing your debt" and also "money stay with me" spells, to sort of build up your finances. I would also do a spell to get a raise at a job, or find new work that pays more while you're in school. As for school itself...I would do spells for motivation, in order to complete the work ahead.

Sincerely,

I have an exam coming up and in addition there is some work I have to turn in to this instructor that I have yet to start on as I am just now getting all of the materials. Anyway, I don't want her to think I am taking advantage of her position, but I would like for her to kind of back off, be more relaxed on me getting everything to her. She favors me so I think it will be easier to do. She is also administering this exam and I would like for her to be relaxed on her grading the exam as well.

I have a Crown of Success mojo bag which I am utilizing and have asked St. Jude to help me concentrate on passing the test. What could I do to get the instructor to take a more carefree, forgiving approach. If I can get her away from the exam room for long periods of time, that would be even better!

I thought of doing a fast luck spell and maybe some controlling/compelling on the instructor?

The mojo bag is a great idea. However, I am not sure why you were working with St. Jude as he is the saint of hopeless cases. I think you can find a more appropriate saint to work with. As for what can you do, I would work a honey jar, and dress it with some bend over, and compelling on a purple candle. You can work with St. Martha as well.

Thank you.

I am working with St. Jude because I was the hopeless cause, lol. If I do not ace this, I am held back, and I am ready to complete this program. I couldn't focus to save my life and this was going to be terrible for me cause the exam is in a couple of days, and it is 3 years worth of material. I have really mastered ALOT over the past couple of days alone, and this is alot of work. St. Jude has absolutely came through for me.

Will St. Martha work to control/compel another woman?

Yeah I got the sense that you were behind lol. So keep the St. Jude. I feel this stress too but thats because I am a procrastinator. Its a horrible disease lol. Anywhoo, yes St. martha will work to control another woman. Perhaps you might want to cleanse yourself, and do a road opener. St. Martha does like to dominate men, however, she is great to dominate anyone. And once you have established a rapport with her she really can help in various situations.

Lol, so you know exactly where I am coming from. Being a procrastinator and in final semester=bad combination lol!
Yes, I have worked with St. Martha on family issues, she helped me and I believe she favors me but she got mad at me because I did not appropriately acknowledge her.
I will read on it and see if she will aid me in this matter. I was going to cleanse tomorrow, just didn't know what else to do after that.
Thank you, stars.

I think cleansing yourself would be great. And if you do not have the materials to do something...feel free to get a candle lit by LM so you can be backed up. I think you will be okay. And for St. Martha....let her know that you are sorry. She is not one that you have to give an official thank you to, but if you promised it to her just give it to her. I think you should just state that you are sorry which you have done I see on your signature. That is great. So try working with her again. She is pretty forgiving.

Hello,

My 1st grader is having a very hard time with her math. It's nearing the end of the school year and we have tried everything. Tutoring, extra practice and working with her teacher. She just has a hard time with it. In addition to continuing working with her I am wondering if there is a spell or bath or oil that is appropriate to help someone as young as she is. She is 6.

Thank you in advance,

Ruth.

Crown of Success works wonderfully for school and education work. You can anoint her with Crown of Success, wash her hair by placing some bath crystals in her shampoo, or adding some of those crystals into the bath cycle. Solomon's Seal root is a good herb to look into.

Adding to what CM said:

Consider doing an egg cleansing on the head of your child regularily (or place it on a photo or under the bed along with prayers if the child is reluctant to participate).

Having a spiritually clean environment can help if your child is sensitive to the thoughts, emotions and energy contained in a place that is rarely cleaned spiritually.

If the child is easily distracted, adding some mild forms of protection to the rest of the work might help.

Use yellow candles for the Success Work. Consider adding mints and peach tree leaves. Always use some incence when working on the mind. Consider using a White Skull Candle loaded with the hair of your child.

Anointing the pens and pencils with Crown of Success oil or Clarity Oil is a nice trick as well.

Hi Ruth,
Everyone has given you really good tips--mine involves the use of the Clarity formula in conjunction with King Solomon Wisdom formula.
You can combine both of those with Crown of Success which is what I would do. The clarity will help her think clearly and focus:
http://www.luckymojo.com/bath-clarity.html

King Solomon Wisdom increases her wisdom and understanding:
http://www.luckymojo.com/kingsolomonwisdom.html

and you already know about crown of success.

Finally as a side note, I work with several clients who have children in school experiencing various levels of success (and lack thereof). Often part of the problem, especially in mathematics, can have to do with her style of learning. This is not a sophisticated thing, but in today's world it can be made to sound really scary--we all know that different people learn in different ways. That is something that might need to be addressed to the teacher and some learning experiments tried with your child to see if she responds better to a certain approach. If things do not improve, I would get a reading on the situation.

good luck!
