Do we get notified when our vigil candle has been lit? I ordered one today and I have been checking my email like crazy lol....
Also, how do we know who lit it and prayed over it for us?

no you do not get a notification when the candle is lit. You do receive a report. The services of the MISC are really great. I have seen them in person

Your order is your confirmation. The candles are generally lit within 24 hours -- or at most 48 hours if received late n the day. Then they burn for a number of days (which varies greatly based on so many variables i cannot begin to list them all) and then the candle is removed from the altar and a candle server reads the traces left in the glass and emails it to you.

If you have not received your candle report three weeks after you rdered, something is wrong. You may have an email filter blocking our mail, for instance. PLEASE contact the church and ask t speak to a deacon.

How long does it take to get a candle "set on your altar" done?

So it notifies on the traces left in the glass, what does the traces tell? Is it a prediction on the future outcome? For instance, I ordered a candle serve to seperate a couple. After the candle is done and the traces are seen, will it predict if the couple will break up soon or give me information. I would really appreciate an answer to this question. For the past several years I have had minor OCD. This makes candle magick difficult. If I have candles lit for me by MISC will the thoughts I have alter the effects of the candle or does the fact that it is being done by someone else cancel that out?

The thoughts are as most OCD thoughts are: illogical, yet my mind treats them as real threats. Somehow the fear got started that the candle would not work or that it would work against the goal.

Are my fears able to effect the effects of the candles lit by MISC?

This is a candle for aid in communication between a girl.

Hi TheNewGuy,

your thoughts will affect the outcome, no matter who lights the candle for you. That said, there are a number of techniques you can use to help calm your mind and let the work do its thing.

Tranquility and King Solomon Wisdom baths are both excellent to take regularly and adding a pinch of the dissolved crystals to your laundry water and body wash can help carry the work on a more continuous basis. Also consider keeping a John the Conqueror pocket piece to give you strength and success over your OCD and a physical reminder to hold when you start over-thinking or thinking in a rut.

You could also consider some of the CBT techniques which are really helpful for ''re-programming'' thought patterns and behavioural habits. In conjunction with conjure, the combo could benefit your goals overall as well as the candle work specifically.

Here's the thing though, because the thoughts aren't necessarily direct as in they say something specific will or won't happen, it is just a feeling of ominousness if that makes sense. It isn't exactly that the magick will or won't work. Does that make a difference? It's very difficult to pinpoint. But I am being treated by normal means such as medications by the way.

I do understand what you're saying about a general ominousness rather than a specific thought, it will still have the same effect if it becomes a recurrent mind-set. If you are being treated and the medications are working well, then in conjunction with that medical help, the Tranquility Baths and Crucible of Courage are the way to go. A custom Blessing mojo might also be a good choice.

Whenever you are having those dark moments, it can also be helpful to write ''ominous thoughts'' on a paper, fold the paper away from you and then destroy it by fire, throw it into a river or drop it into a crossroads and don't look back.

I'd let the candle do its work while you work on calming your mind TheNewGuy. Let the burn finish, then wait a few days for signs. If you don't get any, then have another candle set while continuing the mind-calming baths and oils.

Hi there,

I am running into some problems placing three orders for candles that I would like to have set on the MISC altar.
One of the candles is crucible of courage and when I click the add to cart link provided here http://www.luckymojo.com/crucibleofcourage.html
I am instead charged for Allspice berries $3.00 and candles $18.00. Also the function adds $10.00 to the cart when I am not shipping. Also some of the candle links on the missionary site do not work. I am a little confused with the $10.00 shipping on candles set at the church and was wondering if the money is refunded. I have tried emailing - but there has been no replies to any of my emails. I live half way across the globe and time difference is 15 hours to coordinate a call.

Would be most obliged if someone could shed some light

If its been a few weeks since my candles would have finished and I didn't get a report yet, is it ok to call the shop and make sure the email didn't get lost or something? I only ask because I saw a facebook post a few days ago that reports were up to date. Just hoping I wasn't forgotten by mistake or the email was deleted in my spam by mistake.

If you have not received your report, do call the church. Candle reports go out via email in 24 - 48 hours after the candles finish burning and are removed from the altar. The average candle burn is 5 days, but some do go out and need to be re-lit, which will add time to them, but "a few weeks"? No, that is not possible.

As for being "forgotten," that is highly unlikely, as each candle request is on a paper invoice, and the paper invoices are handled daily as the reports are sent. Only when the report is sent does the paper invoice get moved from the physical location of the "in-progress" file to the physical location of the "completed" file.

More likely is that there was a mail delivery system error of some kind. Perhaps your email address was inaccurate or changed, perhaps your email bounced because you have an email filter that deletes "non-white-listed" senders, or perhaps there was an error in our sending system. In any case, all of the emails are in our database and can easily be RE-SENT if you ask.

Should I set Uncrosssing and Blessing together before I set some money drawing work at the alters?

2) which should I add the marriage to?

3) would it be good to add st. Martha to the marriage if so where would she go?

I know that the rest were set on Tuesday and all were set at the same time as for the sequence in sets I don't know but I felt very comfortable talking to the lady that set them.

4) on another note can you tell me if it's too late to make a pledge to st expedite if my candle has been lit and how do I give him the pound cake as that wasn't exactly clarified in either of the material I've read so far.

1) You can certainly do that.The addition of Saint Expedite to a Cut and Clear is a great idea, and you should explain that you want the Saint Expedite to hasten the Cut and Clear, so they will burn them side-by-side.

2) Essence of Bend-Over is a traditional hoodoo candle to addd to a Mariage candle as a helper light if you want more power and rulership over the marriage.

3) Saint Martha is an excellent candle to add to a Marriage candle if you are a Catholic and like to work with her and you want more power and rulership over the marriage.

4) No, go ahead and make your vow to Saint Expedite and purchase (or bake) some pound cake now. When the candle is finished, you will get a candle report. If it looks clean and cear and you feel that the work is being accomplished to your satisfaction, then pay him with the pound cake.By the way, pound cake freezes well and keeps for about a year, so you can cut up small slices as you work with Saint Expedite.

I am curious about my candle report that I received. In addition to working on my honey jar and other things that my worker suggested, I had a reconciliation candle burned at MISC. The report stated:

I can't afford a reading to delve in deeper into the report and I've had positive and negative signs which coincides with not only the report but a prior reading as well mostly about the obstacles and barriers.

My question is with that information what am I to do now?

What should the next step be?

Thank you for your feedback. May it be possible to help me understand another situation as well:

I have been working with Miss Elvrya regarding a love/reconciliation issue. Since our first reading she informed me to begin a honey jar which has been going good but took a turn for bad today. She informed me to wait 4 days, 4 weeks, or 4 months. But I've noticed things have been occurring in 3's for me. After the 3rd day of my work, I had a dream about my ex that was very vivid regarding the outcome that I am working towards. After 3 weeks, I received a work phone call from an individual with the same first name (which is a semi-common name) and exact occupation as my ex, and I'm currently entering week 4.

With all the positive signs there was a negative encounter as I initiated my first attempt at communication with him today. Surprisingly I took the negative quite well and I guess it was to be expected due to receiving a candle report which in part stated "there are obstacles that are creating a barrier to open dialog that will need to be removed."

I've been burning the candles on the side of the jar in a holder due to the fact that where I live there have been several earthquakes and I didn't want to take the risk of anything falling over. On Friday, for the first time, the previous candles wax was completely burned away leaving no remnants of the weeks or day's candle. Today, the wax build-up was stuck to the side of the honey jar and there are pieces of wax that are neither stuck to the candle holder or the jar. To paint a clearer picture the wax looks like a water fall with the wax from the bottom shooting up towards the sky like an upside down teardrop I guess.

My question in regards to the honey jar are 1) am I altering the work or it's progress by not lighting the candles on top of the jar, and 2) should I be discouraged by the negative reaction that I encountered today or keep in mind that there has been more positive signs than negative and that it will take more time while working towards reconciliation. I only took to the forum today because I cannot afford another reading for a few months and am curious to receive some feedback.

You cannot expect us to give you free readings on top of your MISC readings or to give you free readings about the work you are doing under the guidance of Miss Elvyra.

You say that you cannot afford a reading, but in truth a ten minute / ten dollar reading by an AIRR member is cheaper than burning another candle. I recommend it, as you seem unsettled in mind and may need a quick check-in. See the thread on AIRR members who do ten-minute / ten dollar readings. Miss Elvyra is one of those who perform ten dollar / ten minute readings, by the way!

I'm sorry but your candle report cannot be interpreted because the candle report IS the interpretation of your candle burn. In other words, we cannot interpret an interpretation. If the wording is unclear to you, try calling the church and asking someone to explain. It looked pretty straightforward to me, though. A reading may be a good idea for you. Check out the AIRR readers wo do ten-minute readings. Try one of the readers from the church, such as Miss Elvyra or me (Miss cat).

This is more to do with Missionary Independent but I had a Road Opener done to get me a 10 dollar or more paying job, preferabley with the local drawbridges.

Now what's happened is I got promoted at my job and am making $9.00 an hour now. This isn't exactly what I wanted but trust me you do not hear me complaining. The position will look nice on my resume and due to the position I'm all but guaranteed a bonus every quarter and other honors (also good for the resume)!

So yes thank you Lucky Mojo! May not be what I wanted but it is just what I needed.

Thank you Misc for my Miracle Healing candle service. My son had a successful removal of his tonsils and adenoids. He was back to his normal self three days later when they told me it would take a week. The doctor mentioned that the surgery was unusually easier than most because his tonsils were extra large and visible that day. My son never had a problem with large tonsils!

Questions regarding the issue of clarifying MISC candle burn reports seem to encompass a good majority of the Private Messages I get from Forum Users. I do not work at Lucky Mojo, nor do I light candles for MISC, nor was I present for the burn or witness to the after-sight of the candle glass for divination. Please understand that randomly asking me to divine the outcome of your candle burn will not be successful. Take Miss cat's above advice and:

ladydawn, there are no candle reports waiting to be sent from three months ago. Obviously something has gone wrong.

Please contact the church and they will straighten it out, whatever the problem may be.

The candle burning service is one of THE best things I've seen. Right now I have a massive issue and have just started the first of three candle spells to deal with it.

I love this service, no questions, no lectures just tell my issue give the cash and it is handled ( Like all prayers it may not be answered as I like but it has yet to truly fail me!)

I've used the service many times over the past few years and I cannot recommend using it highly enough, it's always my first port of call.

Don't let the price fool you because this service is extremely effective, I have used it to find new love and a steady job after 4yrs of looking, 2 weeks after receiving the candle report I got an interview for a job and beat close to 100 applicants, even though I had no experience at all in the job!

I'll use MISC candle service for as long as I'm able, and I strongly recommend those who have not yet tried it to go for it, you'll be surprised!

Hi everyone! So, I'm not sure if this fits in or not, but I just thought it was really interesting! Ok, so, I bought a ROAD OPENER CANDLE, to be burned at the chapel's alter for myself, as I wanted to use the time until my order arrived to its full, to open my life and generally relieve me of bad luck. I did it yesterday. So, I got my receipt, but no kinda "oh, it's burning now," or "it's up and ready to go," which I wasn't expecting anyway. So, I'm not actually sure the candle was lit when this happened, but I'd definitely taken the time to state my intents and wishes while making my petition, which focused my expectations into eight or nine lines of very BOLD script! So, just went on Facebook to find that a guy I truly liked is moving to Korea. The exact date, I have no clue, but from the looks of things, he's getting the HELL outta dodge in the near future! Now, this guy is truly beautiful, and the crush I had on him was an all encompassing mighty SPLURGE of energy. I'll like him a full two years in March - which is the month he mentioned he'd be leaving. Weird... This guy is .... ugh, I am going to lie on my deathbed, look my true love straight in the eye and say "you're no whats-his-name." Think German, think feminine features, think GOOD GOD! The crush turned my world upside down, and it made each day exciting and hectic, leaving no room for the reasonable thought that this guy was, in fact, straight, and had a girlfriend. These two years have been waking to thoughts of him - just little "I wonder how he's doing," or "if anyone he meets ever reminds him of me" or "if anyone tells him a story I told him once" - and falling asleep to him as well. I just think its weird that I look at his page - even though I do ... often - to find him leaving the country, right after I ask better things to come into my life - namely, a job in Galway City, where he currently lives.
I'm also not going to lie - I had fully intended to work a few tricks on him, to test the waters to see if he was entirely devoted to his sexuality. Nothing cruel, just a little persuasion to look for different things. If doggy collars and myself factored in, I think that's really his own prerogative...
Seeing people wishing him goodbye and organizing his going away party, it was uncomfortable, and I did have a little shortness of breath, but I kinda thought, "Is this it? Am I, like, free now? Has this guy been holding me back?" I confess - I have actually admitted to my friend that I would prefer to spend a night talking to this German guy, than spend a night kissing and,or getting jiggy with any of my other crushes. When I crush, I crush for life, so it seems.
I also had the urge to make my first post on this forum, telling people what had happened, and maybe getting a little feedback. I don't know whether to forget him a little each day, or will him to stay. Its never clear-cut with this guy - he's just too beautiful. TOO BEAUTIFUL FOR KOREA!

The Candle Service will burn a vigil candle(s) on your behalf. All you do is select the type of vigil and provide your petition. When the candle is done you will receive an email report on how the candle burns. All of this information and more can be found on the Candle Servce Page. The candle report is written and emailed to you and then the candle glass is recycled. The candle servers --:Lou, Katrina, and Elvyra -- only rarely post here at the forum.

You can schedule a ten minute (ten dollar) reading with either Lou or Elvyra if you tell them in advance to hold your candle after sending you the report, so that you can call in and discuss it and what further opinions they may have or further spellwork they may recommend to you. But do schedule this in advance, or it will not be possible.

2) if i intend to order the labelled vigil candles, instead of the plain vigil candles, my information and petition will still be private right? then what is the difference between the 2? i want to order the labelled ones for their intended purpose, but i want my personal information to be strictly private.. can it be done?

3) i had a intranquility candle set and the report wasn't very positive, so i intend to have another one set. But i was wondering, what effect does it have if i set many many intranquility candles? Do the effects pile up and make my intent more likely to happen? i.e the more you set the more likely it will happen? or? Im not sure how it works

4) If i order 3 candles, will they be set at the same time or separately? because i have had 2 other candles set but have not received the report yet. only the intranquility candle.

Hi redcase1,

1) Petition papers are usually taped to the candle, folded, with the writing facing inward so that it can't be read - unless you have asked for something different when ordering the candle lighting service. Visitors to the shop also don't make a habit of reading and manipulating MISC set candles so you needn't worry. Whichever option you chose, plain or labelled, your information will still be treated with the utmost care and respect as with all clients of Lucky Mojo.

I placed an order for synchronized setting of vigil candles but I don't know if you guys write the petition paper as-is based on what I mention in message area or if you write it based on what I describe so I gave a little background and then I wrote my petition and even though the message area on the order page took everything while I was typing, the message was truncated, without erroring out about message space restriction, once the order was submitted, I could see that the entire message was not transmitted.

So, just so you will have the entire message, I sent an email with order number, and the actual message that I put in the original message area (background, petition, names and DOBs) along with photo to order@luckymojo.com

Please let me know if you can associate the petition with the order if it was sent separately like I did.

Hi Newbie! You have asked some very good questions. When you send an order to have lights set, the request is not sent to here to The Lucky Mojo Forum.

We also give out kind advice, that may be close to the heart, or may have life experience attached or a spiritul message -- or all three combined.

You ought to have sent your message to the church, not to Lucky Mojo. so unless you kept a copy and can resend it to the church, you are going to have to email the Shop regarding your question, because we can not see it.

I wasn't sending any information about the petition. I was also not asking to associate it to my order from here.
I sent all the information again to the email mentioned in my previous post which i believe belongs to the shop.

I wrote to see if anybody knows if information sent like this (via email) be associated to the order...u know.. out of their own experience..

Should I ask for a specific person when I request candle set on your altar? or is the candle setter automatically assigned?

I do not know any candle setters so I am okay either way.

I shopped the usual way and added one candle to be set by MISC and one to send to me (by adding to the cart) along with adding a few more things to my cart.

I requested a synchronized setting.

I called the shop today and they said it will be a while before my fixed candle can be shipped but they can well before that set candle on altar for me and I can set mine after I receive my candle.

I hope that is okay.

I believe he said Katrina is going to set candle for me.

When you order a light at MISC, you should ask for your church candle to be "HELD FOR SIMULTANEOUS SETTING" and then call the church when you receive your candle in the mail. That's all there is to it, and hundreds of people do this successfully every year.

If you have requested a synchroniized setting of lights and are concerned that your request was not understood, please contact the church's candle servers. Their email is candles@missionaryindependent.org -- and they will handle it.
