Im Eavan. Ive been jumping around this forum for a bit now and I figured it was time to join.
I am new to hoodoo. Actually, I had no idea hoodoo existed until a little bit ago! Once I got more into it, I realized I felt that this is where I belonged. It took some sorting for me to figure out the differences with hoodoo and voodoo and Santeria (with which I am most familiar). Finally stumbling across Cat Ys explanation on her Hoodoo history page, helped immensely. I am hispanic and have a catholic/pentecostal background and while no one (that I know of) actively practiced Santeria, my grandmother was always lighting her saint candles and leaving offerings for favors. Yet, I was always told to leave the brujeria alone. Lol.
I hope to eventually enroll in the Correspondence Course, just have to make the necessary purchases first! I am most interesting in healing and helping people, as it has to do with what I do in my everyday life.
