Hello folks! My name is Alex. I'm 32, a high school English teacher, a plant dad, a cat dad, and many other things! I'm really happy to be here.

I grew up in a typical US Christian-adjacent home with Christian-adjacent parents. Around 26, I got pulled into Kemeticism by Set, and still worship Set, Osiris, Amun-Banebdjedet, Horus, Wepwawet, and other Netjeru, on occasion. I also venerate Santa Muerte, but She is a really recent addition!

A bookstore near me had a talk one night about "Appalachian Ghostbusting", and that's what got me interested in American folk tales, folk magic, and folk religion. I'm currently in the "gobbling up all the knowledge I possibly can" stage, and have books ready to buy in my cart as soon as my meager salary will reasonably allow me to do so!
