Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Why not go to his house in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep and bury the remains in his yard? Your chances of being noticed are lessened. It's best to deploy those remains in his yard in accordance with tradition, not just tossed from your moving car.
You can read what Miss Cat says about this on her Laying Tricks page: http://www.luckymojo.com/layingtricks.html. Scroll down to the bottom to the section titled "When Laying Tricks Is Just Too Difficult" and you will have her thoughts on this.
If for whatever reason deployment at his house is still not for you, then use the crossroads. You can thank the man at the crossroads, but your spell will only be as strong as it already is given your skills, prayer and how you worked the spell. Wait for signs after deployment, which will indicate whether more work is needed. Good luck!

Athena K,
No...they stay up very late...sometimes they won't sleep until like 7am, also they have security, and they have a dog. Also the houses on their left and right both have dogs. So they could call the police on me for trespassing their property.
I slept with him a lot before. Sometimes even we stayed up to 7am, then we decided to had sex.

Then dispose at a crossroad closest to where they live, as Miss Aida instructed.

Hello, Alexan,
Just dispose/deploy as you see fit as we have all given good advice and we have nothing else to add here.
Thank you

Hey, Alexan,
your thread got cut from the thread on candle divination. It is now joined into the thread on disposal of spell remains.
In my personal opinion, if it is a glass candle, please recycle the glass. Please have regard for the planet. Disposal of spell remains is not an excuse to lttle a crossroads with broken glass.

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
This is for Alexan. It is a continuation of a conversation he keeps trying to have in the Candle Divantion thread.
1) Your discussion of candle disposal has been MOVED. It is here.
2) You already have 5 board warnings for off-topic posts and for sending multiple PMs to people and you will be banned if this continues. There is a thread already created for the topic of disposal of ritual remains. THIS IS IT.
3) There is absolutely NO NEED to dispose of vigil candle glass at anyone's house. Vigil candle glass is best RECYCLED. It is glass. They melt it down and recycle it to make more glass.
4) There is absolutely NO NEED for any practitioner to endanger himself or herself in order to dispose of candle wax from a freestanding candle at someone's house on your say-so.
YES, it is very traditional to do this, if you live nearby and have convenient access, but you have already made a total of TEN POSTS stating that you cannot do this (all of which i either had to move or delete), so stop asking about it.
If the people lived in two different states would we command the worker to drive eighteen hours to dispose of the candle wax in a yard?
What if the targeted person had a restraining order out on the worker? Would we command the worker to face the serious consequences of arrest and imprisonment just to get some "dipose of it in the yard" rule followed?
As a worker who has done this type of spell and has counselled others in this work for 51 years, i can say that while yard disposal of wax (especially mixed with incense powder and crumbled into inconspicuous "gravel") is a nice idea, it is not alwats possible.
Thank you.

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Hi All --
This is the closest thread I could find re: my question, but please feel free to move this post to a place the moderators find more appropriate.
I could use some advice. I'm going to be moving to a new apartment rather soon, and have to pack up some active workings. Luckily, the people helping me also practice magic and respect it, so there will be nothing to really hide or explain. That's what's good.
And most of what has to move is jarred magic (honey jar, prayer jars for saints) and supplies. What concerns me is the oil lamp.
I'm still lighting it per Prof Porterfield's prescription (I was on the LMCC rootwork hour and that's where I was advised) on the days I'm supposed to, but, well, soon it will have to be packed up and carefully moved, which means I may not get to it to light it or work it right away.
Sooo...is this just a hiatus with an easy restart, or will having the days, possibly a week, missed be a real problem with the working? I'd be grateful for help on this.
Thanks!

magicmurphy,
This sounds like an intermittent, open-ended spell. I tend to view that kind of work as too sturdy for short interruptions to ruin it.
Good luck,
Miss Michaele

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
I don't have a front yard or back yard and I can't bury the remains of a spell work in a potted plant since I'll be moving back and forth. I'm mostly focused on doing love spells and I was wondering...Since all my spells are made for love, could I keep all the ritual remains from different love spells altogether and place it for instance in a glass jar??? Is this possible since I was told that positive work should be kept? Thanks!
Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Hello, Moonlightdream ,
You could do that but it's not that effective.
Try one of these other methods mentioned here: ww.luckymojo.com/layingtricks.html

Then I guess my only option is the crossroads?? Would it still be effective because love work should normally be kept near you ? Thanks Miss Aida!

Hi Moonlightdream,
I would still do an indoor potted plant, you can take that with you as you move around. Get a small one.
The crossroads is also fine.
Good Luck!

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
I am unable to dispose of any wax properly so i am just holding onto everything and will store it away. Anyway, i burnt two free standing candles... with collecting the wax, is it okay if i do not get all the wax, but just the majority? I burnt them on a plate so when removing the big parts of wax it left very tiny max marks and some oil. Can this just be washed down the sink? I don't want to have to stress about every little detail. I am still so new, i just want to make sure i do nothing wrong.
Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Hi Pria1220,
I moved your post as it was more about disposing of ritual remains than of candle divination.
There are a number of methods of Disposing of Ritual Remains that you can do. Of course I do not know your situation, and do encourage to make the effort or find the best way for you to rid of the wax. Do visit the link above and read the previous pages of this thread to help out.
Though, depending on the work, one can keep the wax remains and bury them in a plant, on the property of the home, etc. This is usually for matters such as love, money, protection for example. If the work was a negative working then I would absolutely not hold on to that at all.

Thank you. I do not have a plant or pot, and broke atm so i cannot buy one.
Is it bad ti store them away in the cupboard until i can properly dispose of them or plant them in a pot?

Hi Priya1220,
Sounds like this is a positive working since you are considering putting git in a pot. Just place it somewhere safe till you can buy a plant.
Good Luck!

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
excuse me, how to disposed(rid of) 7-day candles ?
Have a lot of plain finish 7 day candle I write on with a black sharpie markers with my desire on it.
Now I want to throw it away but I am scared because of being disrespectful to helpful good angel/spirit who answer my prayer.
Should clean with ammonia and put it in a recycling bin?

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Hi Priya,
If you used the water to spiritually cleanse your house (like the mop water from spiritual house cleaning), then some people prefer to reserve a small amount to be disposed of off the property, in a crossroads (or other appropriate location. When it comes to cleansing candles, that type of disposal is probably overkill: many of us don't even cleanse our candles at all.

Lol Aura, you are right, thank you!
I guess i thought i should cleanse mine because the ones i bought at the grocery store were so cheap and verrrrry cheaply made. They are probably emergency candles and thats why. But it was four votive candles for a dollar. 0_0 i will be definitely buying loads of candles from LM when i finally have the cash to spend when i find a job.
I had no idea that most people don't even cleanse theirs. Lol.
Thank you!!

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
How does one dispose of candle wax.where the candle was cleansed improperly?
Only reason i cleansed it was to get rid of a certain oil i had on it that i didn't want etc.
I cleansed it rubbing up, which draws negativity. I had forgotten what way i was suppose to rub at the time though, so like i said, i went with up.. 0_0 didn't realize i had done it improperly until the candle was almost done burning. Anyway. I pinched it out. How do i dispose of it now? Can i throw it away into the trash? It was a candle to a Saint meant for positive work.

Hello, Priya1220 ,
Why not cleanse it thoroughly and start again?
Otherwise, you would still dispose of it traditionally.
Take care

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Because the candle was almost burnt down all the way to being finished. I did light a new white candle after to get rid of any negativity i might have caused
I would just think im suppose to throw it away as i rubbed up which is suppose to mean i drew the negativity up to me. So i thought throwing it in the trash would be the best route and cancel out anything i did....? i would think holding onto it would draw negativity to me? Am i correct in thinking these things?
Thank you!

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Priya1220, We do not usually throw things "in the trash." This thread is 17 pages long and over and over again Miss cat, Miss Bri, Miss Aida, Miss Michaele, and all the other moderators explain how to dispose of ritual remains. If the candle you used is a glass candle, wash it out and recycle the glass. If it is a free-standing wax candle, dispose of it according to the ways taught her, which depend on the spell you did.
You have posted before about "cleansing" candles. but this is not part of hoodoo tradition. I think you have hoodoo mixed up with something else.
As Miss cat once said on the radio, "If hoodoo candles were so impure that you had to cleanse them before use, then why isn't incense so impure you have to cleanse it before use? Why isn't a sachet powder so impure you have to cleanse it before use? Why is it okay to use an oil straight from the bottle, but you think you have to cleanse a candle first? And if you cleanse a candle with Florida Water, what are you supposed to cleanse the bottle of Florida Water with -- Hoyt's Colhgne? And if you cleanse the Florida Water with Hoyt's Colgne, what do you cleanse the bottle of Hoyt's Cologne with, Chinese Wash? But then what do you cleanse the bottle of Chinese Wsh with -- a candle flame?"
I think she's right, this idea of cleansing candles is, as she put it, "magical overkill ... or magical OCD."

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
i have not mixed hoodoo up with anything else. I understand cleansing a candle is overkill. In my situation it was necessary because it needed to be cleansed to get rid of the oil i originally had on it that i decided i didnt want to use on it anymore or else i would have had to throw away the candle, and i didnt want it to go to waste.
Sorry, wasnt trying to be a pain.
I thought throwing it away in the trash would still work as i thought it would still cancel out the negativity. I have gone through this whole thread, however that was over a month ago and i didnt have the energy when i wrote my question to go through the whole thread again in regards about throwing negative work in the trash.
I will go to a crossroads and dispose of it there to cancel out any negativity I may have caused.
Thank you

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
I live on the second floor of an apartment and finding a place to dispose of remains isn't very convenient, so lately I have been keeping the remains in a paper bag until I have time to sort everything out.
Is this ok to do? I have remains, mostly paper, wax, novenas, and foil with wax stuck to it in a bag, some from different spells. Am I mixing energies? Mind you, all of the spells are ongoing, and none of the remains are the type you bury as part of the completion of a spell (they're more like scraps or pieces of wax that were making it hard to place other candles on top of my spell jars).

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Hello, misskitty49,
I would certainly not mix them up.
And remember that disposal is deployment. There's not a problem in deploying the remnants of a spell and continuing a new spell of the same nature.
Please separate them and dispose/deploy a soon as possible.
Take care

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
I disposed of remains in a crossroads, threw it over my left shoulder to the west. The remains were of two candles to get rid of negativity in my life and the petitions used for them, which i ripped up and then threw with the wax. Was this correct for me to do?
Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
I have three disposal questions...
1.) I just deployed a break up jar in the middle of the crossroads and realized looking at my car compass while driving by that I threw it over my shoulder to the EAST, not the West. I think I've made that mistake a few times now. How bad is that? Did I just cross my work? Clearly I was NOT a girl scout and don't know my directions! Moving forward I now know...but how much damage or tripping up did I just do with what I deployed?
2.) I have small kids so disposing late night or before dawn at a crossroads or in cemeteries away from my house is tough to do unless I hold off until the weekends because I work late on Fridays and Saturday...if I find a quiet cemetery, tree, river or a crossroads where I won't look like a crazy person standing in the middle of it, can I deploy my spells and remains earlier in the day? Or is it okay to hold onto them until the weekend...but then technically I'm delaying the spell aren't I?
3.) I read that you should wrap up your wax/candle remains in aluminum foil to keep the spell going, and then wrap it up again in either black cloth tied with black thread for "dark work" and white cloth tied with red thread for "love work"...how will the "dark remains" (cause the love remains are being buried in my front yard to bring that love to me) disperse in the crossroads if they are wrapped up in a nicely tied packet? Someone could pick up or it might just lay there like a lump in the middle of the road.
Thanks in advance for your replies!

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Hello karma_13,
Question 1, It is hard to tell how much this will tangle up or not tangle up your work. TO know for certain I would suggest getting a reading. Otherwise jsut wait and see how effective the work is. If you get results that you want you are good to go, if not redo the work.
Question 2, This is kind of up to you. Try waiting till the weekend and see if that works well for you. Depending on your natural talent and developed skill it may not effect your work all that much or it could through it out of whack. I imagine it will fall somewhere in-between those extremes.
Question 3, you can bury the remains at a crossroads and then know one will see it to pick it up.
Peace~

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Hi,
So I was doing a break up spell with three vigil candles since I wasn't able to get the figural ones on time. Mine and his burned. I put our photos underneath them. His candle burnt pretty quick and it managed to burn my candle quicker along with my photo and a bit of his. There's no wax remaining and I used a baking sheet so that it wouldn't ruin my alter. I have all this soot now, should I bury it near my house ? Or should I do that and restart the spell again ?? Or get a reading ?? Oh my! Not sure what to do!

Hello, Priya,
Just out of curiosity, where does it say to rip up the petitions?
I've read this twice this week on the forum from other people. Wondering if I have missed something and where they saw this???
Sorry we missed your post and thank you for sending me a PM and bringing it to my attention

Sorry, it doesn't say it anywhere.
The only reason i did that was because i was worried someone would come across it and read my petition. So if i were to rip it up then that wouldn't happen.
Sorry, i guess i thought that would be okay to do.
Thank you for everything!! <3

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
1) is it okay to dispose at a crossroads that is right outside my apartment complex? I disposed of wax and petition papers this morning out there. I looked out of the corner of my eye when i was walking away but only at the road and not at the items. And then later i took the bus to the store and the bus drops me off near my place right before the crossroads where i disposed of my stuff... i automatically looked to see if i could see the stuff i disposed of and it was gone. Was this wrong of me to look?
sigh... sorry i was being dumb. I shouldnt huge looked.... but it was hard not to as i had to walk through this crossroads to get to my place. I am assuming because of this, i
should dispose my things at a different crossroads from now on so this doesn't happen again, right?
2) is it always mandatory to dispose of cleansing bath water at a crossroads? And what direction do you throw it in?
___________
The problem is is that i dont have a bath.... just a shower... so how am i suppose to save water from cleansing then? I bought a cleansing soap to use... and i was just going to use it as if i were taking a regular shower and just wash myself with the soap rubbing down while reciting psalm 51, which i assume is the best psalm to recite for a basic cleansing... unless there is a better psalm to recite for a 'basic' cleansing.
Anyway sorry. Just don't want to do this the wrong way.
The only way i can think of doing this is to fill up a bucket with water... get the water all soapy with the cleansing soap... wash myself with a cloth while standing in the shower (with the shower off of course), rub down for cleansing, recite my prayer, air dry, and then go to a crossroads and dispose of the water that's in the bucket. .... but in what direction do i throw it in and do i throw it over my right or left shoulder?
Does this sound like the way i need to perform this since i only have a shower?
Doing it this way sounds wrong to me because i feel like i should be standing in the bucket so it collects the dirty water because you are suppose to dispose of the "dirty water." .. but i don't have a bucket big enough to stand in.... what do i do? Hope someone can help me.
thank you in advance.

Hello Priya1220,
I personally don't think it's good to o that at a crossroad where you'll be seeing it everyday. You're not supposed to look back. And you're not supposed to look. So, this was indeed wrong.
You take it to a crossroad that you don't do over .
So, you need to perform the spell again from the beginning.
AS far as your bath questions, Miss cat has an entire webpage devoted to this issue: www.luckymojo.com/baths.html
Please read the page and you will learn a lot

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Apologies if this has been asked before, but regarding burying remains of a spell (figural candle) for love.....I know that you are supposed to bury these types of remains in your front yard or by the front door for "drawing" your lover to you, but what if the back door of your home is the door that everyone (including the target) enters and leaves from? Would it be acceptable to burying the remains near the back door in that situation? No one ever uses the front door of my home.
Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Hello, Nethaera,
No. You would still use the front as a gesture of "calling" that person to come to you from the street.

Thank you, Miss Aida! As always you are so helpful to me!
Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
I'm a bit concerned about the less than biodegradeable nature of wax remains, so I've been melting and re-using some of them. I'm not very good at making candles, though, and the majority of my work is for love; so I think it's probably best to get a dedicated plant pot to bury things in. What is a good plant for this? xD Something suited to helping love flourish, but not too delicate? The weather is quite harsh here. Opinions are appreciated.

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
Hi,I have read the posts about burying remains for love spells, but I am wondering what if you have taper candles you light on a regular basis for love work, must you bury them,I mean I have a lot from doing them every week I put them in a paper bag, what should be done with them does anyone know, just regular tapers that I put return oil on,thanks everyone.
Also on a separate note,I was reading the post on the previous page,I also thought you must cleanse candles before you start them,as I read that on the forum here before,to put whiskey or florida water on them,I was doing that not only on the taper and chime candles, but the LM vigils which I did question because lm bless them first and the post on previous page here says you don't need to cleanse them,I hope I didn't affect the blessing on them as I got no result on two of them,I was listening to the posters who said you must cleanse everything before you use them

Hello, flames_dancer,
Yes, they ought to be buried also. All remains.
Also, it is not necessary to clean your candles. Some rootworkers do it but it is not necessary at all.
So, either way, you're fine
take care

Hello flames_dancer,
You can bury them near an old tree if you like. It is usually better to keep them close to your property if you can though. It would help your cause if you develop some kind of relationship with what ever old tree you decide to work with in this way.
Peace~

My driveway is across my neighbor driveway. It makes a cross with our street running in between them. Can I consider my driveway a crossroad for an uncrossing spell?

Hello, Luckyjojo ,
We realize that you are new, but please do not start new topics every time you have a question.
On each forum page, go to the right upper hand corner. In the dark green area there is a white search box. Enter your key words there.
Unfortunately, this does not count as a crossroad.

Re: Disposal of Ritual Remains Questions and Answers
I bought the graveyard dirt of a few of my ancestors and ever since then there's been a heavy, anxious feeling in my house. I have the feeling I need to get rid of the dirt. Problem is, I have no idea how to do it other than returning it to where I got it which is extremely far, and sending it down moving water, but there aren't any accessible rivers or creeks that I know of nearby. What should I do?

What kind of prayer do you say while disposing the water? I have the cleansing herbs, today after I cleaned my house and bathed myself, I disposed the water reciting Psamls 37. I usually like psalms 23 but my rootworker said 37 is better.

Also is it okay to go to the same crossroads to dispose the water everyday? I know you're not suppose to look back but it's the only crossroads close to me.

Unfortunately that's not possible. Looks like running water or a crossroad would be my next best option
