start ...some of the buisness end type stuff of root work like opening

Cat, siva, Dara, Eoghan, Christine: you guys see
this?

(I know! Isn;t that far out! We were just testing your Podcast set-up behind the scenes! Shivian must have read our minds. :-) --cat)

Unknown to you guys, the Luckymojo Hoodoo Rootwork
Hour Audio Blog is coming online
at this moment! The aforementioned individuals
were invited to preview the site in the past
48 hours. I am amazed to logon to the HRC Group
this evening to see a message asking for a
podcast.

Talk about timing!

Anyway, I am going to go ahead and share the
Luckymojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Audio Blog
with all of you. It will take me a few days and
perhaps weeks to get all the shows
online, so please be patient and keep checking the
audio blog often. You can also
post comments about your favorite shows too.

Those of you who listen to podcast will see the
.xml link.

Copy and paste it into your iPod, iTunes or other
RSS reader.

Click on the link will only show the code iTunes
need to retreive the podcast.

Each of the shows are submitted to
Apples massive iTunes directory.

When those shows will show up in the iTunes
podcast directory depends
on when the file is indexed and that may take weeks.

So check out the Luckymojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour
Audio Blog:
http://hoodoorootwork.blogspot.com/

You can even listen online without downloading any
software!

Enjoy and Happy Hoodooing!

Dr. Kioni,

How does one listen to the archived rootwork shows online? (w/o an iPod)

I went to the site, selected a show and clicked on the "play button" and
didn't hear any playback.

Thanks for everything

Evan

(You need iTunes software, that's all. The iTunes application comes free in every Macintosh, but you can get a version for any brand of comuputer, i'd guess. We don't have a 'pod ourselves, but siva played the show for us on the Macintosh G4 PowerPC Tower in the shop -- and on his antique Macintosh G2 PowerPC up in the house. --cat)

I have always listened via Itunes in a PC (no less).
Now it is just easier. The program is free from the
Apple website. It's best to scan for viruses before
installing. I had problems installing 5.0 because it
turns out I did have a virus. After I got rid of it,
installation was a breeze.

Evan, the audio blog is designed to stream in your browser or
downloaded to an RSS reader like iTunes. I don't know why you
didn't hear the files once you click on it. Are yout speakers turned on?

Happy Hoodooing!

yes doc, I have the speakers turned on.

I also have macromedia flash 8 installed which is a program cited as involved when you right click on the graphics for the browser play option rather than the RSS format.

I'll dl an RSS player and let you know how that works, however, I just re-attempted to listen via the "play through the browser" method and there's no sound happening. Though the icon for the "play button" changes to the classic icon for "pause" after clicking the play arrow, the marker showing progression of the streaming doesn't move forward as the show is allowed to remain "playing" for a while i.e. 5 min.

I also confirmed that the volume on that control bar is up, and it is not muted.
