Who Was Adele Myrtle Clemens?

Between the years 1919 and 1972, newspapers from coast to coast published articles about this card reader, astrologer, author, lecturer, and pastor of Divine Harmony Spiritual Church.

When she wasn’t speaking on various metaphysical subjects, she was composing musical scores, creating artworks under a variety of pseudonyms, teaching art and music, and writing books and pamphlets on subjects ranging from history to the development of psychic powers.

Traveling worldwide, she was a vaudeville performer, an associate of the charismatic preacher and social reformer Father Major Divine in Harlem, New York, a portrait artist in Hollywood, California, and an initiate into a secret Egyptian occult order. With the occult author Mikhail Strabo, she co-wrote How to Conduct a Candle Light Service, a manual still in use by Spiritual Church deacons to this day.

An Artist Among The Spirits represents the culmination of over six years of research and investigation into the life and times of this amazing woman by Reverend Jon Saint Germain, an ordained minister, prolific author, and current pastor of Divine Harmony Spiritual Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
