Either way, you could create a spirit jar with the remaining grave dirt (if the spirit is willing to help) and keep them as a guide...

I always consult the spirits through the Caracoles de los muertos to ensure they are willing to help before I take some of their dirt. And its always a good idea to see if they're willing to continue helping you even after the work, if so....Make up a spirit jar for them and put them on your altar ...

You can heat up your hands and feet with Florida Water. You set the Florida Water on a safe surface and light it. You put your hands over it for money and luck. You walk over it to make you fast.

I use both Florida water and Kananga Water on my Bóveda (ancestor/spirit altar)
My Indio really like Kananga Water more than Florida water so, I offer him what he likes..

Was this the grave dirt of an ancestor, or a willing spirit who agreed to help you??

One suggestion that I would have is this:

Work with your ancestors on this one. Your mom, May God bless her is simply very protective of her baby, no matter what your age may be and perhaps rather than you trying to calm her it might do to go to y'alls ancestors and ask them to help you sort it all ...

It really depends on the kind of answer that you're wanting.
Personally for questions of should I take on a client, or should I do this or that work I use the Obi (Coconut) form of divination that was taught to me by my Madrina, Or...I use the Caracoles de Muertos (an Espiritismo ...

As a quick aside to the urine thing:

I was always taught that whenever you use a van-van wash or chinese floor wash you should always add a little of your urine to it so that it is YOUR personal cleaner....I've done it the way my teacher (Miss Vera) taught me yeeeeears ago and its never failed me ...

You most certainly can do work for others. :-)

Most of us professional Conjure-Folk do work for people on a daily basis such as setting lights, fixing up conjure bags, etc. Just make sure that when fixing the money lamp (whichever way you want to do it) you include everyone that it is for...

Here's a nice way that I learned how to do simple house cleansings...

Mix Holy water with Florida water & using a sprig of Rompe Saraguey (Bitter Bush)
Sprinkle through the whole house/apt/etc. EVERYWHERE... Windows, doors, closets, etc.

Now burn on a charcoal a mixture of Frankincense & camphor ...
