Lucky Mojo Vigil Light Questions and Answers (non MISC)

Unread post by Glaciers » Tue Jan 14, 2014 1:48 pm

On one of the radio shows Miss Cat had a spell using vigils for when a person is traveling.

The work called for a person's picture next to the Safe Travel vigil which was to be burned while the person was away. The Safe Travel candles were to be burned in succession until the person returned home. There was another aspect to the is work that was not clear. It had something to do with covering the unlit vigils with a white handkerchief until they were ready to be lit [not sure i got this right] ?. If Miss Cat would be so kind as to clarify this, i would be most grateful. I usually date the radio shows so i could go back for clarification, but this time i did not and thus cannot remember which show it was. I just ordered several ST candles for a loved one that is going on a trip and hope to have this clarification so i can use this work.

thank you in advance.

Hello, Glaciers,
I don't know what radio show it was. You'll have to wait for Miss cat to answer or someone who remembers the radio show.
Could it have been on this page? http://www.luckymojo.com/safetravel.html
Also, have you searched: Safe travel in the search engine?
I hope you find it.
Wishing you the best

"Lucky Mojo is the flagship formula of the entire Lucky Mojo line of Spiritual Supplies. Our company;s good name -- and our commitment to traditional craftsmanship of hoodoo goods and products -- is based upon this time-honoured title and the funky but charming early 20th century image of Mojo, the turbaned boy who brings good luck to all who apply to him."

Our prepared 8" glass-encased vigil lights come with a dressing of oils and herbs and will burn for 5 - 7 days, depending on ambient temperature and other factors.

If you wish to set a traditional Novena of nine days, you will either have to start and stop the candle (which can result in a smoky glass), or purchase two candles to run continually over the 9-day period.

Always practice fire safety when setting vigil lights. If you must keep them lit when you are away or asleep, be sure that no pets or children can get into the room with them, that they are not near curtains or flammable cloth or paper, and that you have a smoke alarm in your house. Placing lit vigils in the bathtub is quite common, but you must not have a shower curtain if you use this method. Setting them into a fireplace is ideal, as there is a ready-made chimney for them.
