This protection spell is based on the herbal traditions of Mediterranean folk magic. It can be used for self-protection or for protection of a location.
In a bowl, mix together the following 10 ingredients:
1. Dried Basil

4. Spearmint

5. Bay leaf

8. Fennel seeds

This can be steeped into tea for baths, floor washes etc.
Write the name of each person in your home in red ink on a Lemon leaf; one leaf per person including pets; put these leaves at the bottom of a small bowl; add the herb mixture on top of the leaves; then bury three items in the herbs:
1. A whole clove of Garlic;
2. An iron nail or spike with the pointy tip facing your front door (iron repels evil);

3. A blue glass eye charm against the evil eye.

You may place a St. Michael statue or picture up behind it.

Thank the herbs, the iron, the elements, the angels, and God. Prayer works. Keep this mixture in a closed container by your front door to ward off negative energy or evil spirits. It can also be used to make a mojo you can wear or carry, to dress protective candles, to sprinkle around the perimeter of your home, to burn as an incense, or to bury in a flower pot by the front door. When the scent fades, you can brew it into a tea and scrub your house with the tea or you can throw it out in nature, all around the house.
