I just received an email report and I'm quite happy with the interpretation. It was read by Gracie. I look forward to setting more candles with MISC in the future. :D I actually prefer to have my candles set by them from now on instead of setting them myself. I definitely reccomend it.

Hello All,

I wanted to post a "Thank You" to LM and the wonderful ladies at the shop who placed my candles on the altar at MISC. I truly appreciate this service, and it has been such a comfort to me. While it too early to see the results, I can feel a shift; and I know as I continue to do the internal work, the positive candle reports I received will manifest soon. Frankly, I know my petitions are manifesting right now!

In any case - I think it is wonderful to have people that can and will pray on my behalf. Many thanks to Nicole and Gracie for their efforts...and much love and gratitute to Ms. Cat, whose vision makes it all possible.

I had a light set in the church a few months ago - a road opener candle set for my parents. They were dealing with a lot -- dealing with my grandmother's affairs and her declining health, selling their home, tax audits, you name it.

The candle service went well and I received a very prompt candle report from Deacon Nicole and the candle signs were read by Elvyra in January.

Well my grandmother has been placed in a very wonderful assisted living facility; her financial affairs are being wrapped up smoothly.

The tax audit went off without a hitch...

And my parents just sold their home and entered into escrow, and found a renter for their new home for the exact amount of time we need to complete the escrow here.

Everything is going PERFECT for them and I couldn't be happier!!

THANK YOU, Missionary Independent Siritual Church, Nicole, and Elvyra!

You all are wonderful people and I thank God every day that I came to know you all!

Blessings,
Stacy

Thank-you to Deacon Nicole, she has tirelessly set candles for a situation I have had and I am pleased to say her candles are doing an amazing job! :) Deacon Nicole is kind, loving, patient and understanding of your situation whatever it may be. I can't begin to say how grateful I am to her for her genuine concern and care. This is a beautiful being that my daughter and I hold in high regard. I praise her to anyone who needs specific candles set, dressed, fixed, prayed over and lit for their situation. Love & Blessings to Deacon Nicole and to all the Spiritual workers at the Church! Thank-you! Thank-you!

This seemed like the most appropriate place to post this, but if not I apologise.

I would just like to offer a massive, heartfelt thank you to Sister Robin for her kindness and patience on the phone this morning.

I had had an incident in which I had dropped and broken my bottle of Chinese Floorwash, with about a quarter of its nearly full contents spilling onto my legs. Due to the more pressing issue of broken glass which needed cleaning, it was about 5 mins before I was able to wash the product off of myself. Now as I have semi-severe OCD, I naturally was terrified that perhaps I'd been poisoned. So I was near on having a panic attack, when I called the wonderful team at Lucky Mojo and was referred to Sister Robin.

Her kind reassurance was an immense help, and I sincerely thank her for her time and advice. This is yet another reason for why I continue to support Cat and her wonderful team at Lucky Mojo

Many blessings!

Bec

I have nothing but praise for Nicole! She is amazing! She truly cares about your situation, she doesn't half listen and then blow you off like a lot of rootworkers or "psychics" do, Nicole is the real deal. As far as time goes, one has to be patient, I had her do some work for me on behalf of my daughter, and it seemed like nothing was happening. But one has to remember the other side is on its time frame, not ours. After being patient and praying myself, and lighting candles, I suddenly recieved candle reports from Nicole.Reports that had to be from the other side because I did not tell her the entire story. In fact, story didn't seem to matter to Nicole, only the joy of helping my daughter get through a very tough situation. I am grateful to Nicole, and I will never forget her compassion, the loving manner in which she spoke to me, and her intuitive understanding of me as a concerned mother and my daughter who was going through the situation. I have never met anyone like Nicole, Nicole is an angel. Miss Cat surrounds herself with angels of love and light. I am so thankful to Miss Cat for Deacon Nicole and for the people Miss Cat handpicks to work with the public. Thank-you Miss Cat, and thank-you Dear Nicole. Love & Peace & honor & great respect,
Susan # 1632.

You can write your petition in the instructions or message area of your order. Your confirmation is your payment. Once the candle is burnt out you'll receive a report on the burn.

I did not tell that i want it set to a special day, as i will not send any photot of the target.
I wrote to set it right away =) when time is to it

That means that my candle was set yesterday, i think. An intranquil candle.

How long does this kind of candle burn?

Amilo,

They generally set the candle with a day or two of the purchase. Candles burn vary for a variety of reasons. You'll know how long it took to burn when you get the report as it states it.

I recently had a Boss Fix candle set for me in the church for a very important meeting with my boss and another manager. At the place where I work they don't often give you a lot of details about meetings, so I was pretty nervous, especially as they tend to be one-on-ones, not two-on-ones.

The meeting ended up rescheduled multiple times, so I had a second candle set as well (and finally they stopped rescheduling it).

The meeting, when it finally happened, went great. It actually turned out to be over something quite minor and I was able to express a concern I had over something else which was generally received ok.

I know having the candles blessed, prayed over, and lit in the church while the meeting was happening helped me with extra confidence. :)

I got the first candle report from Nicole and she described the meeting's outcome to a T. The candle was a great predictor. The second candle had a great burn as well. I highly recommend this service.

Backing up work is not mandatory, it is a personal choice, I have had success both ways. However, you can wear the oils and/or dress the candle(s) and burn at home. You can certainly work a honey jar, is this to draw a person to you?

I have a candle being burned at Missionary Independent Spiritual CHurch for 3 or 4 days

it's a chupparosa candle with mercury oil and deer's tongue for truth and honesty in speech, because altough my situation seemed to be evolving there was no emotional talk, nothing.

Out of nowhere it came, but unfortunately we had a long talk about how he really likes me as a friend and met a girl that he liked and expected me to be excited for him

I guess I need more candles but I am really surprised that this happened so fast!

I just got my report and actually this conversation happened exactly 3 days after the candle was burned
I'm really surprised and happy with the divination  This was just the light fog at the beginning

thank you Carin :)

Update on the candle servers: Grace, who had worked here several years ago, moved away, and then came back on a temporary basis, has again moved on. We will miss her, but in her place we have ANOTHER returning veteran candle worker, Carin. Carin has worked for us off and on for many years, and, like Grace, has moved away from our area and returned. We are very pleased to have her back as a candle servier, for three days a week, overlapping with Nicole.

For those who know our jewelry and pendulum lines, Carin is also the proprietor of Daffodil Designs and we carry her hand-made chakra pendulums and other goods in the shop.

I just wanted to say Thank you to Nicole and Carin for setting candles for me in church and for the candle reports. Although I have some obstacles to get through for my situations, I feel more confident and at ease because I know the church, the deacons, and the members are there to help and pray for me. Thank you again!

I have a question. There have been times when I've had candles lit and gotten a less than ideal burn and was told that it was recommended to light another candle to strengthen the work. I also know on the page it has where you can order a number of candles at one time to be burned in succession (i.e. order three candles and they are all dressed and prayed over and when one goes out, the next is lit so that there is a continuous stream of energy being directed to your situation/target). Is one more effective than the other? Is it more effective to order one candle, then another than another or just the steady stream of three from the start (assuming I'm going to be burning three candles either way)?

It's completely dependent on the situation - there's no one stock answer to that question. Certainly if a candle shows resistance, then continuing the work through another candle would make sense (or continuing to address the situation on some way, anyway). However, in some cases a run of candles may not be necessary - so jumping right to that on the idea that it will be more effective is not accurate.

Talk with your reader about what would be best in any specific case.

That question, Kevin, is entirely based on what you are trying to do. What magical work that is required is contingent upon how great a change you are attempting.

Some things require a nudge and so a single candle can be immensly powerful and for other things you may need something more involved, or a series of candles that build power to the point of bringing about the change.

A big thank you to everyone at the Missionary Independent Spiritual Church for setting a Crown of Success vigil candle to help me through a very challenging job situation. Knowing that you lovely people were praying and fighting my corner was a tremendous help. Thank you so much for all your support - and for the fortunate outcome! xxx

Hi All,
Please could someone tell me what the Top and Bottom in candle divination report means. I had candle set by the very kind and very patient Ms Elvyra after I had a reading. Ms Elvyra was very to the point and made me feel that I need not worry. I have had my report, but do not want to trouble her by asking if the top refers to past or future/present etc.

Thank you.

Hi, Loripots --

Candle divination is an art, not a set of rules, so it's not quite as simple as "asking if the top refers to past or future/present etc." I can give you a couple of examples, though: A candle burns from the top down, so a glass showing light grey smoke at the top but a clear bottom half means delays or obstacles but eventual success, while a glass filled with deposits of black soot from top to bottom holds little promise for future success. Likewise, a ring of unburned wax that is left at the bottom means that past events or conditions are held over and will influence future events.

I had purchased the Holy Hands card because I wanted to pray that my friend who was recently sent to Prison (parole violation) would stay safe. He was released unharmed in any way and I wanted to know what do I give as a thank you for keeping my friend safe?

Thank you,

I sent in a petition less than three days ago, and I wasn't sure what the procedure was. When I received my paypal reciept, I forwarded that along with my petition to the e-mail address of the church. Hopefully that was OK.

Reading this thread I now understand what the timeframe is for requests. Actually I am not too worried about the exact timing of the candle or the report, I just wasn't sure if that was the correct way to send in the petition.

At any rate, I saw distinct movement on my issue almost immediately after I hit the paypal button and before I could even write out my petition...:)

Hi, CCS --

The best way to handle the petition process is to include the petition in the message area of your order. There are actually two opportunities to do this as you work your way through the checkout process.

Fun facts:

You may ask us to keep a petition on file for re-use at any time.

If you include the full name and birthdate of the person whom you wish to influence, we can work with better intent and focus on your behalf. We will keep the name and birthdate on file if you request.

Petitions should be 200 words or less, as we read them over the candles and can't read an entire "novella."

If you want photos attached to your candle, send them separately to photos@missionaryindependent.org

I've been sending the photos to cgurch@missionaryindependent.org. Nobody has ever said anything otherwise, so I'm assuming there was never any problem and those pictures were attached to my candles?

Basically, what I did was in the message area of the order, I left a note that the petition would be sent via email. The email was sent to the order address with the petition, full names and birthdates of the people involved and the pictures attached.

In the future, I will do it exactly as you spelled out, but I didn't know what the limit was for the length of a message included with the order. And no, I didn't type out any novellas lol. Just 2 or three sentences. Actually, I'm anal retentive enough to check my last petition - it was 37 words. But between that and the full first, middle and last names and birthdates of a couple people, I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't get cut off.

If it is near to impossible to do Spell Work at home (I have nosey roommates), would having candles set at the Church be enough?

That depends utterly and completely on you and your situation. Some problems can be addressed solely through candle work with great success via the burning of one or more candles by a competent worker, others tho... Others will require different forms work such as baths, lodestone ritual, moving candle spells, sneaky tricks, or container spells, just to name a few.

That said, it certainly won't hurt to have candles burnt for you at MISC, and since the candle is read after it has burnt down this can be a valuable diagnostic tool.

I had my report emailed. I don't think it would be a problem.

Hi, Kmew,

Sending petitions to church@missionaryindependent.org when ordering online is not a good idea as the petition space is right in the order form. It makes a lot more work for us, trying to match up the petitions to the church orders. I'll explain the procedures:

The email church@missionaryindependent.org goes to our church pastors and deacons. However, because, like any business, we get so much spam, the office email is pre-filtered three times -- by a proprietary spam-filtering service in San Francisco, by an automated email-flagging service at our internet service provider in Santa Rosa, and by a unix-based filter set up by the the LMCCo co-owner (and my darling husband and mate) nagasiva here in Forestville. Only after those steps does it go into our church account's directory structure, from which the deacon downloads mail. This is done 5 - 7 days a week, about twice or three times per day.

The deacon downloads dozens of emails at a time. She has a choice then: She can either print out those that contain petitions and other material relating to orders and hand-walk them over to the relevant candle servers -- or she can forward them to the church's photos email box.

The emails that are forwarded to the photos email are sent back up to the internet and they return back down through the same filtering process described above, only this time, they end up in the photos email box of Missionary Independent Spiritual Church. A candle Deacon such as Katrina Meade, or someone helping her, downloads email addressed to the church once a day. The emailed petitions that were not properly attached to orders and automatically recorded are edited for length (500 words maximum) and cut-and-pasted into the order record for the matching candles where they stay as a permanent record. To do this, the order database for the church is opened and the petitions are inserted in their proper places. After they have been inserted into the database, they are printed out, and then each one must be matched up with its relevant candle-order, which was previously printed out and given to the deacons for the candle service.

Now, what if the petitions were propery attached to the orders? Well, quite a few steps would be eliminated!

The orders come in from our shopping cart provider with petitions attached. They are downloaded and inserted into the relevant portion of the candle order in the database, then printed out with the order. The order, with petitions attached, is given to the church deacons for the candle service.

Its much more seamless that way, and the potential for delay or misplacing the petition is eliminated.

The same is true of photographs. If they are sent to Lucky Mojo's sales department (order@luckymojo.com) the office manager will either print them out or forward them to the church. Depending on the deacons' schedules vis-a-vis the office managers' and order-takers' schedules, the printed-out photos may not arrive at the church on the same day as the order. However, if the photos are sent directly to the church, they will be downloaded earlier and will be held until the orders are processed and printed out. They will then be affixed to the orders, and when the lights are set, the pictures will be right there.

But if they are sent to the proper email -- photos@missionaryindependent.org, the deacons will have them right away, with no delay.

So, given all of these variables, each with its potential for human or mechanical errors, what is the best procedure to follow?

As of June 2011 (and this may change as we refine our system, of course), the best procedure for sending petitions and photos to the church is:

1) Edit your own petitions to 200 words or less.

2) Attach petitions to your shopping cart order in the message area.

3) If you are sending photos, include a note in the message area of your order stating that photos are being send separately.

4) Send photos, with captions naming the people depicted, to photos@missionaryindependent.org and be sure to state what they are for -- e.g.

A) "These pictures are for my candle service, order Number XXXXX" (you will know your order number when you order)

or

B) "These pictures are for a psychometry reading by miss cat, scheduled for X-Date" (you will know the date of your scheduled reading when you call the shop and set it up with the staff).

Hope this helps!

In my experience, usually roughly 3 weeks (sometimes sooner, rarely but every once in a while later). I had one time where there was a computer mix-up and a candle I ordered wasn't lit. I've ordered a number of candles from them and that's only happened once, but it did happen, so if you're worried, you can call the store or the church and they can check for you.

I've had multiple candles lit at the MISC the past 2 months.

All of the interpretations I've received have been interesting and informative.

I appreciate how they break down the signs meanings, and offer advice on additional work I should do at home. I can feel the warmth coming through the emails.

The signs they see on the candles match up with the various situations progress.

Love to all the hard working candle deacons and interpreting crew!

Hello all -
I am very interested in having a candle set for me; how do you determine which candle you should order?

I am unsure whether when you ask for altar lights set by MISC, that they can e-mail the reports. I thought I found a thread somewhere which mentioned this and I stated in the report my e-mail address and to send the report via e-mail. I am now worried that this isn't available and I may have misread. So I am slightly worried about that.

Also, I placed my first order on the 12th (I think) & a set of three to run on the 13th, when should I expect the report? Do you light one after the other, moving the petition? So the work would be complete in roughly four weeks?

Many thanks in advance,
Callum R

Sol / Callum R,
Yes, MISC can e-mail the candle reports to you. I have it done that way all the time. Regarding when to expect the reports, my email candle reports have come anywhere from 1 week to 3 weeks after the candle has completed its burn, which would make the wait for the candle report 2 weeks to 4 weeks from the time the candle was ordered/set. Each situation is different depending on how busy they are with candle settings. Your wait could be shorter or longer. If the wait goes longer than 4 weeks, though, I would call the shop to make sure your order was received and/or started, just to be safe. I do not know their process on how they actually handle the setting of lights in runs...sorry I can't help in that regard...but I can tell you I L-O-V-E having lights set in a run and find it very beneficial. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply JAG, I'm glad to hear that they can e-mail the reports. I'm looking forward to receiving one as this is my first time setting lights on the MISC altar, so should make for an exciting read. I imagine that they would use the same petition paper and move it from vigil to vigil until complete.

Thanks for wishing me good luck also :)

All the best and thanks again,
Callum R

Hi, DestinyAndFate1 --

Nicole left MISC to pursue other interests and other paths in life. She's doing well and still living nearby.

We were very fortunate to hire Mother Katrina to take on the role of lead candle deacon, working 5 days a week. Katrina is one of the most compassionate and caring people i know, and brings real love to her work on behalf of clients. In addition to setting lights and interpreting them, she is also MISC's liaison to the Crystal Silence League and downloads all of the prayers that are posted there by folks who are in need of help.
