Hi All --

Well, I did it. I completed my manuscript and mailed it to the publisher today. :D

It's academic publishing, so no big-bucks profits and pittance royalties, but this really is important with regard to career credentials.
Would any of you have recommendations for spellwork on making sure the editing/publication process goes smoothly, trouble-free and quickly?
And that it gets attention when published, and good reviews?

And then... I really want to move on from this area of research...it's been great, but I really am ready to move on and get excited about something else. Is there a version of a "Cut and Clear" for long-term research commitment? I want to keep the separation amicable haha... but I don't want this work to define me the rest of my life.

Thanks ahead of time for any responses and recommendations. :)

Hiya magicmurphy,

First of all congrats on finishing your manuscript, as a freelance writer, I know that step is a big one! In order to help you find success, get published, and get great reviews, I would recommend doing some Crown of Success work. Here is a link to help you get started: http://www.luckymojo.com/crownofsuccess.html

Best of luck!

Hi. I'm new to the forum and I have a question about a money-drawing bottle spell.

I was recently in a severe accident and was left with a huge amount of medical debt and temporarily unable to work. I'm a bartender at a music venue and my amazing boss and coworkers are throwing a benefit gig on my behalf at our music hall. I decided to work a bottle spell for the success of the show.

The bottle itself is an antique "Presto" brand mason jar that I painted green and decorated. Since the spell is designed for the success of our show (lots of customers, donations, etc.), I wrote my petition paper on the back of a flyer advertising the event. Even though the spell is SPECIFICALLY for the success of a one-night show, in the long run, it is for my financial healing after my accident.

My questions are about the bottle itself.

1) Once the show is over, can I empty the bottle and then re-fill it for a general money-drawing spell or an ongoing shaking bottle spell for financial good fortune, or do I need to dispose of it?

2) Can I take out the event-specific petition paper and add a new one that is more general?

Any thoughts would be great and thanks for the help!

Hi, ThaddeusAH,
Welcome to the forum and our Hoodoo family.
I'm a little confused. You say that you made the bottle for a dual purpose: Financial healing after the show and the success of one specific show.
Because it has a dual purpose, I would keep the jar as it is even after the show. Hey! You never know! The show might be so successful that it will draw other shows. And, also, you don't want to UNDO the financial healing after the show (that's the ongoing spell).
I would keep this one, keep it active, and just make an additional one.
Hope this helps.
I pray that you have a speedy recovery and health, wealth, and happiness

You are absolutely right. I'm going to keep this one up and going. It sure wouldn't hurt any if the bar put on a few more gigs like this one and I need all the help I can get to get my money flowing again.

Thanks so much for the advice and I"m very excited to be a part of this community!

Put some mint in there. Mint protects money -- and it's an INVASIVE plant, too. Use it for its multiplier effect :)

And don't replace the petition that was written on the benefit flyer -- ADD petitions.

Best of luck,

Hi thewarning,

I'm an artist as well, and I actually like to use "PSYCHIC VISION" for inspiration! It's my personal favorite when I'm writing song lyrics, or poetry.

http://www.luckymojo.com/psychicvision.html

Also, Lucky Mojo sells Archangel Uriel oil and candles. He's the patron Archangel for poets, writes, and artist ect.

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Greetings Owlsee,

Yes, put the paper under the candle. I would also suggest a loadstone spell or work with the "Attraction spell kit".

Owlsee,

I merged your thread into the longer thread on Spells for Success in Art Music Dance Literature , as a blog is an artistic or literary venture. Read from the beginning to find more ideas.

I have a good friend who has been a working musician for a long time. She is amazingly talented and doing just fine, but she wanted to know if I could work a mojo bag for her continued success. Since she is a guitar player, I thought a crossroads spell would be perfect, but I am currently confined to a wheelchair, so getting out to a crossroads every night isn't feasible. My first thought was to make a cross-mark out of sachet powder on my altar and then "bury" a small skeleton key in it; feeding the key whiskey every night for nine nights. Now, however, I think I may want to gather dirt from a crossroads and use that rather than sachet powder.

My questions are: Should I use just the dirt, or mix it with a a powder like Crown of Success?
How should I pay for the dirt? Three pennies or a Mercury dime, like graveyard dirt?
Is this even a good idea?

If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks

ThaddeusAH: I have used Crossroads dirt inside of my home a few times now. It has worked very well for me. You can use the dirt by itself or you can mix it will the powder. I left the dirt "whole" and outlined the entire crossroad I made with the powder.

My example:

Miss Olivia: It is my pleasure to share these works. That particular indoor crossroads work brought me, my wife, my father-in-law, and our two cats, 3,000 miles across the country in one big automobile without as much as a scratch, splinter, boo-boo, or blow-out. We kept it going for a good long while before leaving on our big trip.

Yes, practice is key! And keeping yourself motivated through the down periods is really hard.

But I would get the planets working for you...Venus is all about art and creative flow, beauty, and inspiration. Mercury helps with communication, and bringing through energy quickly. I love working in triads, so I would put a trinity of candles in the space that I will be working artistically in - I'd use a fixed Mercury candle, with a fixed Venus candle, and then give it a little "oomph" with a fixed Master candle. Then set about practicing in that environment primed for artistic endeavor!

If you want to petition a deity, well the Hindu goddess Saraswati is your savior! She's the goddess not only of all the performing arts (music, dance, singing, etc), she's also the goddess of wisdom and knowledge...so you can work with all the angles the various workers here have been suggesting wisdom/clarity and summoning up pure inspiration! Lucky Mojo has a spectacular line of Saraswati condition products. And here's a tip: she loves the color yellow and sour treats!

You can print out, or if you've got some visual arts chops, draw a Saraswati yantra, place your picture on top of it, and then place a dressed Saraswati or Master candle on top of that, and chant her mantra OM AIM Saraswatiyei namaha while praying for her aid and inspiration. If you want, include a picture of her on the altar space - she's quite beautiful to look at! Offer some incense with your prayers and candle, along with some water, and a sour sweet. Spend some time daily chanting with her, and see how your inspiration and talent blossoms!

I wasn't sure which section to put this in but it involves the legal matters of business.

I have an idea for a television show I want to pitch to a network such as Travel Channel, Discovery Channel or perhaps even the OWN Network. The issue is that it's only an idea and I don't have any options to protect my idea legally.
You can not copyright an idea.

I've heard horror stories about people pitching an idea to a network and the producers STEALING the idea without giving any credit to the person that brought the idea to them in the first place. It's murky waters because you can't do much about it once it happens.

I need a way to protect myself from that happening. I also need help actually getting noticed by these networks.

Ideally I would like to pitch to the network, they like it, produce it and it becomes a hit. I want to be compensated and have a hand in the project for the duration. I don't want to be paid out(or not paid at all) and the show continues to flourish and I'm left in the dust while the network gets all the credit.
This show, if all works out, will be my way into the industry and I plan on building from there.

I've read positive tales and horror stories about pitching to networks and I would rather be amongst the positive stories

Yet, to even pitch to a network (because they don't generally take unsolicited items, unless you're just really lucky) I'll need to go through a notable production company. The issue still stands of protecting myself and my idea.Production companies are generally pretty open to people pitching to them but they're still known for stealing ideas with no credit given.

Any help. please?

Dear cccoralee,

If you have a treatment ( a four or five page summary of the show), you can make several copies and mail one to yourself, making sure it is dated by the post office.
Do not open this letter. Keep it, just in case someone does steal the idea, you will at least have proof that you came up with the idea yourself.

You can also do fiery wall of protection for the idea. http://www.luckymojo.com/fierywall.html
Dust the treatment with fiery wall products and smoke it with incense. This is for the one you are sending to yourself.
When you go to pitch the idea, use alluring products such as: http://luckymojo.com/crownofsuccess.html
http://luckymojo.com/lookmeover.html
http://www.luckymojo.com/attraction.html

When you are pitching, wear the alluring products I suggested. And dust your treatment with money drawing powders.

Decide on a production company. One at a time. Do a honey jar on the production company and everyone in charge there. Just look up their names. The producer, the director, etc.
http://luckymojo.com/honeyjar.html
Make sure the idea fits their image.

For pitching use deer's tongue for eloquent and persuasive speech.

And you probably know this, but when you are pitching an idea to a film company it is vital you can sum up the main idea in a short sentence.
For example: "A Meteor the size of Texas is speeding toward the Earth" That was the pitch for the film, Armageddon. So, a hook, then the title. A treatment is really good to have on your hands because it gives you more power. Plus if they're interested they'll want to know a little bit more.
Having a Queen Elizabeth's Root in your pocket would be good too.

When you do your petition, really pray on what your intention is. Pray for protection from idea theft, pray for the film company to buy your idea, pray for success. Focused prayer goes a long way.
The more specific you are the easier it is for spirit to help you.

I can't speak on legal matters but someone else might. You can always go to an entertainment attorney for a consult.

Best to you!

Do you have a screenwriting agent? It's not required but even interviewing one would be a good idea. Don't talk about your specifics with him/her, just ask in general.

My partner is a game show writer/researcher/producer, so I will ask her more about it this evening, but basically this rule applies: It's who you know. She got her first job simply because she met (socially) one of the writers/script supervisors on her favorite shows in the past, and that was 17+ years ago; she has been working in the business ever since. She also has 10+ years library science experience, and has taken many college-level courses on film and history, so she is well educated and very talented at her job. She does not have an agent; for game/reality shows it really is 'who you know.' She works for 2-3 producers regularly who now call her every time shows are hiring. I myself, as one of my side jobs, do the transcription of novels for a bestselling author. I met him, through my partnerr, at San Diego Comic Con several years ago, and have been working for him since 2005-6 or so. I have 25+ years of transcription experience so he knew I had the background to do the job. So again, it's who you know, and how marketable and experienced *you* are, that breaks you in.

Be prepared for failure. The main producer she works for has pitched hundreds of times, and only a very few of those get even to the pilot stage. You have to be patient.

These days, go to comic-cons, particularly the bigger ones (NY, SDCC, etc). Many studios, networks and production companies have presences there now and the ability for fans and aspiring writers to meet people who can give advice. And yes, it's almost impossible to get into SDCC now, for that very resaon, since that's the one that almost all the studios and companies go to.

Yes, put a treatment together. And there are specific formats and rules you need to follow. You should look into scriptwriting courses and learn all you can. And yes, nobody will accept an unsolicited idea through the mail, for the exact reason you state above.

And with little exception, you need to live in the TMZ (yes, it really is a place) if you seriously want to meet the people you will need to meet to break in. Many people start as PA's (production assistants) which is low-level grunt work, but if you work hard and keep a positive attitude, you will be noticed and it's great exposure to writers, etc so you can soak up info by osmosis.

When you have done all this, and if you are lucky enough to get to that stage, I would definitely make use of sachet powders such as Look Me Over and Attraction, dusting it and then shaking all excess off the pages before submitting them. Make sure there is no powder left on the pages when you send them.

I will try to get more info for you later.

Some more thoughts...

Definitely consult an entertainment attorney.

Do what you can to try to get into SD Comic Con. That convention is filled with panels of TV and film writers every year who speak for an hour or more in panels on how to break in, what to do, etc. They are available usually for quick conversation in private afterward, or if they're autographing after a panel, you can talk to them briefly then. Don't tell them your ideas, just ask for info on pitching, if they haven't already told you in the panel.

Watch the shows you're wanting to emulate, particularly the closing credits -- learn producer's names (executive and line/segment), the production company's name, etc. Call the company and ask for the name(s) of with whom you should correspond. Don't send it just generically to XXX company or channel. Get a name.

Follow the trends. Watch what is being shown on different channels. What's popular now? We have more supernatural/vampire stuff always. Stuff spun off of books and movies. On the learning channel type stuff, its still historical quasi-dramas and reality shows.

As far as creative control, realistically, unless your name is JK Rowling you are not going to have that kind of clout to make any demands. A buyout is almost a certainty. How much is relinquishing control worth to you? It was worth $4 billion dollars to George Lucas. Talk to an ent. attorney. People make very nice livings just submitting treatments/options. And once the prod company/studio has it, they are under NO obligation to even make it. And you have no right to force them to, in whatever contractual agreement you reach for purchase of those rights. Once they have the rights, they can shelve it forever if they want, and unless they agree to sell the rights back to you, you have no recourse. And your show may be tweaked and warped into something else entirely, characters added, names/places changed, etc.

Finally, if you want some very good insight into the nuts and bolts and 'reality' of TV production, read 'The Hunger Games.' It was written by someone with years of TV production experience, which is why it rings true.

Hi cccoraralee,

Just to let you know what happened to me. I pitched an idea to a national Emmy winning TV show. I came up with the idea and wrote a treatment for it.
I looked online to see how to pitch ideas to this company and was told to email the application form for pitches online. I prayed over the pitch, dusted crown of success on the pitch and on the corners of
my computer. The pitch was well researched for this show. I knew there were thousands of people also pitching. At the time I didn't have any " I can, you can't" products but if I had I would have used them in a bath before submitting a pitch.
The next day, the production company called, they accepted my idea. They also asked me to be on the show. I appeared on the show one month after the pitch was accepted.
I didn't know anyone, nobody helped me out. I did it with my formula.
A good idea, a good pitch, crown of success products and intense prayer.

I was asked to come back to the show anytime.

Another time, I pitched a different show, this one was local. They accepted the pitch with a treatment. I was asked to be on that show too. It was a cooking show.
All in all, it is about hard work and also a positive attitude. The people you are pitching to are human beings, they want to like you.
You can get a spell kit which may be easier. http://www.luckymojo.com/crownofsuccess.html
The crucible of Courage products would be good too : http://www.luckymojo.com/crucibleofcourage.html
And think about getting a reading to see if there are any obstacles and what to watch out for. www.readersandrootworkers.org
or, 1-888-4-HOODOO
or a free reading on the Lucky Mojo Radio Show: register an account with Blog Talk Radio at : http://www.luckymojo.com/radioshow.html

Never give up on your dream! Work hard, believe in yourself, be prepared and go for it!

The LM products, a positive attitude, tenacity and prayer give you the edge that others lack.

I believe in you!

Thank you everyone for all the advice! This forum is great and very helpful.

I've already scheduled a meeting with a lawyer who will tell me the ins-n-outs and give me all the info I need for a treatment.
I've done loads of research, got the idea of the show down to a T and researched trends and such to better help me pitch it is as being successful.
It's also about something I know loads about and live.

I'll be sure to get the products recommended and hopefully all works out.

And I'll schedule a reading soon.

Thanks everyone so much!!!

Any suggestions on how to charm something that's digital? I mean when its a physical place I can sage it and anoint it with oil, but something like a kickstarter I'm not entirely sure. I guess maybe I could take a screen shot of the finished page and place it on my altar and anoint it with oils and burn a candle over it but even then I'm not entirely sure what to use. Any suggestions guys?

Yes, indeed. You could also dress your computer with oils, and your hands, too. And baths! Don't forget baths.

Now, where will you be doing the work you want Kickstarted? A studio? An office? Treat that just as if it was a storefront, because that's where you want the money to end up.
but even then I'm not entirely sure what to use.
Attraction, Look Me Over, Lodestone, Money House Blessing, Pay Me, Prosperity, Wealthy Way, Steady Work -- so many (overwhelming :)) possibilities! Look Me Over and Pay Me sound just right for Kickstarter.

If you're using incense, get some Bay Leaf and Five-Finger Grass in there, too, for favor and generosity. Come to think of it, both those herbs are available as oils, too.

And get some King Solomon Wisdom in there, for sound business decisions.

Hope this helps,

I would suggest dressing your camera and photo equipment (lightly) with the oils that Miss Michaele mentioned. That way you're attracting as you photograph.

Hi Wunderplop,

in addition to the mundane actions of practicing your instrument, writing music and booking gigs, you'll find some ideas to inspire you in the following thread I've merged your post into.

I'm currently right now building my artistic skills such as drawing, illustration, and eventually graphic design. Drawing comes very easy to me(I practice everyday), and I would like to develop this into a higher skill where I can provide my services & build my own graphic design business. I would like to know if there's any kind of spell for me to incorporate and eventually acquire this goal?

Also, is there some sort of money spell where I can bring money to myself to get the materials I need for this business?

** I don't know if this is the best category for me to be posting these questions, please move it if you can have to **

Hi macdagreat

I wet ahead and merged your post to an already established thread on Success Spells in the arts. Also be sure to listen to the June 16, 2013 Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour. The second caller inquires about improving their artistic skills, and they are given TONS of excellent advice for mastering their art, but also ways to be successful.

Hey Guys

I'm big into Law of Attraction and after getting done with my first big goal, I'd like to know if there's anything to help me with my next one. Are there any Spells or items that could help me get some ideal bandmates in my life? Ive already started writing down lists for each of them like what I want them to play like, be like, look like, you know?

Best

Another strategy is to work lodestone candle spells similar to the one used to attract an unknown lover here: http://www.luckymojo.com/lovespells.htm ... oneattract. Now instead of using a red candle, use white clothed candles of the appropriate gender and place below it your description of the person you're attracting. When you anoint the candle, use the Attraction, Lodestone or Magnet product line as suggested by brthrchristopher. Another good blend would be Attraction & Crown of Success.

Hi shanchu, as listed in the catalogue: ''For musicians and music fans who want a mojo bag that contains all those special things they sing about in the blues, we make a red flannel bag fixed with John the Conqueror Root, Lucky Hand Root, Lodestone, Black Cat charm, Rabbit Foot, Alligator Tooth, and many other items, dressed with New Orleans Style Fast Luck Oil. Ask for The Blues Boy Special.''

Loosely speaking, those items are for used for success, manual dexterity and good luck in musical endeavours as well as in life, depending on how you write up your petition.

You can read more about that specific hand in the following thread: blues-boy-special-mojo-hand-questions-a ... 1ccc64c5f4

I'm not entirely sure if this goes here. So if it doesn't, please feel free to move it.

I've been experiencing burnout and a lack of passion in writing for a few years now. Before that, I was an avid writer! It was one of my favorite things to do. To emerge myself in a world of my own creating. To discover and work with the characters that I had placed there. However, that was all I ever did. For hours on end. This was from my teens to early twenties. Eventually, my passion just evaporated. The world that I was so intrigued with just made me feel disdain and hatred towards it. As, I said it was all I ever did. I did take a break away from writing for a while but the burn out never really faded. I'm tired of feeling this burnout. I'm tired of being bored by my own creations and my world of fantasy. I want to feel passion for it again. Motivation. Inspiration! That thrill, those emotions that I used to get and feel when I would write. To just be able to emerge myself fully into that world. So I'm here, looking for a spell. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Good Evening, CuriousKate,
There are many things you can do. My first thought Is that you need to take a visit to the crossroads: www.luckymojo.com/crossroads.html
He's done wonders for artistic people.
There's even threads on the forum about crossroads: crossroads-and-crossroads-ritual-questi ... e15b727200
You might also want to try Clarity oil: /www.luckymojo.com/oil-clarity.html
It might help you realize where the writer's block came from.
Last, but not least, you may want to add a few visits to a counselor so that he/she can also help you with the psychological aspects of writer's block.
Wishing you the very best. And don't forget all of us when you become rich and famous!!
Take care

But doesn't he simply give a person skills or talents in what they wish to be better at? Can he renew a passion in a talent or a skill?

Salutations,

For the past month or so I have been developing increasing confidence in my spell work and most of the time I use it in the form of an aid to love ones, strangers and auras that call upon my mind, spirit and heart.

There is a friend who I know that's breaking into the music industry as a songwriter. He is also a talented graphic artist and works at a firm downtown in our city. While talking the other day, he confided in me that he wished he were better at decision making and also found himself to be quite indecisive, lacking confidence in the choices that he makes in life.

I found the need to help him or at least to give him a bit of a boost considering that he is in two competitive industries that are all about networking, the game of chance and placing yourself and ideas at the right given time and place. Nothing more would grant me happiness in seeing his dreams come true.

Thank you in advance!

Blessings,

Pink Moon

Hello, Pink Moon,
I believe that this is a confidence issue.
Nevertheless, here are a couple of threads that might help.
Also, I was looking at the webpage about the Lucky Mojo's Astrological Libra products and it talks about inability to make decisions (so you may want to look at that too )
Your friend may need these products: www.luckymojo.com/crucibleofcourage.html

influencing-someone-to-change-their-dec ... 19744.html
Hope this helps.

Hey!

After a long time working, I have a finished, polished fiction manuscript, and I'm about to start shopping for agents. If I wanted to give my queries a spiritual boost, what would you guys suggest? I'm querying both by email and snail mail, and money's no object...this book is my baby and has taken over a year to complete; I didn't scrimp on time and effort writing and revising it, so I'm not about to scrimp on the behind-the-scenes backup.

Side note: I did go to a local shop that ostensibly does rootwork, but the proprietress didn't seem intent on selling me anything. She talked my ear off for about a half an hour about self-publishing on Amazon, and I finally twisted her arm into suggesting a plain yellow candle and a piece of citrine, but that was it. (She often complains about sluggish sales, I wonder why?) So, anyway, I promise I've done a LOT of research and a lot of deliberating to determine if the traditional agent to publisher path is right for me. Really I'm looking for guidance on how I can enhance my chances with magic.

Thanks in advance!
I thank Saints Michael, Dymphna, Cecilia, Joseph, Benedict, Mary, and Muerte for their aid.

Hi there-- I'm also a writer (but films) and the first thing that comes to mind is maybe focusing on which particular agents you think might be the best fit and trying to somehow influence their thoughts so they pay attention to it when it arrives. Also an overall success spell on the piece itself. Just my two cents!

Hi LaMarquise,

A nice way to work the agents you will contact is a sugar jar into which you put their names, coordinates and business cards (if you have). In the sugar jar you can place a stick of cinnamon, a few allspice berries, a clove and a chunk of dragon's blood along with your petition. Every time you contact someone new, add their name and concerns (if you have them) to the jar. Shake it daily. You can also burn candles on it with Crown of Success and Look Me Over oils.

For the success spell on the venture itself which callmeladyluck suggested, a nice choice is the Crown of Success Spell Kit here: http://www.luckymojo.com/spell-crown-of-success.html

A dear young friend of mine is seeking a career as a singer songwriter. After a year of preparation and dedicated work she has finally recorded a demo CD that she feels proud of. She's almost ready to send it into a record label, but she asked me for help. She knows I've been dabbling in hoodoo for a few years now and she wanted some sort of magical backup to help her demo stand out. I was thinking about using a compelling or controlling oil on the head of the label, but that might be to strong. In my experience those types of oils can make some people rather standoffish towards you. Maybe a road opening spell would help. And anointing the CD with crown of success or another luck oil. I'm not sure.

Hi Ana,

I've merged your post into the existing thread on success in the artistic world. It contains a vast amount of works you can consider in the aid of your friend. A good combination of products for this type of thing is Look Me Over and I Can You Can't. A honey jar on the record label (with names if you can get them) is also helpful.

As a more general gift for your friend - the Blues Boy mojo hand is a favourite for musicians.

Blessings and Success.

Personally, I would do 9 days of baths. But this is just me.
When I do success spells, the number I work with is NINE.
Hope this helps.

I use success products and good job as well. I was wondering if there's anything I could use specifically for fame or like a fame/fortune/success type product.

Thanks
