I have been knowing my ex for ten months and when we first met everything was great. She was like the perfect girlfriend. We use to do all types of crazthings together. She even drove over 500 miles just to see me one weekend on our second week of knowing each other. As time went on i came to find out that she was changing. We started arguing a lot. One weekend we had a bad argument and broke up so i made a honey jar spell. My honey jar consist of honey, ginger, a petition paper with our names crossing nine times, and a pair of her worn panties which i tied in a not. On the petition paper i wrote love me do as i say around our names without picking the pen from the brown paper. I put the jar on the back of the stove and heat it up and then say my chat 9 times. It then started to work. She was doin almost everything i adked and we were happy. We still argued but we would come right back to eachother. Recently it has been different. She doesmt seem like the same person. So i then opened the jar and put a picture of her. She still was not acting the same. Its almost as if she has become very selfish and stubborn. I am now burning red candles on the jar and do everything else the same. I hadnt seen her in a month. She contacted me once and said she missed me but when i tried to come over she said she was sick and that upset me. I am now becoming worried because i want her back but i want her to be the same person she used to be, and not the selfish stubborn person. Should i do a new honey jar? I haveopened the jar about 5 different times does this make a difference? I dont want to control her but i want her to see things my way. I.want her to become more caring and do as i say from time to time. I also want her to not leave me and feel as if she cannot live without me. What should i do? HELP

ginuwine31707 ,

Perhaps you can get more answers from a reader at AIRR like Deacon Millett --

http://readersandrootworkers.og

-- or by reading this long Honey and Sugar spell thread (into which your post has been merged) from the beginning --

-- or do yourself a favour and order a copy of Deacon Millett's "Hoodoo Honey and Sugar Spells."

Candle question:

When we use a candle on a honey jar, does it have to burn out completely or can we mark it off and burn incrementally?

For example a 4" burned completely vs a 6" pinched off after about an hour.

Does the effectiveness change at all?

The books are usually "unveiled" at the Workshop Weekend in May and then put up for sale on the website shortly after that.

It is customary to let the candle burn out -- if you use a candle, but if you learn more about this type of work, you'll understand that the candle is only one of several options. Read this thread from the beginning for more information.

Ok, so my friend Has a rather self-defeating personality. It has become worse the last year or so, and its just sad to watch. I have talked with her about it, and well, she listens, but it doesn't stick.

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried a honey jar to sweeten ones outlook on themselves?

I'm thinking it would be to help her love herself more, and gain a bit of needed confidence...

Anyone have any experience with something similar? Any advice? Any kits here that apply to this particular problem?

Thanks :)

I have successfully used self-love honey jars a number of times, for several different situations. In your case, I'd look to Crown of Success, and maybe some Cast of Evil products, to get her away from her self-defeating thoughts and behaviors.

There are some recommendations for self-confidence, self-love, and self-acceptance honey jars in Deacon Millett's book "Hoodoo Honey and Sugar Spells." He even described one he uses himself, with Master Key Oil on the candle. Crown of Success was another one mentioned in the book.

I think I'll start a honey jar for myself too.
So, is Deacon Millet's book available for purchase, or is it just a pre-order for now?

Hello all,

I've got a number of questions regarding honey jars:

Can you take items out of honey jar and start a new one? Let's say if you wanted to change some of the ingredients or are unsure what the herbs were in the old jar.

If so, what do you do with the old honey? Can you put it in the new jar, or is fresh honey a better idea? Especially if the target is the same and you want the same outcome?

If adding cinnamon(powdered) or ginger(powdered) to the honey, is this best done into the honey itself, or in a packet?

Regarding personal concerns:
Is there any correlation as to what type of personal concerns will affect the target in what manner?
For example:
Hair - mental
Vaginal/Semen - sexual

Or is this a non issue as DNA is DNA?

If you are using a photo should they be two separate photos, one of the target and one of yourself, or will a photo of both parties together, let's say hugging or kissing, be better?

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering whether I can please have some help with a honey jar?

I have been seeing a man for the past 15 months. He is currently going through a separation but is still living in the family home due to the children. His wife has been unfaithful as has he, with me. Both of them have had their wedding rings off for 3 to 4 months and yet they haven't spoken in length yet about what they're going to do regarding the kids. It seems they are both going along waiting for the 'other' to make the move.

This has played a huge toll on me over the time and I've had readings saying he is going to sort things out soon and he has said his fear is leaving his kids as he's worried his wife may take them interstate. His wife plays all sorts of manipulative games and has told people she is seeing someone and doesn't care what her husband does.

The man and I have gone through many ups and downs and we both know we have something special.

The thing is, we had an almighty fight a few days ago. There were outside interferences and I became very emotional and I got really angry with him and it caused a big rift between us. We have spoken since and he said we can only be friends until he sorts his life out and he feels bad that he hadn't sorted things out before we got involved.

We work in the same place so I do see him regularly but we don't have a lot of time or opportunity to talk at work. I would love also, to include something to give him the courage to make the decision he wants to take. I'd also love his wife to be able to move on and find happiness with someone or the person she's seeing. Because I live overseas, I am waiting on some more products, as long as customs lets them through.

I know I need to start a honey jar as soon as possible. Tomorrow is Friday, so I'd like to start it then.

This is what I have so far.

I have 4" pink candles, reconciliation powder, crucible of courage oil and sachet powder, love me oil, catnip leaf, small matched pair of lodestones, magnetic sand, lotus root and deer's tongue leaf. I have some of his semen on a cotton pad, some of his hair, a tissue he blew his nose in. I'm thinking about making sugar syrup from raw sugar instead of honey. Just have a gut feeling it will work better for me.

I'm waiting for an order which includes stay with me oil, love me powder. By memory, I think I ordered John the Conqueror root and the Queen Elizabeth root and the love herb mixture but I don't believe I can wait for these products until I start my honey jar.

My question is, what do you suggest I put in my honey jar? And am I able to incorporate the crucible of courage and reconciliation products? And if I'd like to add more products when they come in, how do I do that without 'upsetting' the jar?

Thank you so much for your help.

Everything but the tissue can be used to great effect here.

Do not do this. If you make a syrup out of sugar and stick it in a jar with herbs and roots, its gonna ferment, or maybe grow a mold or a bit of fungus, but probably ferment. The build up of gasses from the fermentation will in turn break the jar. Use honey, or molasses or even plain sugar, it doesn't have to be liquid.

Floss71 wrote: My question is, what do you suggest I put in my honey jar?
Name the lodestones for the two of you,put your hair on the she stone and his on the he stone, feed them and place them in the center of a petition paper with your names crossing, around the names in an unbroken circle write something like "Happiness and love" Add a small pinch of Catnip and rose petals. Fold that up towards you. That's the petition packet you are going to put in the jar.
Floss71 wrote:And am I able to incorporate the crucible of courage and reconciliation products?
Of course, use them to dress the candles you burn on the jar.

So I have someone I want to work on, with a honey jar, and the personal concerns I have is a pair of his worn underwear, and a couple of napkins containing his sweat.

My questions is, I've heard name papers are traditionally the only thing in the jar, so how would I use the others?

Should they be laid underneath? Or just added to the jar as well?

I hope the new honey jar and sweet spells book I ordered from LM covers this sort of thing :)

Hi ozmalicious,

you can cut a small piece of the underwear and napkin and fold it into the name paper along with a love herb or two.

Hello I have a question, and please excuse how graphic this may get. I made a sweetening jar with the sugar and water instead of making a honey jar, just due to lack of money and I was desperately needing the magick to get going. Anyways I was burning candles on top of the jar for a while and trust me it was WORKING!! Now he is starting to get cold again and my question (first question) is should I start burning candles daily or go back to Mon, Wed, and Fridays and my last question which is pretty graphic is this... The other day we had sex and I was able to get his sperm on two napkins. I NEVER put any personal items of his in the jar, but instead I used a name paper with his name written 7 times down, and turned 1/4 to the right with my name written 9 times down over it. Now can I open the jar and add this personal item or should I leave the jar as is?? Also can anyone advise me on how to make him want to commit?

Hi TheBestest,

First of all, make sure your sugar water isn't fermenting or going mouldy. Either of those situations can affect the work. Keep in mind that you could just make a sugar jar without any water at all - it can just be sugar and the herbs, name paper and concerns and it will work just fine.

For the candle work, you can do some daily work until things start heating up again and then step the frequency down to 3x/week. And since you now have a personal item, definitely it can be added to the jar. I would suggest just using a small piece of the napkin and that way you'll have more concerns to work with for other spells.

To make him commit, combining Compelling or Commanding along with Love Me and Stay With Me can work well. You could also consider working a nation sack on the man which you can read more about in the following link and thread: http://www.luckymojo.com/nationsack.html & nation-sack-questions-and-answers-t7809 ... 085287dcc0

Blessings and success in your work.

Well the water looks a little weird and our name paper is sort of turn up in it but it doesn't look like its faded.

I'm sorry I don't know what fomenting means lol.

I mean in your opinion since it looks weird should I just make a new jar??

Hi TheBestest,

fermenting means that the sugar is turning to alcohol. if you smell the contents, you'll know if it's ''off''. another possibility is mold which you'll also easily smell. you're probably best off disposing of the old jar since it has no personal concerns and then crafting a new one with either pancake syrup, honey or just plain sugar and no liquid.

Ok I'll take a few more looks at it, and if it calls for that then disposed it will be! Thanks a lot :-)

All of the sugar jars I use are just sugar and herbs. I have found that the sugar water presents more problems then the plain sugar jar. SUgar water ferments and makes alcohol. This is not what you want. Best of luck with yours.

Yea I think on Wednesday I'm going to buy another jar and just make a syrup or honey jar. I soooo don't want the energies to completely go sour, and honestly this is the first love spell that I've done for myself that seems to be working! Do I use fresh natural syrup or can I get away with the artifical kind, and is Wednesday ok to start this jar on?

Hi,

I'm a little curious, you add all of the above dry herbs to a jar without any oils or can you eliminate a few herbs and use oils that serve the same purpose. Do you use honey in this jar being that it's a honey jar? or leave the oils out and just use the honey.

I started a honey jar on a guy who I've been sleeping with. I just want to get out of the friend zone. We are good friends but we both think we only want sex I don't although I act like I do, but I'm not sure what he wants so I'm doing this honey jar, but I feel like it's taking effect on me. I didn't use hair but I did use his semen and my own stuff too, mixed together and wrapped it in the paper where I wrote our names and put it in the honey. I put herbs too. I burn pink and red candles. Like I said I feel like I'm thinking about him literally 24/7 and it wasn't like this when I began the jar. Does it affect both of us? Or is it just in my head. I do feel we are becoming closer so maybe that's why I feel so much for him but maybe it's the jar? Thank you!

Ive been working a honey jar for the past month now and with the exception of the one pink candle dripping, all the candles have had no wax and left just a burnt wick at the end, going as far as to melt the wax from the previous candles down.

Should i take it as good signs they been burning that clear?

I have this happen as well. In my experience it is a good sign and shows continuous movement and thorough burning. That is just my off the cuff, quickie view. A worker who knew more about the work you were doing could interpret it better for you. Don;t be daunted by the pictures of huge wax buildup honey jars. I have had a jar going for years and it is just now got a good coating on it...and even that burns down from time to time.

Hi,
Sorry, I know this question has probably already been asked a million times, but so many posts I can't find the answer. I am gonna be starting a honey jar, however I do not have any personal effects. For one, my ex is bald so hair is out of the question, lol, and two we have been broken up for a couple weeks with no contact at all, so I have no other items. I.do have clothing, but it has been washed and I had been wearing them. I do have a photo of the both of us together though, so will this work just as good for the time being. I am thinking that maybe if the jar works enough to were he will agree to meet me, then I can most likkely get semen or some other personal effect. I am eager to start my jar, but don't wanna start if it will be a waste of time. I tried a come to me candle I bought from an occult shop, but not sure if it worked. Then tried a couple of love spells on my own, don't think they worked either as Iam not experienced yet with spell casting.

When doing a honey jar for court, can both parties be placed in the jar together since its the same situation. I have seen different answers on the thread.

Destiny --

I saw you question had not been answered. The jar is filled with sweet things (sugar, honey, or such). It is not filled with ehrbs or oils.

I suggest you buy and read this inexpensive, simple-to-use, and extremely instructive book:

Hey Y'all!!

I had a thought cross my mind, and I wanted to bounce it off you guys.

Would including a Bay Leaf inside the honey jar name paper keep it "undetectable"? I'm still working on my sister's court case, and we suspect that her ex might have hired some magical assistance.

Also, what is the significance (if any) of burning a candle on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday? I would imagine that there could be some planetary associations such as Monday (Moon) to subtly influence emotions, Wednesday (Mercury) to influence the mind, and Friday (Venus) to influence the heart. But, I'm wondering if there might be some other more traditional explanation.

Thanks & Happy Conjuring!! ^_^

Hi SilverDaniels,

you could add the bay leaf to the jar, but you could also keep the jar in a ring of bay leaves or put 4 around the jar (one in each corner) and that does the work as well. I prefer using them around as a ''barrier'' of sorts, but that's personal taste rather rule :)

To my knowledge, the Monday, Wednesday, Friday is a result of the planetary influences. However Miss Cat could confirm or deny that with certainty. For a court case matter, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday would be good choices.

Blessings.

Thanks Aura!!

I typically keep my honey jars (and other kinds of workings) in terracotta saucers which make it easier to put the set up away or move it while still keeping everything in tact in between working. So, arranging a barrier of Bay Leaves in the saucer won't be a problem at all. Would you suggest I dress the leaves in any particular oil?

I'm interested what Miss Cat might have to say about the days of the week. Thanks, also for the weekday suggestions for court case workings!!

With the Sweetest of Blessings to You,

S.D.

Hi SilverDaniels,

I don't dress the leaves with anything and it works fine. You could use Confusion oil as it keeps the enemy be-fuddled and unaware of what you're doing - but I'd use that oil on candles burnt in a triangle around the honey jar rather than as dressing for the bay leaves (which would be another way to keep your target unaware of what's going on).

Nice!! Thanks Aura. I always enjoy your input. :D

I like the candle idea. What I'm thinking is three black candles, dressed in Confusion oil, and rolled in a mixture of Poppy and Black Mustard seeds.

How deviously wonderful!! Lol

Well it's 4 am on Saturday morning. I was awaken out of a deep sleep (not alarmed just woke). Last night I did my regular ritual of placing my pink candle on my honey Jar. I've been working on this jar for about 2 months. As you can imagine the wax build up was becoming quite interesting on the jar and a bit down the sides(not much). I also burned a candle for healing on a separate platform about 1-2ft away from the jar.

To the point, When I awoke for no apparent reason I walked to my alter and put out my healing candle as I intend to light it a few more times and not do a complete burn (it's a large candle). While putting out the candles and saying my thank you's to the spirits I looked at my honey jar and everything, and I mean everything was GONE...You would not know looking at it that I had been burning candles on it for that long. I had to turn on the light and walk the house to ensure I was awake and not hallucinating.

Yup, after looking again (now I'm awake) all that is left is a small pile of "ash" no candle residue what so ever. I have gone through all the pages to see if this has happened to anyone else but either I'm looking over it or it hasn't been posted. Could someone tell me what sign this could be? I understand the clean burn and candle things as I have read many of Cats writings, but 2+ months of wax just disappearing? There was no smoke and no major fire cuz that I would have smelled (yes I have it in a safe location for those concerned). This has me baffled, Please help me understand......
May peace and love always find you,

Hi Thank you for your help but I didnt find the answer I was looking for.

When I dress my candle I take the "Love Me" Oil place it on my index finger and thumb and from top to bottom rub the oil on the candle. Is that the correct way ? Or am I suppose to place a few drops on the candle ?

Hi Domonique,
Usually what you've experienced happens when the work breaks through obstacles (the wax residue) leaving the honey jar's cover exposed. Physically, the wick of the candle you were burning, rather than falling into the pool of wax, stayed rigid enough to melt and consume all of the accumulated wax beneath. It can signify that there will be movement soon since the ''stuckness'' of your situation (and given the heavy wax residue one would assume that the going has been slow with the honey jar work) has been ''burnt through'' quite literally.

HappyxBlessed,
Usually when anointing a freestanding taper, a bit of oil is placed on the index finger and thumb and the candle is rubbed down, or up, or half each way. There are extensive Forum discussions on which method to use and each method is used by at least one practitioner I know with success. So which is best for you? You tell me. There is no ''correct'' direction, each one can be OK insolong as you know WHY you are working that way. If you are fairly new to candle work, you should seriously consider purchasing Henry Gamache's Guide to Candle Burning as well as Miss Cat's Book on Hoodoo Candle Magic. Both are excellent references!

Aura,

Thanks so much for the response (Waiting to ex hail lol). It fascinated me as this has never happened. Well a clean burn with no residue has but this jar has been(as is evident) a challenge. I almost gave up on it but decided to keep going. Friday night I thought would be my last night, my last candle for this particular jar. After reviewing what you said and thinking on all the challenges me and this person have had over the years it is good to know my prayers have not gone unheard. Thank you again for your incite on the subject.

Hi Domonique,

do let us know how things develop from this point forth in the work. It will be interesting for you to observe if the continuing burns are clean or not and if there is a corresponding breakthrough in the situation specifically. Blessings to you and Success in your Work.

i made a honeyjar for my gf i actually never lit any candles on top of it as it started working fine within a week we started chit chatting again
i lit a white 6" candle on top of the honey jar before and burned clean there was maybe a tiny wax puddle the size of a dime maybe
but recently things started acting up with us fighting like everyday so last friday i lit a 6" red candle as i cant leave huge candle burning for a long time
on my candle i put our names together hers being on the bottom and mine on top and a heart at the very top about half way through the burn black smoke came out
and the wax started dropping like crazy forming i guess "tears" any clue on what this represents? thank guys in advance for any help

Hi edokassiah,

the signs you described are pretty classing and their meaning is discussed in the page on candle divination here: http://www.luckymojo.com/candlemagicdivination.html

Consider stepping up your candle burns to 3x per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Burn a white candle on Mondays with Tranquility and Chupparosa oil; a Blue candle on Wednesday with Mercury Oil and Stay With Me oil - add a bit of deer's tongue powder to fix the candle if you have it; and a red or pink candle on Fridays with Fire of Love. This may help smooth things out given a bit of time.

Blessings,

When you said you buried it, are you referring to burying the candle that was blown out or you buried the entire honey jar?

Dear Doghouse,

No you will be fine. I suppose we could take some meaning from this, but having been a rootworker with kids, they just do this. *laughs* You did the right thing, tho I'm not sure you needed to bury it, but the prayer and relighting a new candle on the jar will do the trick.

Aura, I sure will. I am anxious to see what manifests when he returns from a long trip. I continue to burn my candles. 2 out of 3 have burned clean with no residue but the 3rd on left residue but no spill over on the jar. I almost feel like I'm holding my breathe. Thanks for your blessings. :)

Okay so read all 121 pages on this topic and did not see anything about my question. I also read Cats page on candle signs. But I have started a honey jar two days ago. My first day I lit a pink voite candle dressed with reconcile and love me oils. Well it burned clean on top of the jar but I ran a lot down the sides and made a Penis and balls shape. Now the second candle that I lit also ran a lot of wax down the sides but not so much on the lid and it formed a few small hearts. Any ideas on any of this?

Axle1988: Those both seem like pretty strong and good, clear signs. Is the Honey Jar being worked on a man? Have you had sexual relations with him, yet? Do you want to in the future? Without knowing a good deal about your particular situation it will be hard to chime in on what your specific signs mean. Keep it up, as it seems to be working quite nicely, given the information provided.

Yes Joseph it is for my husband.

We have had relations about a week or more ago. I am trying to sweeten him so we can get along better. Conjureman gave me a reading and told me to start one on my husband. I think these are good signs.

I lit a third pink candle on the honey jar today and there was about two small heart shapes around the sides of the jar. There is a like ring of wax around the top of the jar, on lid in like a perfect circle. O don't know if this is cause the candles were kind of big or what.

I am going to burn pink and maybe red birthday candles on the top of the jar. My husband does seem to want to talk to me more and things like that. We recently went to the movies with a friend of ours and I didn't sit next to him but after the movie before we left we were all talking and he was staring into my eyes when he was talking to me. He keeps giving me lots of eye contact. I do have confidence in my work.

I know honey jars take sometime to first start to work but I'm glad with everything so far.

I also see his forst and last name a lot, but really never together. I also seen a heart on my bbq grill that was made after it rqined. I am new at this but I do pore all my heart into my work.
